  1. We need a pvp region (not sure where exactly that is to be added), an exit for people who fall to the bottom of the arena, a prize-area (not sure how to add this as the "last person standing wins") and prizes.

I was under the impression pvp was seperate from spleef but part of the arena. Maybe we make the bottom floor pvp and let the people who fall duke it out for additional prizes? Spleef will need to be moderated with a judge to push buttons so calling a "winner" shouldn't be too hard.

  2. I can try to pop on tonight if it's still needs work to finish it up.

Also. I thought I saw that hunger is turned off for mini games. Can someone confirm? If it is I'll take the "I'm hungry" signs out of the obstacle race as they will be unnecessary and look silly.

  5. thats what I'm thinking with the maze, similar to how the obstacle course works (warp back to the beginning of the minigame rather than spawn) I feel like for such a hellish maze I'll make the prizes worth while.

Also my handwriting is terrible. For a 30-year-old it should be much prettier :)

  6. If nobody else gets to it I can take a look at the maze tonight when I get home and do some work on signage and making it escapable. I think we'll just need some prizes, which also I can set up if anyone has suggestions. It's such an insane maze, the prizes will need to be super good :)

  7. As for the mini games mode, they'd need to be in survival mode, each mini game requires either pvp or the potential for environmental death to function.

I know in the obstacle race I have set up hunger and health signs periodically to counter the inventory wipes that happen. Not sure on the others.

  8. The obstacle race has prizes already too, so no need to worry about that. And as its a giant floating race island it's fairly easy to protect.

Barlimore it looks like mini games aren't moving from his previous post. I'd go ahead and set your warp signs.

  9. Maze now has an entry warp and inventory clear sign. I put an 'emergency exit' sign inside, since the point isn't to trap people :)

feel free to edit the outer building if you like. i took a copy of the walls from the end box and moved it to the front, your decision if you hate it or not. The only part of it that's important is the entry sign and enderchests, the building itself is irrelevant.

Edit: didn't check to see if the enderchests are reachable from inside. If it's still there when I'm on next I'll check it.

  10. If you don't mind, I would appreciate some help. If you could just make a room before the rules room that allows for the inventory wipe with an end chest or something to that effect please. I'll be on later today for sure.

Sure. I'll pop back on in a bit and make an entrance. Maybe I'll copy the end and flip it around so it fits the style :)

  11. Well after lots of consideration and testing, I cut the maze off at around 3/4 of the way pasted in, as I realized it could begin to take a little more than 2 hours for someone who's brand new to it and gets lost in some of my more devilish tricks that send you back to the start.  With that said I need one last sign (the yellow one) to be set to teleport the players on the other side of those invisible blocks into the prize room.  I have ABSOLUTELY no idea what to make for a prize or if it should be some kind of magical repeating prize encase someone spends 2 hours on it to find no prize?  Someone above my paygrade please help out with that.

I also need a way to clear players inventories as they walk through the front entrance, unless that will already happen when they get to the maze?

If anyone would mind giving it a dry run too? To test for bugs, that would be appreciated!  /home CROCKODUCK should take you to the maze or [-15, 184, 115] last digit is the elevation, thanks again everyone!

i set your last sign to warp them into the prize room (coords -36 116 349)

as for your inventory-wipe you could do the same thing entering the maze - have an entry building where they have to "CLICK TO ENTER" which TP's them in and wipes their inventory. i can help with that if you want, just let me know.

  12. You can use easy-sign to clear inventories (/easy-sign ci) if it's not something that they can do region wise. Just give them a "punch to enter" sign that tps and wipes or something). You can also use it to either give multiple prizes or just one (give vs inventory)

Other useful ones (if you don't have them scattered or as part of the region) may be /easy-sign hunger and /easy-sign health

Go check out the prize box for the obstacle race. I'll try to be online tonight too if you don't have it sorted by then. I got pretty familiar with easy sign over the last week :)

  13. I don't believe anyone has the intention for this to *ever* become a pay-to-win server. At this point we are just looking for feedback on ways to potentially raise more funds in a timely manner to make sure that the people who want to play are able to.

I understand all of the concernes voiced by those who feel they have some disagreement with staff, however I would like to point out: if we do not have some sort of solution there will no longer be any conflict as there may not be a server.

This is an opportunity to come up with ways to fund the server that are sustainable. Any idea at this point is a valid one, like a brain storming session

(Edit: I am not trying to dismiss anyone's opinion, just redirect the conversation to the original point - how do we fund the server)

  14. lol nevermind, i got the buff tower.

So the obstacle race is now un-cheatable. You can't spam the prize signs, easy-sign is my friend. it does "announce" "inventory" "warp" so you can't collect more than once.

100% done. please give me something else to do so i don't keep fiddling with it.

  15. If the obstacle race needs to mov just let me know. There are only three warp signs I can easily redo. I'd also want to test the redstone after it moves to make sure it doesn't go wonky.

I'll be on tonight (probably after 7pm eastern) and can continue helping with whatever.

  16. I have made a start on KOTH: Not promising anything magnificent so please edit as anyone desires.

How you can help: I would like someone to add interior walls to completely remove the feel of being inside a grass and dirt hill. If you are good at designing walls with a good pattern with some pretty lights to keep the place lit up, please make a start! You do not have to adhere to the shape that the outer grass / dirt walls have made. (please leave the ceiling and floor for now)

I can come help with walls. I'm terrible with Parkour, but i can do patterns and lights!
