I personally feel that the community is going in a bit of a bumpy pattern at the moment. One week we're productive and we're getting shit done, the next there's a huge debate or argument about something. I'd say it feels like 2 steps forward, 1 step back.
I don't think anyone can really give a fully educated answer about where exactly nerd is going because there's so much conflict to every good decision we make. A vote can't hurt, as long as people actually think through what they're going to answer with.

But other than that, i can side with the current popular vote. Except Xp plump doesn't need to be x15, thats a bit ridiculous .
Yeah, I don't think people are remembering that a large XP plump really dulls the gameplay as there's no difficulty in getting enchants at all. X15 or something similar is fun for a while, but gets old once Diamond Armour is brought out.

Perhaps a region disabling/enforcing these specific things could be made over the town and extended by a /modreq from anyone inside said town. Obviously there are some things that'd be extremely difficult to enforce, though, such as the no-direct-mobkilling thing.

Yeah, considering nearly all of us are familiar with the reddit text formatting, this'd be a nice little join between our servers and reddit in general.

Anniversaries are important and can be a cause of joy. But sometimes being forgotten, especially if you're busy or never do anything too special on them. Do not forget your anniversary this year. Get a personal loan and purchase your spouse that large present they have wanted for so long. They probably deserve it, and when you have ever forgotten an anniversary in the past, you most likely have to make up for it.
Do I need to be a single mother working at home with 2 children earning $8/per hour?

Staff shouldn't be able to close threads because they're offended by the content, that's not how being part of a community works.
I think the staff need to lighten up in general, because over the past half-a-year there's been a load of tension between players and staff - a lot of it comes from the strict enforcing of rules on the server.
Lenient staff is not something we have at the moment, and that really needs to change in order to lighten up the atmosphere. Banning players for tiny little things that can simply be reversed is a waste of time for everyone, and does nothing but piss people off. Things that don't affect anyone in any shape or form are being seen as serious incidents, which is ridiculous - we're playing a game.-

Edit: It should be obvious, nerd.nu doesn't have a place for Factions. Survival is a pretty unique kind of server that many people play to get away from the normal Economy Factions etc type of servers. There's nothing new we'd have to offer if we became that type of server like dozens if not hundreds of other servers have.

I would hope you're a bit smarter than that but who knows. Like diff said it matters who and what the poll is about, but headadmins added their input and said since we already had a poll that was a tie, they are adding a new one to test the waters again so to speak. Should the community not be trusted with making polls that can influence something nickeox?
Let me repeat what has already been said - staff votes are guaranteed to be taken under solid consideration as opposed to player votes; player votes need to gain enough attention and constructive discussion to be considered, and even then a result is not guaranteed.

I don't think it was necessary and honestly it's simply childish for people to change a policy about the servers to stop them from getting downvoted. I don't see what positives the new system is going to bring.
People are saying "you should have to point out why you disagree with x post" - nah, I don't think anyone here has the energy or the time to write up an essay in response to every single thing we disagree with. I'm sorry, but this was an absurd policy change sparked by certain players getting flared up about getting downvoted, and I don't support it. -

I've heard the username before and I've seen him online in the background on PvE, but nothing ever made him very noticeable.

I guarantee you I am doing 10000000x more to improve these servers than you are.
That's quite a hefty guarantee. Are you sure you want to make such promises?
I'm kidding.
But seriously, staff are here to ban people, enforce policies and the like - the community as a whole improves the servers, not one single person or a small group of people.

I'm speaking directly only for myself, please don't lump all admins together, I don't think the players like when it happens to them.
Considering Mrloud15 is the one who closed the thread in question and you're the one defending yourself in a thread about that, you're in turn defending Mrloud15.
We also don't mean the entirety of the admin team, but it's much more easygoing to say that when the admins in question are implied rather than directly pointing out usernames, yeah?
