Just curious, is there any estimated time that S may return? Where did all the S players go? P?

Sorry, been away from civilization and internet for a bit. But I don't know what you're suggesting. Are you saying start this as a new server without nerd, or start working on everything without nerds permission?
If it's the first, then I guess I should explain that I really don't care all that much to start my own community and servers and what not. I've been pushing ideas out like this since like 2014 or something, if I really cared to start on my own or join another community then I probably would have already done that.
If you're saying start on it on my own for nerds usage, why would I waste my time? If head admins had any interest in this idea at all, they probably would have replied here with some concerns or questions, or possibly have messaged me directly about it. Since neither of those have happened, I assume they are going to "keep this idea in mind" along with the many other ideas players have submitted over the years. Maybe one day we'll get that zombie survival event that I think C had a building contest for a couple years ago.

Mass ban amnesty has happened, we removed 80k+ bans from the nerd.nu lists.
If you were not a part of those ban removals then your ban was considered fairly recent. It has been suggested and warmly accepted that we need to review the new survival ban process, and be less stringent than the current process of instantly banning for most rule breaking. However this does not impact past bans, if you have been banned then simply appeal it like everyone else has to.
Oh, I was unaware of that. Thanks for the news c45y! I guess you miss a few things when you arent really around anymore :P

All these players have made Survival for me personally a great experience, although they have probably grown out or are now adults. Tell them if they want to relive old survival nostalgia. *

Yeah, we might not have been the best of friends, but you still made the server fun/ frustrating. And thats a good thing.

Due to my increasingly busy life, I'm going to be taking my leave from Nerd until things calm down.
I've had a good time playing on S. I was lucky enough to witness a lot of crazy drama, amazing clan rivalries and meet some great people. Although I have always been awful at PvP, it was still fun trying to rek some of you scrubs.
Thanks to all you past and present players for making the game fun. Especially, Hamsale, Emery17, Mrg, Diz, rtr, Tharine, n00ble, pkome, buchanamanaman, prebenmar, sir noob, chewsonthemove, IDANUB, uni0, tornadohorse, aboov, mumberthrax and all the rest of you that are escaping my memory at the moment. You probably know who you are anyway.

I have never seen any issues with healthy discussions on politics or religion. If the conversation has not degraded to the point where its getting offensive or multiple complaints have been made, there is no reason for a mod to step in.

Not sure if its just me, but I no longer have the perms to ban, kick or add notes to players. It also tells me I don't have perms to use /trace, however it shows up in chat after a bit of a delay.

Theres a mod that makes in and out for commercial buildings +1
I need some mad strats for starting out, i always end up getting into negatives when i build my industrial commercial and residential.
I've had pretty good luck with just using dirt roads to start out with and just expand extremely slow. Not much of a strategy, but seems to be working for me.

The community has not chosen a new name, has chosen to not give out free food to get to unclaimed land, has asked not to have civcraft, has asked to be close to vanilla, and have made Uncehaven on P.
The admins alone have only dictated (I think) what the settings of NoCheatPlus are, which affect the skeleton and rubberbanding you have.
Im not sure the last time you have ever logged into survival, but there are some pretty massive farms right near spawn and along the roads. Also, unlike P, those arent protected, so anyone can take from them as long as they replant.
edit, bonus whinging: log back in a third time and get serious lag where I fall through chunks, rubberband all over the place and can't eat food. #2 die from lag and respawn in "twi and redwalls super secret hotub" which is a super creepy experience. #3 the warp signs at spawn are pretty cool.
I lagged out while logging in once and fell into the hotub. I also wish it didnt exist/ i never found out about it.

Natdog has done this a couple times now, I don't think its caused any issues in the past, so I don't see why it has to now. Its just a fun post for the rest of the community to vote, it doesn't have any implications towards their chances of getting staff. Its not anything serious, so lets not take this and turn it into something that will cause drama. Just have fun with it!

Personally I like the idea of moving to a modpack, I think it would really draw people back into survival, adding features like guns, and perhaps other military items like tanks, or mods could very well be just what we need to bring our player base back. But this change would almost require a new name. the few stragglers remaining on the current s.nerd.nu that will attempt to join the new S and not realize they need a modpack, or from other places on the internet. We need to properly make it known of these changes so the right players will take advantage of it.
I guess what I am getting at is 'if we had a skywars server, we wouldn't simply call it s.nerd.nu, it is a survival based server, sure... but it's simply not nerdnu's pvp survival with an environment'
It might just be me, but adding guns and tanks...just sounds too extreme.
