Im sorry but i see it different.
A Headadmin that was voted by the community always has the fact that he was votet in the back of his head, with that on his mind he cant do his job right, because he always fears to "punish" ppl that voted for him. Also it would become a popularity contest.
Also users should never under any circumstances vote on bans or their duration.
why ?
Simple they dont know what happened or all they know is what they heard from a friend.
The users dont all like each other so they will vote for a ban or a longer banduration against a player they dont like
The ban just involves the Mod/Admin/Headadmin and the banned User, and if the user doesnt want that the mod that banned him takes charge he can always say he wants another mod to take care of him.
The other users are completely uninvolved, so why should we drag them into it ?
If a user has a good and valid point for a Ban he can always post it in the banappeal (as long as he doesnt barge in and says the typical hes a nice player unban him plox)
- No, not exactly. Now this is where being popular would gain you more votes. There could be a perfectly deserving player that keeps to themselves more and isn't well known that wouldn't get mod for that reason. However, I think allowing the community to nominate players for mod would be a good idea.
You are already able to nominate players for a Moderation post. Just pm your oppinion to a admin or headadmin.
Also a little story about that.
When i was asked if i would like to become a mod for the first time i said No because i didnt feel ready for it.
Two months later i was asked again, and again i answered No , but at that time Barlimore was around a little longer so i added, But if you are looking for a mod take a look at Barlimore hes pure modmaterial imho
Later that month he was modded.
So as you can see your oppinion always matters.

As tolgar just confirmed that they will ignore everything and they probably will I would just like to point out that tolgar is administration and administration always backs itself.
If you really believe that than you are an idiot, administration is reviewed even more because we represent the server and though that the community. If i make a mistake (which i do alot sometimes) i know that one of our admins always tells me what i did wrong and that i cant do it that way, even if i wanted too and the admin thinks its a good idea, also our every move is watched and judged by the users.
Which means if we have only a little screw up at least 3 users will flame the hell out of it and demand that we are demodded, and one of them is barneygale who even created subreddit just to flame against the mods and admins. (which also shows that he clearly isnt over it)
And now to the openess part.

Great idea... we were happy that that part was eliminated as a drama starter.
You want the players to vote the headadmins again ?
Fucking great idea, that way we get the users with the most friends ending up as a headadmin instead of the users that are actually good for the server.
The same thing goes for the mods if the users would have decided we would end up with alot of mods that everyone likes but they cant do their job because they are either not suitable for the position or they leave the server because their friends left. Also if players or mods arent happy with the next headadmin they can always speak up.
Theyr oppinion will be heard.

All i need in the forum is the abbility to hide posts which are offtopic racist etc
and to give out warning points

Why should i as a simple mod be able to ban users ? Thats admin work
Also i really dont like to be threatened, so if you want to delete your account because someone deleted your post, just fucking do it, but first think about why it was removed instead of saying you were treated unfairly.
I heard that thread far too often and honestly i am sick of hearing it because most of the users that said it came back after less than a month.
Was that open enough ?

Well imho we dont need the up and downvotesystem.
Imo its intended use is for forums that got a marketplace, so if someone offers good deals and sticks to his word he will of course get good reputation, if someone is a dealbreaker or a scammer of course he gets negative reputation.
The problem in our forum can be explained with this simple sentence.
I HATE THAT GUY LETS DOWNVOTE HIM !!!!111111oneoneeleven.
Wich is one reason why i dont like that system.
Another reason: I know such systems from other forums and in those forums you can only hand out Reputation based on your reputation, also you need do give a reason why you are repping someone. If that reason ist stupid the mods will just delete the given rep and deduct it from your own.
This helps alot to keep such downvotegangs in their place, because someday they simply cant up or down rep anymore.
I guess we need that here too

unfortunatly i have to bring this post up again...
The story is still the same
After removing teddylover from my friendlist 4 times, and sending her a pm that i dont want to be friends with her i switched my Fl settings so ill have to acknoweledge requests.
After that she tried again to get me onto her friendlist. After her last try i changed my profilefeed to make it clear that i dont like her, and that i dont want to be her friend.
Today she made another friendlistrequest ....
Im am really starting to feel harrased about that
You got some advice for me ?

So ive read the thread so far and to me it sounds more and more like you guys want to start a multi platform and gaming clan instead of an Event. Dont get me wrong it would be a nice idea, and i would love to have a Clantag that says [NERD] infront of my name but i really dont think we got the ressources for that.
But still i think its worth a try Both of those ideas

