Guest
This meeting is far overdue. Right now, I'd like to focus on finding times for when people will be available from the end of July to mid August.Click here to access the whenisgood page and then: Select your timezone from the drop-down menu. Click on all the dates / times you can attend. Submit your name at the bottom right corner of the page, so we can find out who you are! This will help us to ensure that there is a healthy balance of staff attending with the community as an imbalance will not work so well (as seen in our first fireside chat). We'll be looking to bring structure to this meeting in the sense of allowing people to speak without having to shout over several others to do so. Additionally, we'll try to run through a brief "news" package from each server / team to make sure that everyone is up to speed with current events however we'll try to get through that part fairly quickly to ensure that we can listen, answer questions and talk as it wouldn't be a meeting if we're just reading from prepared statements. Once you have had the chance to submit the times you feel you can attend for your timezone, please submit any discussion points you wish to raise below or any suggestions for how the meeting is organised / run are appreciated too. I'll be aiming to reply back here on how we're going to run the meeting once people have had a chance to lend any feedback.
Guest Former Staff
Just a quick reply to say that I've not forgotten about this event, I've been checking the responses to the whenisgood page daily in the hope that there would be more responses. Turnout is looking very poor, generally the feedback shows that we do not have a time where we can bring together a representative from most admin teams and also have a good turnout from other people wanting to attend. I understand that a number of people are currently on or due to take vacation time. My thoughts at this point, given the data, would be to dillute the public meeting across our fire-side chats, ensuring that notes are taken and that we try to aim for the times where most people are available. Guest Former Staff
We've decided to avoid having a community meeting, primarily based on the feedback from the whenisgood page. The results showed that we would not have a good representation from various admin teams as well as a healthy portion from the wider community too. Instead, we'll be hosting server specific meetings with the aim to have representation from the head and tech admin teams to ensure that decisions can be put into motion, alongside as many of the server admins from the respective server (creative, pve and event. A meeting for survival will take place once our plan is more established, 1.9 is out and hopefully we have an admin team in place too). This means that we can have shorter meetings, focused on specific servers. These will be advertised across the servers, subreddit and forums with a whenisgood page to gather availability and led by the respective server admins.
