    > This appeal does not acknowledge the rules in any way, instead denying any rulebreaking took place

This post indicates you have either not read or are choosing to ignore the appeal guidelines. Please review the rules as well as the appeal guidelines, and let us know on this thread if you have any questions on any specific rule or guideline. Thanks.

  2. This appeal is inconsistent with your gameplay as follows.

    - You destroyed 1665 wheat on others' fields while only replanting around 400, which is extensive crop grief.
    - You destroyed players' fences at -3 -213, resulting in releasing cows penned by other players.
    - You took all of the sugar cane in the claim at -24 -332 without replanting.

In addition, in several locations you dug directly towards ores and interacted with blocks and lava in a manner consistent with xraying.

    - This was most recently observed in the area surrounding 97 19 -574 where you looked at then tunneled down into a cave towards diamonds [1 img 1], and at 97 16 -577 where you stopped tunneling mid-course to collect ores through a wall. [1 imgs 2 and 3]
    - Your death at 97 9 -576 was while digging straight down into lava directly above diamonds. [2]

When joining the server, you spawned in a room that clearly outlined the rules (also listed at https://nerd.nu/rules/). This appeal does not acknowledge the rules in any way, instead denying any rulebreaking took place, which indicates you have either not read or not understood the rules, which you would need to when appealing a ban.

Please review the the rules and reply here if you have any questions.

From all the themes that have I've come across, the "Road Trip" theme is by far my most favorite

AGREED, theme was a blast this rev 😄 in particular the custom builds were a great addition!

I still love that 'noob settlement' thing, is like my favorite historical site ever 😂

Would you like to see a custom nether again?

I'm always a fan of painted/plumped dimensions as it adds something neat to explore beyond the vanilla experience, so even if a fair bit of the nether is dedicated to the new vanilla nether stuff it'd be cool if (perhaps further out) there were still custom things to check out.

How did you feel about the custom End this rev? Did you like the separation into islands?

Love the islands. Mmmoar islands. All the islands \o/ (maybe more separate/distinct ones but smaller? To make up for any decreased customization in the nether next rev) love the 'fall into void to randomly warp to overworld' wrinkle as usual.

    Dragon Fight:

    • How did you feel about The New Dragon fight? Was it too easy/difficult/just right in your opinion?
    • Any other suggestions you’d like to share for the fight?

Possibly less solo-able for casual/solo players? With a couple pals it wasn't too tricky, but we didn't end up farming as many. Definitely felt the longer fight 😄

Conversely the fight did feel a lot more fun and novel, with the multiple stages and cool effects! It'd definitely be interesting to see how else the fight could play out... is the Java source for the fight available? 😮

    • How have the custom drop trades been so far this rev? Any kinds of trades you’d like to see in the future?

LOVE the drop trades being 1:1 - no more accumulating them waiting for a trade to be viable! And it makes Nerdcoin a more viable trade unit as well.

Speaking of trades - I'm a big fan of custom trades, but making them more accessible (less super-item-y and more everyday-stuff-ey?) could work to counteract the effect villager trades locking up more easily has had (i.e. farms accumulating more villagers and thus lag to compensate).

In any case trades are always fun 😄

    Any other comments?

😃 Thanks PAdmins for all your hard work!

  4. Hello,

I recently tried revisiting the servers since I last played 3-4 years ago. I played (from what I can remember) on PvE Rev 6 most frequently, and Rev 7 a bit. I was a somewhat active player at the time. However, upon attempting to rejoin recently, I found a ban message.

I do actually recall running into this message before. However, at the time, I chose to stay away because it was actually a good way to keep off of minecraft - I was letting myself be distracted far too much by games, and needed to focus on my courses at college. However, I have more time for games now, and would like to be able to revisit the mcpublic servers at least once for nostalgia's sake (though possibly longer, if pleasantville and some of my other favorite nostalgic standbys are still 'around').

My ban message says something about 'xray on chaos.'  While by far I played mostly on PvE, I did play for a while on nerd.nu's other gamemodes, including chaos. However, I have never used x-ray skins, mods, software, or any such hacks, and don't know why my account might have been flagged for doing so during the time I played.

I had been asked for (and gave) others use of my account in the past. I've since asked those involved about the issue but they've denied using hacks/etc while playing. My account standing seems to be fine on other servers I've played on in the past, and I honestly don't know if this might have to do with them or some other issue.

If, of course, there is evidence for misuse/shenanigans under my account I understand that being sufficient cause to deny my appeal, as it was still my account and therefore my responsibility. If that is the case, though, I'd like a copy of the evidence so that I can deal with the persons responsible on my side of things.

(If it's of any benefit, I'd like to mention that the other people who have had access to my account have since been given their own accounts and no longer play on mine, and am not going to be giving access to my account to anyone now that I'm living on my own.)

If there are any logs from the time that the ban was instated, I'd like to know if there are any specifics as to what caused the ban. The IP address info won't help unfortunately (all the IP's, I'm expecting, will have been from the same home network) but any other info on players/movements/etc might (chat would be great, but I can understand not still having the logs from that far back).

    ~

Thank you for your time and consideration,

    zedadex
