    I beleive its that, I think the current definition of spawn camping is too loose. Sometimes in the past it has been enforced as having to stop after a certain number of times, sometimes it has been enforced by were you killed a person, and by popular opinion at the time.

     

    Also, One reason in the past I have spawn camped, is to draw out attention, and get people in armor to come and fight, to stop the bad guy, as a way to make pvp.

     

    Now with the lower player numbers, there ins't always someone to defend the people being spawn camped, which is a real problem.

     

    Earlier in your first appeal you denied that you were spawn camping, then you apologize for spawn camping and promise never to kill anyone at spawn again, and now you're back to denying that you were spawn camping. So i'm a bit confused because you're telling me two different things.

    As to this, Spawn camping is loosely defined, the "rule breaking" spawn camping, that I and a lot of other players have come to know over the past revisions, as it has mainly been enforced this way, is not allowing people out of spawn no matter what road they go down, and by allowing them to go down other roads than the one your camping, it wouldn't be considered spawn camping.

     

    As to the spawn camping of DerpyMarshmallow, I was definitely being a meanie, and took it way to far in an attempt to drudge up some fighting action, sadly, S currently doesn't have the numbers for that. Instead of killing new players to try and get experienced ones to attack you, I think the best thing to get PvP on survival now to keep and get new players would be to help out the new players by giving them some starting supplies and food, and letting them be for a while and to get established before visciously slaughtering them in their base, allowing a much more fair fight.

  3. first of all, I don't even see how its spawncamping, We even told this person we would allow him to leave from another side of spawn, we just killed him at one side of it, and as you can see from the logs, the last few times I killed him, He dropped iron from somewhere, so I killed him one last time to see if he had any more iron. The player also easily could have utilized the signs in spawn that teleport you to a random area in the vicinity, that he was even told about by you.( I don't even see why there is a rule against spawn camping if those are available). Also, My ban is for spawn camping, not trolling, but in that aspect, It wasn't exactly one sided, he called me a dipshit (2014-12-20 17:12:53 | <DerpyMarshmellow> YOU WERE RUNNING AFTER ME DIPSHIT)

  5. So heres my issue, There is a protected arena underneath my spawn plot. 

     

    As you can see from this imgur almbum http://imgur.com/a/y3z6p It is directly underneath the fall pit I am digging.

     

    The last block of spawn is at 53 X, My fall pit is at 54X, the blocks extending from the arena underneath spawn are also at 54X. Directly in the way of my fall trap.

    There is a 3 block buffer zone where players can fall into the void. The KOTV arena would still be the same if it was just 1 block to fall into the void in. But to fix our plot, it would work with 2.  http://i.imgur.com/8P9vtYc.png

     

    The wall at X:54 can be moved back 1 block towards spawn and re protected, to X:53 which would allow us to continue our build,keep KOTV enclosed, and only change the falling zone by 1 block, which would have NO effect on KOTV gameplay, but would still fix our plot.

     

    I was told at first this would not be done because it would leave KOTV open, but if you carefully read over my suggestion, you'll notice that is not the fact.

           Rev 26 was great apart from the player count. Now survival is becoming more and more like PvE, why would people chose survival over PvE when its similar but PvE has more players. Survival shouldn't be full of care bears, it should be a hostile environment in all aspects. Survival used to run on hostility. What I mean by that is, people played, not just for themselves, but to destroy their enemies. It can work, think back to last revision with the Civcraft players. The Civcraft players joined and harrassed and killed us using their numbers and huge amounts of playtime. They were huge dicks to everyone, and everyone hated them, they weren't scared about being assholes to people because they weren't scared of being banned for harrassment after some noob cries to an admin, because they could just go back to civcraft. Everyone decided they disliked them so much, most of the regular S clans declared war on them. Clans that were previously enemies were now together fighting for one cause, to destroy the civcraft scum. The S regulars played a ton the first few weeks, geared up, and had small skirmishes with the civcraft players, such as this and this. Then after everyone got geared up and ready to fight, they raided the discharge base, and took them out completely. Discharge decided not to rebuild, as they had all their stuff on civcraft to back to. But think about it, What if they had rebuilt? It would have been an all out war all rev long between the S regulars and the CivScum. I want something like that to happen again, wether it is on a civcraft style map, or a cardinal roads no griefing revision. Killing a common enemy like DisCharge with fellow S regulars, some that I didn't even like, was probably the most fun I have ever had on S.

     

                     admins, please to not ban people for frivelous reasons on S.Survival has always been hostile, and the less hostile it gets, the more players we have leave the server. Survival needs to be hostile, players need to have all their playtime fueled by hatred!

     

     

    TLDR: S is becoming PvE, make Survival really stand for Survival.

    It seems there just going to be using it debuff campers, but I can definitely see downsides, for instance if someone keeps running out of spawn and hitting you with their fists, and you get debuffed enough they can kill you.

     

    Couldnt find anything for Combat Rebalancer, nothing on redwall or nerds github.

    No, not at all. Most revisions in the past every change is stated in a post. Knowledge is power, even during the revision, not knowing how pvp has been rebalanced will definitely result in some frustrating deaths from being ill prepared.
