I'm not 100% sure that you guys ban by IP, considering proxies and universities/schools sharing IPs are a thing, so I would like to know, for a peace of mind, how you would go about handling it? roastnewt Posted July 30, 2014 Report Share Posted July 30, 2014 When you connect to a server, you send both your username and your UUID (universal unique identifier). The UUID was added by Mojang as a way of keeping track of accounts, even if their names change. MCBouncer will be updating to keep track of bans and notes using UUIDs instead of usernames, so changing your name will have no effect on your bans or notes. 5 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
