It seems that going PG is the direction that Nerd is headed towards, and while it's a shame that people take things as petty as swearing seriously. It would improve thing to an extent, though I don't feel that it would be a permanent solution. If we did change policy to prevent swearing, then I feel that we would need to drop the affiliation with Reddit, which to be honest, we barely even have.

I always want to play games that I buy, but unfortunately a lot of them are single player games and it's not really all that fun to be alone in a corner meanwhile everyone else is off doing something. I'm sure there are plenty other that also have the same problem. What about starting a sub community of players that like to stream their gameplay, that way everyone can still kinda be a part of what it feels like to play in big groups. Not to mention if we spread out into places like twitch as a group more people will want in on the same thing, if not, they'll at least get a kick out of us being idiots amongst each other.

Josh, while that is a good idea, this thread is about moving nerd beyond Minecraft into other games and platforms.

The discussion was fine, but suddenly it became personal. Everything becomes personal, d3north merely commented on as to why the TTT group split and twilexis took it as a personal attack, there was no need for that. I personally, don't have a problem keeping things civil, I like to enjoy myself, even if it means posting stupid gifs and making joke on a forum thread. And seriously, stop with the use of the word 'drama' it's the go to word for anytime someone states their opinion. In what universe is removing every single post that you deem unneccessary, (which is your fucking opinion, by the way) EVEN IF, these stupid posts aren't neccessary when it gets to the point where players are having an all out war with each other, we can't even go back to our own posts to see what we said. I would love to contribute, I would love to help, but this attitude you take while moderating makes it really fucking hard to. Maybe a massive shitstorm is exactly what we need to help nerd move forward. But no, the staff is so goddamn concerned with maintaining a professional image and keeping things "civil" that they forget to actually take into account how the players are interacting with each other.
