  1. It'd be too difficult to determine if fall damage was from being caught in a fall loop or if it were actual fall damage from, say, pearling or just having low health. Best thing would be to recommend that the player install a map mod that does last death waypoints, and suggest they don't die on their way to collecting their stuff.

  2. You know what you guys need? Nerd.nu gold. People can subscribe every month and get access to "special" blocks like diamond and emerald, the 3 different varieties of stone, and the ability to enchant. Then whenever the server has lag you can swear blind that it'll go away if just a few more people donate. You can have nice little flow charts, pie graphs, projections and all sorts of cool stuff like that.

That way, when people whinge about the lag you can just tell them that if they're not paying then they're part of the problem.

    No.

  3. I understand why you haven't implemented this so far, with you wanting us to figure out how the zodiac portals work. I honestly love them, it gives us a reason to explore other cities.

We already have this website made by runereader to show what portals are up, could we have an ingame command as well?

Something like /zodiac that when ran shows which portals are open and how long until the next restart. ie, "Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn. 25 minutes remaining".

I think this feature would benefit players, because they wouldn't have to tab out to view a third party website and risk 'splosions via Gerstein's cousins.

  4. An easy solution might be to base protections on number of players active in a build. For example, 50 square meters per person seems acceptable to me; in which case, if a town has 5 residents, said town could have 250 square meters of undeveloped land protected.

    What stood out the most for me is this. What about the people who;

    1. Are part of multiple towns

    2. Bring alts on solely to land grab

    3. Use compromised accounts to land grab

Also, what happens when someone goes inactive? Does the land they accumulated for the town become suddenly unprotected?

I also see ruthless recruitment for land eventually happening, too. This isn't the best idea for the culture of P, where it's based on communication and collaboration, not dog eat dog.

  5. Could we bring back Padmin dopples/trade signs for sponge? This rev we've seen people rushing to the guardian temples to clear them out and get the sponges and then proceed to hoard them because they're so rare and don't want to lose them. They're so useful to build underwater, and some people (redwall) like building with them.

If you want to add in other items you could also add on horse armour as well, seeing as they're a finite resource as well, and not everyone wants to cave for horse armour.

Could we also do what C does for regions and set the greeting/farewell flags on worldguard for certain regions? A "Welcome to [city]!", or something specific for a certain build (imagine the Cave of Wonders from Aladdin with "WHO DISTURBS MY SLUMBER" as you enter the mouth, for example)

  6. If all the content that went onto the main sub was redirected to offtopic or circlejerk then the subreddit'd be dead too. I agree with closing them down. We're branching out into a wider gaming community, so off topic isn't really relevant anymore. It's sole purpose was for people within the community to post stuff that wasn't minecraft related. Obviously there's still submission rules on the main subreddit, but the three should be consolidated.

  7. Personal opinion but I don't like the idea of creative being a test world for s and p. I know it attracts some players but it's kind of like the server we like a lot being used as a tool instead of a legitimate server. I know this might be irrational however it's just a personal opinion.

Most of the bigger cities have their own planning servers, so the traffic wouldn't be that bad.
