Suggestion: enchanted iron nuggets should craft up into (useless) similarly shiny nuggets and iron blocks you can put on display in item frames

Our Response: Thank you for your suggestion but we will not be looking to implement this change as it could easily end up with people accidentally crafting their valuable nuggets into something worthless. It is possible to display the current nuggets in an item frame is you so desire, just /modreq for protection over the frames so that the nuggets on display cannot be stolen!

Suggestion: dark psiamarine crafting recipe could be 1 prismarine block and 1 ink sac? right now it is 8 shards and 1 ink sac

Our Response: We do not feel that there is any valid reason to change the vanilla recipe here. With one of the squid spawners recently found and guardian grinders developing, we imagine there will be an accessible way to craft these blocks in no time!
 

Suggestion: can we have access to /signtext as users pretty please. It would help making station labeling much easier.

Our Response: We have put in a request with our tech admin team on this suggestion. Provided this is technically feasible then we will follow-up with a changelog update.
 

Suggestion: Plugin request for QoL change. "Simple Sort" type /sort while looking at a chest to sort it

Our Response: We don't wish to include a plugin for this as there are approved mods that will do this for you currently! Try Inventory Tweaks from this list.

Suggestion: PvE awards are mostly a popularity shitshow right now. Please consider making it more fair? Such as; people cannot nominate any builds that they are affiliated with, or helped build. Also give people incentives to vote and nominate.

Our Response: While the PvE awards are no longer run from Cujo within our team, we have made sure to pass this feedback directly onto her.

 

Suggestion: I actually had a difficult time finding the command to use this as well; I found out the command on the CREATIVE POST. Please include instructions in the top posts of "Revision XX Suggestionbox Responses" threads on the forums, it helps.

Our Response: We do have the /suggestion-box command in the alert rotation and information guide but updating the top post of this topic is a good call, we've made this edit.

 

Suggestion: it should play a sound and/or fireworks when a soul drops

Our Response: We're going to direct your suggestion towards our response on a similar request here (this is a planned feature).

Suggestion: public hopper at spawn to catch spare items falling into End exit portal

Our Response: Thank you for your feedback, we'll look to implement a safety net as you've described, at spawn! Once this is implemented, we'll edit this suggestion with a url to the changelog update & subreddit post.

Suggestion: Is there a way to adjust the rail plugin so that carts don't run away anymore? It's nearly impossible to catch a runway cart presently.

Suggestion: Separate settlements from grinders in the /place listing; similar to how portals are separated

Our Response: This is not something that we can currently do due to technical limitations, however, we'd very much like to be able to do this. We have put in a request with the tech admins to make this available to us in future. We'll make sure to update all of the existing places into categories in due time when this expanded feature is available.

 

Suggestions: The "Build Protection Tutorial" and "Land Claim Tutorial" literally are not explained here in spawn; why even have them if you aren't adding words to it? Also you are missing a fundamental component of a land claim on the 'tutorial'; signs.

SCRATCH THAT LAST MESSAGE. A resource pack was messing with signs, my apologies.

Our Response: Apology accepted - we all make mistakes, thank you for initially raising this as something for us to look into! We wanted to bring these suggestions forward primarily to draw the wider attention towards the tutorials at spawn. These are located at the bottom level of the spawn point, directly underneath the nether portal!

 

Suggestion: easyrider code to make it so the burn time remaining on a flaming horse doesn't stop when you get off

Our Response: Given that one simple mistake from fall damage to a burning horse can brutally punish tens of hours of horse training or more with no way of recovering the horse, we do not wish to pursue this option.

 

Suggestion: splash water bottles convert concrete in a radius

Our Response: We feel that this change does have some logical sense to it but we're going to encourage this suggestion is directed at Mojang instead, for them to consider for the vanilla game experience.

 

Suggestion: admin doppelganger summoning should only be doable in an otherwise uneditable arena at spawn to prevent cheating and increase the difficulty of iron golem spawners

Our Response: While it may be too early this revision to revise the experience as many have already been able to obtain the padmin skulls the hard way (this would then punish those who were not obtaining them quickly enough, typically individuals), we like the idea and will consider this in future. At the very least, we might also try to use the doppelgangers for events too.

