  1. Who? The most I've heard is Randomdoor saying he was gonna "wreck the rev", but that was an obvious metaphor meaning that he was gonna enjoy it completely and thoroughly. Other than that, I've only seen comments from players stating that they will play the game the way it is designed to be played.

    ;D

He did clarify this in his appeal almost two years ago. Other than that I haven't heard any rumors; there were also rumors that 4chan was going to destroy the pve server. Nothing happened, and if I were you I wouldn't be so worried over rumors.

  2. So what you're saying Totemo is that it needs numbers to exist just so it can continue to exist? Doesn't matter what it offers, as long as people donate to suppliment it's existence..

    That is a disgusting view.

If the server was out to make money, then sure. Fill your boots. Do whatever.

How long have you been around again? This server lives off of generous donations, and the admins aren't trying to get anyone's money. That's one of our core ideas here, that it's a free and fun experience for everyone.

Also, yes, we need numbers to thrive also. I'd rather not use the term exist because it's a bit of a strong word there.

And yes, it matters what the servers offer. Had you not made your forum account this week, you may know that we have had meetings and mumble discussions to make improvements on survival.

While I personally do not see all of these changes as for the better, the admins really are trying here and have done a great job putting the word out there, what with that new fangled survival log.

  3. Okay, it’s time I come clean. You’ve all guess it anyway.

Redwall and I are dating. We’ve been dating for a few weeks now.

I guess we first started falling in love at the beginning of this rev. It started over our mutual interest in bdsm. Before you ask, I’m the sub.

He’s moving to Australia soon, then we’re travelling to Tasmania to train under eehee to learn the fine arts of PVP and butterknife assassination.

That’s why I laugh so much when people say I have redwall wrapped around my finger, because in reality it’s the other way around, and I love every second of it.

    What. The. Fuck.

  4. As for TNT, for now we have no plans to enable either working or decorative TNT. We've seen on creative and survival revs that sometimes players will rig their builds to blow up upon map download. Yes there are ways for players to avoid this, but we'd like players to open up past rev maps without the worry of builds blowing up and the client issues that would come along with that.

What's wrong with that? Once they download he map it's theirs to do whatever they want with it right?

Edit: Nevermind I just got it

  5. It involves policy changes and can't just be thrown into a thread about adding decorative blocks...

Adding TNT as decorative is also possible, I think I said that. Also you wrote block not block. I do think the double slab block is a good idea, but the thread isn't just about that.

  6. Right, but I think the point that he's making is that I could very easily just lead creepers to AFK people. This is a case of possibly allowing a block that could be used improperly (and the player banned for it), but also has many proper uses. I'd advocate for trusting your users. If someone uses this improperly, then that person would probably get banned for doing something else anyway.

yeah that's was what I was getting at, because creepers can function in similar ways as TnT. If we trust players with lava and flint and steel, then TnT should at least allowed to be placed as a decorative block.

Creeper eggs have never been given out during non-chaos events on P. The only time a player got a hold of creeper eggs was by stealing them from a dispenser someone forgot to lock in a PvE arena a year or two ago. The player was later banned for killing players with the eggs, like you mentioned. They weren't willingly given out.

oh sorry, could have sworn there was some point where I was able to get them. :/

Jllm, griefing is not the only reason TNT is banned on PvE. TNT can also be used to slay large numbers of players, which is an absolute violation of the no-PvP nature of PvE.

In the same way, creeper eggs do that too, yet we've had those available during some events. People have been banned for using those improperly. The only difference between creeper eggs and TnT is that creeper eggs, when placed, will cause the creepers to explode almost instantly.

  9. I was under the impression that the thread was titled "allow new blockS on pve for next revision". So far only 1 block was brought up. And smooth stone slabs are not new to minecraft.

What I suggested would essentially only render tnt a decorative block. But whatever, it's your thread, so I'll drop it.

Looks like I fucked up again. Let's talk about smooth stone pls

  10. Jill pls, Poe's law is in play here.

And I agree with Rokku and totemo. Just because we're introducing this non-vanilla block doesn't mean it should have a steep price. This is stone after all. Making the price too high would be a disservice to those of us who build more aesthetically.

Call me uncultured, but I don't think I'm familiar with poe's law. Pls

  11. The problems with this is it can have impact on the server performance (I.E: lots of TNT explodes at once) so for now I am just sticking to requesting decoration blocks be added in this thread.

Yeah it's just an idea, but large amounts of tnt would only be used to blow up land, which hypothetically would not be possible on PvE. Just to esplode some monsters or cows wouldn't be so bad, I think

  12. Good idea. Also, I was thinking about adding tnt (pls read the rest) to PvE, or at the least, TnT minecarts? They have more uses than just griefing, and since creepers don't do any damage I don't know why we aren't allowd to place it in the first place. I like to use it on singleplayer to 'splode large amounts of mobs in one area, or at (for example) an enderman farm, to speed up the xp gain and reduce clicking.

*I am actually complaining for being down voted but i think this shows how the downvotes / upvotes work on here.

Correct. Players have the option of choosing "upvote" or "downvote", indicated by the different color arrows. Red is usually associated as negative, likewise it is the "downvote" option. Vice versa for "upvote".

  14. That is not right at all. Players are already getting punished for their actions in game by the ban.

I mean to be fair, they get banned because they break the rules. I don't know if like we could allow players to make a temporary forum account if they only come to get unbanned or something. If players really feel shamed about appealing I guess they could do that privately, but you seem to be more mad about getting banned than anything else, even though you showed no shame in doing so in your appeal.

"In all honesty I wouldn't care to be banned or unbanned. It was fun for the couple days i got to play and say hi to old friends while trying to make players mad (which worked I guess? lol)"

  15. Ok, sorry about the confusion- my fault.   I've removed the ban.

Sorry about the trouble-  the original block placements were out of logblock and all I could see were your breaks.

Nah don't worry about it. Happy to see you on the moderating team again, welcome back!
