I will respect the rules and glad that you may let me on your sever i will not grief anyone thank you

I got banned for Griefing. My mistake was taking matters into my own hands. Somebody broke blocks of my house I built and I tried to back at who I thought did this to me. I should have reported what happened to me instead of Griefing other people. This happened awhile back and my cousin who lives in a different state wants me to get back on this server so we play mindcraft together. Please let me know what I can do to lift this ban? Thank you for your help.
