  1. A few of us have time and time again asked for activity on the official Steam group but the staff have never actually done anything of note on there apart from recently removing some inactive staff and adding active moderators. Hell, there's even an alternate Steam group which is run mainly by d3north, TheFlyingTuna, buzzie71 and myself but we haven't done any events of note either. A lot of people would be more attracted to an event on the official Steam group because shiny terms like "staff-run" tend to draw in a lot more people. I'm not really sure what we were trying to accomplish by adding more staff to the official group, obviously it's had a very little effect on the actual matter at hand and I for one would like to see an event pop up sometime in the nearish future.

  2. I really don't know why this feature had to go away. If someone actually felt like they were being stalked, they could simply remove the "show recent visitors" on their profile - frankly that wouldn't do shit anyway, and nor would removing it from literally everyone's profile. Really confused, please explain.

  3. I personally don't think a merge is needed. This Survival revision is actually what people have been asking for for ages, but everyone had pre-determined that it would be shit, that includes myself.
Because of that, the playercount is one of the lowest we've had before, on par with the revision before the previous one.
I think people should come on and check stuff out, it's brought forward a few changes that I quite like. There aren't any major fuckups on the staff's part, just the players, because we haven't actually given this revision a chance to flourish, at all - as much as I doubted I'd ever say that.
Give this revision a go, because the staff paid attention to what we said, especially with the PvP changes.

  4. I wholeheartedly agree with what GizzleTinks is saying. Survival is not meant to be a welcoming server - you're supposed to jump in and fight for your gear, your base, whatever it may be that you've spent the most time on. I think a great way to reflect on how Survival should be is to refer to DayZ. It's supposed to be hostile, that's how it's played. We have PvE for building mini-communities, and Creative for straight up building, but the competitive sense is home to Survival.
As Gizzle said, there was a lot of hostility and rivalry between the core Survival playerbase and the CivCraft players, who jumped on and treated everyone like sacks of shit. Within the first day our clans had basically formed to make a huge raiding party, and the actual fights and raids themselves were some of the best experiences many of us have had on the Survival server. Despite the whole matter of literally everything on the map being xray-raided to shit shortly after we finished our own raids, we had a pretty damn great time and I think nearly all of us really want a tense experience like that to come around again.

  5. I don't know what you're trying to say. If it helps, look up Eehee on P and C in the last 7 days here http://nerd.nu/logs/. Activity.

Mm, I've been popping on every so-often, but not too much at all. I think what I forgot to phrase in my post was that I'm done with contributing to nerd, but for the few times I'm active I will be trying to enjoy myself and nothing less.

  6. I'm interested in the idea of having a non-mc admin to take care of stuff like the steam group, but I feel that a proper discussion is needed before we go down that road which could take a little bit.

Is there any news about that happening, or would it be possible otherwise to squeeze a discussion of it into a General Meeting?

  7. Why do you keep screaming "slag" at me from across the street at 5AM each Tuesday morning?

Imagine this scenario: you are a crack-whore with exactly $3.50 to your name, and you live in your parents basement.
    You are given two options:
A: Steal a fedora from the gentlesir across the street whilst screaming "slag" at me from across the street,

    OR
B: Kidnap a helpless elder and tip ebola on their head, calling it the "ISIS bucket challenge".
    What would you do?

  8. I disagree. Everyone has to deal with glitches, it's a part of minecraft and if we have to refund everything for something that's completely out of our control then it'll all get a lot more complicated and confusing.

In the instance that Rokku presented, he died directly due to the moderators intervention. He probably would have died regardless unless someone came to dig him out, but the moderator got involved and due to the teleport out he died. I don't think we should be refunding anything either in the sense that we spawn in items, but teleporting the player back to their original location does no harm and gives no unfair advantage to that player.

I wouldn't say it's a part of Minecraft, it's completely unintentional and creates issues that wouldn't exist otherwise.

I agree with what you've said in your second paragraph though.