Allow for a little more leniency with griefing:
I'm not sure if this one is feasible and might make the admins' jobs harder, but I found it really annoying how I couldn't sabotage anything from the other team. It's just food for thought, I don't have any specific ideas on how to improve it. I do want to note that teams shouldn't be able to barricade their base entrances. Some teams had a serious issue with that last CTF.
Make enderpearls a valuable resource:
I loved how valuable enderpearls became during CTF. They were incredibly hard to get, but worth it as a few well placed enderpearls could get you in and out of a base fast. Maybe disable endermen spawning and give pearls out for events/buffs, or hide chests all over the map?
Those are the point i want to say something to
First of the griefing part.
What i would like to see is actually a harder way to deal with it.
Last time we had a user using his alt account to get into another team. Only to destroy theirs farms, kill their animals and plunder their chests. He got banned for that, his alt account for the whole event and his main account for round about 30 minutes. His team had no problems at all the other team was completly cut off from ressources.
That should not happen again, imho if a user uses an alt account to switch teams and then to grief the other team, both accounts should be banned for the rest of the event.
Either you play fair or you dont play at all.
Now to the enderpearls
I dont like them, not because you can teleport around with em but because you dont take damage with a diamond armor. Ive seen it too many times on S, players pearling from one side of the map to another, and they were still alive. Those things are too powerful. Either we should up the damage for them again or we shouldnt allow them in the event.
Things i would like to see again while the ctf event is running.
A Pvp arena for little tournaments.
Prizes could be valuable materials or a buff for the team of the winner.
A spleef arena, but not one of those softy arenas we've seen so far.
I want a fricking THUNDERDOME !! 2 Men enter, One man leaves. (lets see who gets that reference without google)
If the Players want to help their teams they should be willing to sacrifice everything. (or buzzie)
Again as prizes we could use valuable ressources or equipment.
Okay okay not everything i want has to be deadly, so how about a treasure hunt ?
The fist tip the team will get for free, after that its all up to them. Of course if someone wants it to be a little bit more dangerously, we could always let it take place in a Trapmageddon of a maze. But we dont need to. (But it would really be a shame without traps, all those crushing walls lavapits and suddently appearing tnt-charges. Oh well guess you cant have everything)

Suggestion 2.Can we get a personal Blacklist ?Im asking because teddylover added me now for the fourth time to her friendlist (something i dont wan't, which is why i removed myself from it everytime) and i would like to block that because its getting really annoying.Thank you char.

For me the 'dont be a Dick' rule is a rule i dont enforce with banning the person. I just kick them saying them dont be a dick.
But the main question still stands in the room. What defines beeing a dick?
In my oppinion beeing a dick means that you know you are doing something, that isnt defined in the rules.
For example: If i set a player constantly on Fire on C, and he ask me to stop it, then i will stop it because if i keep on setting him on fire it would be a dickmove.
If a player is asked to leave a certain area because the other player wants to keep on building and he constantly gets in his way, and he keeps on doing it on purpose. Than he is a dick, and dicks get kicked.
If a player makes a big build and you are building just 1 block beside his build, that could also be a dickmove, because the map is big enough to give the builds some space in case the builder needs to expand.
So in short:
If you get asked to leave someone alone, dont be a dick, say ok and go somewhere else to hang around just not right beside him.

Your concerns are good, but as far as i know entering your birthdate into your Profile is optional.
So if you dont enter it you wont get a Highlight from the forum, honestly i dont think we need to worry about it too much, but still we should make sure the users understand that sharing too much information is never a good thing.
Also id actually like barlis idea of showing the consequentses of sharing too much information

As of now this entire end grinder ordeal is ridiculous and am here to say that.... well, you will regret even bringing this up. Ultra is the good side and I love that, please if anyone has any problems i would be glad if he can just take it and deal with, but when it gets to me (the other side of the coin *or force whichever you prefer*) I will slam my fist down and try to get it out of the way as soon as possible in order to save us the stress. but this is not how its going to go down. I am pissed that our town is bashed like this and I will be damned if it I am going to let this all just fly away. Now I (because erdt completely accused me of building an end grinder) I am goinng to go build yet another end grinder in the hopes the mods say... "well fuck this stress lets take the end down". So go ahead and keep bitching erdt because that gives me what I want and I really do want it so end grinders are not allowed on this server and I know at least one mod that would agree on account they are overpowered and uneeded. Have a lovely day irl or on the server :)
So you are saying because of the Drama from the first End grinder you want to build another End grinder just to cause more Drama ?
I think instead of us removing the End from the server we will just remove you then.

Well i dont think we need a rule that states Only 1 Endgrinder is allowed. Ppl just need to use Common sense.
If there is an End grinder up and running, we dont need a second one. Its that simple.
Also the End grinder should always be Pulic, because the End is a rather small part of the map with a limited amount of mobs.
Blocking a part of a small map of from the public is a pretty stupid idea because its always causing drama. We are P not S we have no need for private End grinders, because no one can kill you while you are grinding.

Ive been a mod on severeal websites/forums/browsergames since 2003 and so far as soon as the community got involved into the work of the mods it immidiadly brought bad blood with it.
Annoying users were singled out and as soon as someone saw a chance to get rid of one he tried it.
Troll accounts were created to annoy the rest of the community and bring up more bed blood etc
and the worst part the mods needet to explain every single action they took into the smallest detail (srty i have to mention it but it was alot like barneygale on his own subreddit)
Also i have to bring it up again and im sorry for it but the beheavior on S shows exactly this.
As soon as someone gets into any bad blood with someone else he will take every chance to get rid of him.
either by modreqing him after a combat log where the other one came back said he was sorry and let himself be killed.
or my favorite the hacking accusation out of nowhere just because someone was beaten in a fight.
or by trying to make the other one angry enough so he would use homophobic slurs
or simply by griefing him with an alt account
