  1. Regarding the previous appeal, https://nerd.nu/forums/index.php?/topic/2665-poppyspy-trooprm32/ Sorry about the missing merchants debacle, I was concentrating on breeding lots of horses and donkeys after finishing the hydro sugar roof, while my other friend began building a merchant management system. He did in fact bring some merchants into the facility from the nether at some point in comprehension, although I was not immediately aware of it. As ridiculous as it was I figured it was something that would get easily fixed like it did for some of my friend’s animals when they went missing or got killed. I believe the whole lot has been raised at this point and I was sorry to my friends as I figure the glowstone exploiting got it all rolled back & deleted. Again I didn’t think it would be viewed with such severity. I lost track of the rules… the more I used the glowstone the more it appeared it wasn’t that bad. It had crossed my mind early on, but after doing it over several weeks I got the idea that it wasn’t breaking the rules anymore as other things allowed seemed along the same lines. Either way, the rules are definitely clear now as appeals I’ve seen here have clarified how things are looked at. Hopefully it can be seen that the rules are understood at this point, and now that it is the 16th can the account please be unbanned?
  2. Glowstone is probably somewhat of an exploit that should of been considered and asked about, however it was something that was believed didn't qualify as a hack or mod related to gathering ore as that was what appeared to be what the rules were trying to thwart. just wanted to convey the confusion of the severity of what this was over!
  3. This is just regarding the closed appeal that can no longer be responded to. https://nerd.nu/forums/index.php?/topic/2660-poppyspy-trooprm32/ It should be considered how players are interpreting the documented rules. You cannot expect those who have only played on your servers just recently to understand the historical relevance of rules as if they have played on these servers for years and understand the precise state of establishment based on that history. If a player is clearly confused about how things are run & gives logical reasons why the rule wasn't clear or was confusing. I'd hope you consider it & not just respond with “This has always been the case” in expectation that everyone knows what you know has always been the case. What an xray clearly is or is not isn't documented well on that wiki. Based on what Trooprm32 described in the appeal as “Any Xray” would have you believe that the client modification Zyin’s HUD is not allowed. On the contrary it is because other moderators & the server community clearly has a historical view of acceptance towards Zyin’s HUD and suggests it to players even though the modification allows you to clearly see animal information through geometry which should qualify as usage of an xray especially regarding the explanation of “Any Xray”. So "any xray" can't be correct & It appears there is an unrealistic expectation that players understand historical details or past issues while interpreting the documented rules regarding what "any xray" is. If the only things the written rules clarify as xray is the usage of client modifications to achieve ore & the server community has an acceptance for some client modification such as Zyin's HUD that have detection capabilities just short of ore detection, you might actually consider why someone would be confused on what the rules actually are in regards to the term xray as well as how this appeal manifested and transpired.
  4. In defense of the images describing the usage of glowstone & fence… The term xray as outlined within the Rules (http://www.redditpublic.com/wiki/Rules), can be referenced in two areas, one under Universal & the other under Survival. Both references speak of it along side ore-detection & under the detailed universal rules xray was put in the context of players using modifications as modifications is the subject of the bullet point where the xray term is first used. The only other mention of the xray term is under the Survival specific rules which did not further define or put xray in any other context and is supposed to be specific to the rules regarding the behavior on the Survival related servers which is not the server in which this behavior has occurred on. Because of how xray is outlined in the rules any reader could and should really only be under the impression that use of modifications or ore-detection are the requirement to be in offense as these are the only specific details associated with this term. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ In defense of the images described as directly mining ore… The images are related to branch mining as you can clearly see the same 3 high tunnel being dug towards the blue diamond ore, one would think that if someone was to go directly for diamond ore or any other type of ore that they would logically only dig a 2 high tunnel or begin to follow a pattern of only digging from one ore deposit to the next as that is the minimal requirement to advance around the game's collision detections. Repetition of the same 3 high tunnel is clearly following the same mining pattern as someone might do while mining in their individual play style or patterns. There is no evidence in these images that shows a mining pattern related to greedy or direct advancement towards ore related resources. Since no concrete evidence of ore-detection or modifications has been presented one should conclude that there has been no offense regarding the Rules (http://www.redditpublic.com/wiki/Rules).
  5. Speaking on behalf user name Poppyspy, I believe no xray was used to find ore.
