I've done my best to stay out of this but it's really getting ridiculous. To begin with, I really don't see why there is public outcry in this. You guys voted on this issue in a public poll that was asked to be conducted. The majority vote was to only keep the upvotes. You guys were begging for a democracy and got what the majority asked for. This is your bed, you've made it, now lay in it.

This Saturday I will be hosting a maze arena at 7p CST with my left wing, MrLoud15, on Survival.
The matches will be as follows (if unspecified, it will be a kitted match):

4vMinotaur (Gear supplied; more difficult Minotaur)

Just as a reminder, the rules for the Minotaur match are as follows:
An admin is in diamond gear with a diamond sword, placed in the middle of the map (he or she is the Minotaur).
4 to 8 players are selected and given iron armor and sword to defeat the Minotaur; these players will enter through the gates.
The players are not allowed to kill their team members unless stated otherwise; doing so will result in your removal and restarting the match.
The goal is to kill the Minotaur.
If the players defeat the Minotaur, then all participating players are given a prize; if the Minotaur defeats the players then no prizes are given.

Getting back to your question about the signs being set up:
I have gotten the approval for a sign to be set up for the arena both in spawn and at the base of spawn. However, as stated previously, using the sign at the base of spawn to avoid combat or abuse of it in any way, will not be tolerated. -
After talking to Dray about this, I think we're going to set one up in both locations for you guys. That way it can be easy for all of you, please be advised though, using this sign for the purpose of combat avoidance will not be tolerated.
Let me clear it with an S admin first to be sure though. <3

My maze arena will be holding tournaments this Wednesday (January 15th) at 8p CST! No gear needed, this arena is a new style of PvP filled with traps and danger (wouldn't want you to trash your pretty diamond armor on arrows etc.). As a result, gear and weapons (and food!) will be supplied for you to choose from. However, if you all decide you want to risk trashing your armor I will consider letting you bring your pretty diamond suits into the arena.
The arena supports 1v1, 2v2, and a version of FFA. Get your mates together as there is teamwork encouraged in certain parts!
There will be warp signs up in spawn, active on the night of the arena. Winners of each match will be given pre-approved prizes by LadyRavenOwl.
Don't be late though! It's gonna start 8p CST on the dot!

At this moment in time there are no clues or leads to the chest other than the book titles, and the notice there is possibly traps.
They are all over the map in rather interesting places from spawn towards the edges. All of them are public access, 99% of them are surface level in some capacity. If it turns out that some of the harder to find chests need hints, then we will address that when the time comes. I'll be on later tonight to have books turned in.

Here is the initial list of books:

Feel free to suggest new book titles or what some of the synopses should be.
Game Summary:
10 books in 10 separate chests hidden across the map (Draykhar, MrLoud15, and I have the list of coords kept on where each chest is on the map, this way moderators can play too)
Each book title corresponds with a set list of prizes done by admins
Books are returned at the library on Blue Road into the designated chests and given their prize by an admin
Trap chests are also in place and players are also allowed to set up trap chests as well
When all the books are returned, game is reset
For the harder to locate books, hints may be posted as to the where the chests are located

I was telling Tornado that I'm more than willing to moderate this. I do believe draykhar also has tomorrow off so he will be interested in attending. For those who live in the States, that is 1p PST, 3p CST, and 4p EST.

Yesterday there was a meeting held before the whole bounty thing came up to talk about different things. A topic that came up was games and events for Survival as a whole. We discussed a few different games and events but wanted to extend the invitation for players to suggest things as well. This is a thread for people to do that.
A bounty system has been brought up as something of interest for the server and was a game we suggested before the subreddit post was created.
When it was discussed among us this is what was idea that was being played around with:

Tag/Man Hunt

Pick from a list of volunteers to go and hide
People could sign up on the forums to be on the list
One clue given as to where they are hiding or no clues
Person who finds and kills them first is awarded a prize

Feel free to suggest games that both involve PvP and non-PvP aspects.

Clarification of build rules
in PvE

I do believe I have heard a little about what has potentially brought this subject up.
This apparently varies depending on the server. On C, they move the build. On S, one player has to take down their build as according to log block and what an admin says. On P, I have heard that it doesn't matter; if House_noob refuses to move his house, then it stays.
That all said, only admins can move builds or decide how it is ruled on all servers. Land disputes are not handled by moderators.
Build size is not typically the deciding factor, it's all about who was there first. As for signs, on survival, you must put blocks up around your area and have a sign some place that says you're claiming the area. On Creative, it's more about marking the whole area and building in the marked area. On P, I feel like it would be very similar to the S rules but you can't get an area protected until you build on it.
