But I didn't get to pick up my things before they disappeared for as long as I was stuck on the roof, trying to get into the spaceship and jumping to the ground to see if i spawn inside the ship. It's only trophies that I lost, I know, but I spent hours getting them and there's no way to get them back. As I also only have 2 days on the server I wouldn't mind having to do everything again, even the pez tunnel challenge -_- (man, that guy loves cobwebs). So I ask for your help to see if someone could reset my account, to have the opportunity to find everything again. I know that if you die you lose your things, but I hope you can understand that it was because of an error beyond my reach that I did not have the chance to try to recover them. About the spawn glitch on the roof of the spaceship, I think it was that I used one of the spaceship's beds, I don't remember which one. I await your response, and I will understand whatever the resolution of my problem. My IGN is the same as here in the forum, DagV5

I've searched the post history here on the forum, and on /r/McPublic and read through the nerd.nu wiki. but i cant find any mention of the Port number for the server? Am I blind? Missing something super obvious?

Every now and then, I'm successful, but most of the time, all I get is a brief glimpse of the server that lasts maybe a second, and then I get sent to the lobby. Sometimes I make it to the lobby, but usually I just get disconnected. If it helps, I recorded a video showing what I see:

 

 

I also have similar problems with P, but I seem to be just fine on other completely different servers. Also, I know of at least one other player who was experiencing the same issue, so it's not just me.

I've brought it up on Slack, but no one there was entirely sure what was going on or how to fix it.

"Disconnected" and "An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine."

 

I have NO idea why this happens. Please help me.

When on Creative I use /pet wear, for other players it appears to work but for my client the pet appears to stand where it was when i ran the command, and does not appear on my player character's head in third person view. I can hear the pet if I leave the area - though i cannot see it.

 

I cannot use any /home or teleport commands (or compass) with a pet on my head (they act like they are working, but I don't get teleported), but that's not a big deal. Just wanted to report the command isn't working as expected - I'd post an issue to the github, but it might be an interaction with something else C is running. Not a huge issue anyway.

 

Steps to reproduce:

  • log on to c.nerd.nu with a 1.10.2 client (I have optifine installed though I don't know that that makes a difference)
  • run "/pet spawn chicken" or some other type of pet
  • run "/pet list" to find the ID for your pet (in my case it was #3)
  • run "/pet wear 3" or whatever ID number your pet was.
  • observe the pet remain in the location it was when you ran /pet wear. My chicken was flapping its wings continuously.
  • press f5 to enter third-person view - your pet is not visible on your player character's head.
  • have another player observe your player character - they will report your pet is on your head.
  • leave the area and listen - you will occasionally hear the pet, though it is still not visible on your head in f5
]]>4236Thu, 25 Aug 2016 23:43:28 +0000Connection Issueshttps://nerd.nu/forums/topic/4231-connection-issues/Not sure exactly when it started, but the frequency has become daily now.  Each day, at around 10:15pm CST to around 12:15 CST, I can't connect to the server.  Sometimes the issue lasts longer, sometimes shorter.  When trying to connect, error message is just Failed to connect to the server Timed Out.  I have also tried connecting via console client, which the error message received there is, Unknown or not supported MC version '1.10.2', followed by Failed to ping this IP.  I can ping server fine via cmd, but it times out when looking at server list in MC client.  I have tried other versions of 1.10, I have reinstalled MC.  I have tried connecting on multiple computers, as well as fresh VMs and receive the same errors.  I have disabled firewalls, anti-viruses, bypassed routers, reinstalled java, uninstalled all mods, tried new OS install on VM.  When looking online I have only found issues pointing to server side problems, but nothing specific to narrow it down to.  The best I can do is offer a time, which is approx. 10pm CST to 12pm CST, now occurring daily.  Any help is appreciated, thanks.

 

Edit: also forgot to mention I can connect to all other servers, but not p.nerd.nu, and have even tried c.nerd.nu with same effect.

I was able to connect to p.nerd.nu yesterday. It stopped letting me into the game and started to only allow me into the lobby. I tried reinstalling Java and updating graphics drivers. Now I just get the "old" link when trying to connect to the server and the "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x00007ffdc39666e7, pid=9112, tid=7644".

I have followed the "1.9 - FAQs (READ BEFORE POSTING)" and did everything that was asked (i.e. updating drivers). I am still able to connect to other servers without any issues. Does anyone have any ideas?

 

I am running the latest version of Windows 10 on a Dell.

I started the wiki and originally hosted it for a year or two, because of financial issues i passed the server torch off to Deaygo. I would assume Deaygo is still the current host?

Always a fan of the risky link of the day, I drilled it into a browser and found that it is a griefing team, which is a thing?

Sorry I've owned minecraft since alpha, but after playing through to beta, I didn't really play a huge amount, mostly to other cool games and free time sucks.  Have been playing on s.nerd and enjoying, I read server rules and understand griefing is on honor system, there is no protected land plots, just locked chests, furnaces, etc. so didn't know if this was something the admins would be interested in.

Please feel free to throw me a stfu noob if such is warranted, I'd just hate for someone's hard work to be trashed.

Things tested:
  1. Running with NoCheatPlus disabled
  2. Running with CommandHelper disabled
  3. Running with PlumpXP disabled
  4. Running with MobLimiter disabled
  5. Migrated LWC from sqlite to mysql
  6. Reverted bPermissions version to last stable, lag got worse
  7. Reviewed redstone activity with RedstoneClockDetector, appears normal
  8. Reviewed spigot timings reports @todo generate and attach during peak times
  9. Bypassed BungeeCord connecting to PvE directly, still lag spikes

Observations:

  • Lag seems related to login events ( by extension chunk loads )
  • reverting bPermissions from v2.12 to v2.10 increased lag noticeably, needs a review
  • Teleporting to unloaded chunks sometimes triggers a lag spike
  • Issue could not be triggered using two accounts on an alternate server, seems to be tied to in game actions/number of people online
  • Opening chests appears to trigger lag occasionally, though not consistently
