  1. If the quality assurance is judged by him it is hostage. This is why escrow exists.

Ah, so because you dislike/disagree with a person, their way of doing things in relation to a topic that you've done very little to contribute to is instantly incorrect/devoid of relevance regardless of whether you've seen any end result? Truly, you have enlightened me with the error of d3north's ways.

Feel free to stop adding in little shitcakes of drama and whatnot, all you've done in this thread is jab a bit at people that you disagree with. Perhaps focusing on the topic at hand in an attempt to get something going would be a smart move, no?

  2. Should pyr0's suggestion above be acted upon (remove d3's Steam group) it would be a fair fallback to then add d3north to the 'official' Steam group as a Moderator, or perhaps another level of staff within that Steam group.
Not to sound aggressive or anything, but claiming you're willing to have players that aren't staff moderate the Steam group is completely pointless if you won't give the slightest level of authority to the player that actually kicked this entire Steam thing off.

  3. This here to me sounds like a hostage thing. "Once I have received blah, then I will hand it over."

No, d3north is doing something I'd like to call "quality assurance". He isn't about to hand over the new group to the admins if he has a reason to believe it'll flop like the other official group - which, to clarify; it did.

(You can argue with me about that, if you want, I'm happy to discuss it.)

Being informed on exactly what is happening with the Steam group(s) is something that the players need in order to know whether said Steam group(s) are just going to fall flat on their face - we have more reason to believe that nothing will happen with the new groups, because in all honesty nothing in particular with the other Steam groups.

"Eehee we've had a few TTT events that've stretched on for quite a while, and we've even added a whole bunch of new staff."

Adding new staff doesn't get much done - we've seen this happen with the SAdmin crisis of Survival and it's happening to a lesser degree with the 'official' Steam group.

I deeply appreciate that there was a poll asking about what games we should play, and I believe there are still a couple of ongoing threads discussing that - but that doesn't give us any solid reason to believe something will be put into action with the group d3north created.

We've waited a pretty damn long time to see something get done, and whilst we know something is getting done, I personally disagree with the idea that d3north should hand over the new group as soon as he's asked.

Besides, there's no drama needed for this particular topic anyway. Most of the people on the current official Steam group probably don't care to migrate to a new group - realistically URL's on our other services leading to the current 'official' Steam group coupled with perhaps a short explanation of the innacurate name in the description could fix this entire debacle we're having.

  4. We rename what we can rename, we redirect what we can redirect. Please could you add some replace yourself with Nerd staff to your group to give it legitimacy.

Bit rude to ask someone to immediately step away from something they started, friend.

  5. As TornadoHorse pointed out above, revisions only seem to start when there's a bit of a struggle from the players to actually hear what's going on with Survival - sticking to a smoother timeframe for revisions is something you really need to do if you want the community to approve of Survival a lot more.

I'm not sure I understand this, let me guess. You're saying that because you and your fellow players have offered to help the sadmins in their sadmin duties without being allowed to, the sadmins don't deserve to continue in their role?

No, he's saying that the support given by the community to the admins kind-of overshadows their own efforts - really, the players seem to have put in a lot more effort than the admins have, whether that's from a 'biased' standpoint or not.

  6. I think its mostly because your attitude is poor and people with decision making authority automatically want to ignore your posts, or are disinclined to even engage with you because of your attitude. I apologize- I thought you wanted discussion.

Oh, I've always had a poor attitude now? If people are afraid of discussing matters with me it's likely because they either disagree with literally everything I say or they've never actually bothered to speak with me in the first place.

No need for apology either, we got some really top notch discussion going on in here, with "bump" being mentioned here and there. Hey, if you want to respond with a tone similar to mine, please consider first looking into the reasons I actually made that post.

  7. More the overall tone of the reply.

You broke the rules in game, so your account was banned. Before that ban was up you broke the rules on the forums, and your forum account was banned. Breaking the rules on the forums shows that you don't intend to follow the rules in game, so the ban was extended.

In what way does breaking the forum rules show that I don't intend to follow the rules ingame?

Going by your own logic, wouldn't being banned on the forums also show that I don't intend to follow the rules on Mumble? Why wasn't I banned on there?

  8. I don't think there needs to be a big debate over this. The reason shit takes so long to get anywhere in this broken-down place is because someone always has something to fucking complain about, there's always some possibility of something going wrong, and so on.
We're asking for the filesize limitations to be larger on a voice communication service. Please.
I started this thread nearly 3 fucking weeks ago and we're nowhere near an answer - why?

  9. So you went from being civil to being rude with the edit?

I'm not sure how many times I can say something, but I will give it another go. The banning admin knew of your alt, but they banned the account that broke the rules like we have always done. If you are going to having more than one account, it's your responsibility to know what's going on with them. If you can do that, I would suggest only using one.

If you consider a single swearword in an overall more coherent edit 'rude', I'm confused.

Anyway, I still don't understand keeping me banned ingame for my forum activities. I should've had my ban on the forums, which was given, but there was absolutely no reason to extend my ingame ban.

Let's say I give you the leisure of understanding banning my forum accounts and being punished for evading - but my evading was on the FORUMS.

  10. Well, the initial topic I started with my alt account was obviously my spin on shoob0x's earlier post which was removed.

That being said I was clearly listing 'toxic' people in my post and someone reccomended I put myself on the list. Obviously MasterAzuk isn't known as a toxic player as a lot of people didn't even know of that account until cough it was doxxed. So, listing EeHee2000 - in my mind - was a terrific idea and I believe it was a brilliant life choice to this day.

Regardless, my unban date has already passed, so I'd ask for two things:

    1) Your reasoning behind keeping me banned ingame for something I did on the forums. I don't give a shit who did the ban, if they were unaware of my forum/ingame alts then there was a lack of communication on your end, which is frankly not something I ought to be punished for.

    2) M'unban.

    Cheers.

Also, as you've replied to the unedited/original version of my above post, here's the updated version even though it was updated before you replied.

  11. You ban was done about as properly as a ban can be done. You clearly violated the policy I listed above and you received the posted consequence for said action which was a warning. You then violated the same policy after the warning so your account was banned just as policy stated it would be. The was no issue in communication between staff.

You haven't actually answered my question.

I want to know why I was banned ingame for something I did on the forums.

  13. Whilst I agree with Narissis in general in his above post, it's important to note that not all staff are able to vote properly. For example, a past admin once voted 'no' on literally everyone that wasn't from their 'home' server despite there being an "I don't know this player well enough" option - however for the most part the current voting round seems to be in order.
