kitcatbar Posted October 23, 2013 Report Share Posted October 23, 2013 TheRandomnatrix’s suggestion of a 1.7 server icon contest has been getting positive feedback both in that thread and during P’s mumble meeting last night. The idea is to have a contest allowing the community to make icon sets for the servers that could then be voted on. So, I was hoping all the admins could agree on having the contest, with these guidelines: Submissions must include icons for all 4 servers (Creative, PvE, Survival, and little ol’ Event) The image must be 64x64 pixels (Mojang’s choosing, not ours) While we seek unique icons for each server, submission sets with a cohesive look are preferable Icons must follow chat rules and contain no NSFW images These guidelines can be changed, I figured we just needed to start somewhere. If everyone approves, a post should probably go up soon telling people of the contest to give them plenty of time to work on their icons. Not sure if it would be best if Random made the post since it's his idea, or for a head since this covers all the servers, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
