Blockbuster's NERDPack Technic Modpack - Survival Edition

for PvE and wanted to make one similar for S since i am going to start playing on it but wanted to know what mods were and were not allowed before i did and what the community would want in it.

 

 

HOW TO INSTALL

1. Go to http://www.technicpack.net/download and click on the appropriate version for you (Windows, OSX, LINUX)
2. Install TechnicLauncer and Run it
3. Enter your username and password
4. Click on MODPACKS
5. Copy and paste this address in the "Add Pack or Search" bar and then click INSTALL

6. It will then Download and Install the Modpack, once that is done click PLAY
7. Minecraft will load along with the mods and then you are good to go

I found that ingameinfomxml, journeymap fairplay edition, optifine, schematica, playerAPI + togglesneak (the one from the hcfactions subreddit) were pretty handy for playing on S.

 

as a moderator, I also used watson and worldeditCUI. I still use watson for the highlighting feature so i can see when my name is mentioned in chat if I'm not paying close attention. With watson installed if i recall correctly it can conflict with one of the keybinds for togglesneak on the default settings, so if that's still an issue it probably needs tweaking.

 

previously i used status effect HUD and armorstatusHUD, but the features from those are now performed by ingameinfoxml. The one change from default I would recommend for ingameinfoxml is to move the player's name from the top center to somewhere else, since it gets in the way of the text from a wither or dragon health bar, which is sometimes used to convey information to players on some servers.

 

edit: notenoughitems is handy for looking up recipes in-game, but its one of those things you don't use that often in vanilla - just for rarely used things like tripwire hooks.

 

edit2: if there are other mods that anyone knows about that would be good to permit on S. i encourage you to mention them here and to post about it in the survival suggestion thread or the uservoice page that few people ever visit because it's off on another site, or message a few of the sadmins.

http://api.technicpack.net/modpack/blockbusters-snerdpack Is the API for it ... ill update the description in a few minutes after i verify it is working.

 

I need the downloads to toggle sneak and other mods that are not listed at the top but should be in this pack.

 

I tested it and it is currently working.
