This was reported by the player as grief and dealt with as such. I understand that pranks can be fun for all parties involved, but when it stops being fun for even just one person (almost always the victim, as in this case) it crosses a line from prank to grief. If you cannot determine where that line is before you start your prank, I'd recommend you avoid the prank entirely.