 

Suggestion: In the lobby, enable pvp, so that we can have slapsies while we wait for the server to come back up

Thank you for your suggestion! At this time we are going to keep the lobby as-is without pvp as it would require significant modification of the build and doesn't really mesh with the intent of the lobby. If you wish to participate in 'slapsies' you're welcome to make an arena on creative to use during the pve downtime

Our Response: We do not feel this is the correct avenue for raising concerns, please follow the appropriate channels such as contacting staff via modreq, pm or at the very least utilise the /ignore feature if chat is disturbing you.

Our Response: Thank you for your feedback on the essence of flight drops. Given that hundreds have already been obtained through this method in the current revision, we'll keep this feedback in consideration going into revision 22. We invite you to participate in some of our upcoming feedback via a P survey and in future from our mid-rev feedback topic.

Suggestion: make spectral arrows do zero damage to players and an exception from "no PVP" rule

Our Response: We appreciate this suggestion but we don't currently feel that this would be a good use of tech admin time. If a more widespread demand for this feature matures then we will look to reconsidering our decision from today.

Suggestion: chest at spawn should probably not be public because right now anyone can take the drops not just the person that worked for it

Our Response: We're going to be keeping this chest public and instead encouraging that the exit portal is covered with a block such as dirt while engaging in the dragon fight. If we made this chest private, individuals parked or logging in at the spawn point would still acquire these dragon heads before the hoppers pull them in.

 

Suggestion: special item with boosted chance of golem soul drops

Our Response: This is a feature that is already in the works (allowing the fortune enchant to work with these drops).

 

Suggestion: next rev lower the level of the ocean 10 blocks a month

Our Response: We think this is a really fun idea but incredibly impractical to do from a technical perspective and for people who are settling in or alongside water. We would end up with floating ships, people unhappy that their coastal settlement is no longer bordering the coast and a potentially very laggy experience while water levels recede (assuming only oceans/rivers/lakes and ponds could be targeted).

 

Suggestion: pls remove nitwits they're a waste of resources.

Our Response: Nitwits are a part of the breeding experience and wouldn't be in the spirit of our semi-vanilla gameplay. Fortunately, these villagers are easy enough to cull! For these reasons, they are going to be sticking around.

 

Suggestion: TrainCarts is awesome! However, creating trains of chest carts and hopper carts doesn't really work because they are super slow. Can they be sped up?

Our Response: We're glad you're enjoying TrainCarts! We've passed on this suggestion to our tech admins to investigate. If possible, we'll follow up with an update in the changelog in future, alongside a link to that changelog post from this suggestion too.

Suggestion: i think the ender dragon should be a little bit harder to fight. it is kinda easy right now, because we all have diamond armor and good swords and bows

Our Response: We share this sentiment and feel that it would make for a more interesting fight if in future we could look to change this. We'll look to solicit wider feedback on how this idea could be fleshed out in future.

Suggestion: Please have the livemap nether rendered as overworld instead of nether for better viewability as in this picture by pez

Our Response: We think this is a great idea and have made the request for the nether livemap to be rendered again.

Suggestion: weird custom items from additional mob-on-mob kills (like skeleton+creeper=music)

Our Response: We could possibly look into this for some special events but are not seeing a great demand to do this currently.


Suggestion: custom recipes for combining the knight quest potion ingredients - I think one's a dragon breath and one's a heal potion?

Our Response: While we're not going to pursue this for the current revision, we'll consider this for events in the following revision.


Suggestion: More biomes where it snows instead of rains at sea level please (tundra, etc)

Our Response: We will fiddle around with biome temperatures for the rev 22 map and aim to provide more of these biomes. Ultimately we will have a topic available in future asking for your feedback on the rev 22 map.


Suggestion: Ender livemap?

Our Response: We don't feel that enough people visit the end, beyond the exit portal island to warrant a livemap for it. At this avenue, we'd recommend using a minimap mod to save the layout.

Suggestion: have an ender chest at exits of spawn area (th big area) or at least spots to put down a shulker

Our Response: We already have ender chests added to spawn, we've just added two more to the Southern exit of the spawn building as shown here, so we're just going to be drawing your attention to their location!

Suggestion: Please have a recipes to turn diorite into cobble/stone

Our Response: We do not see a need for additional recipes to be created for cobblestone or stone as those are a vastly abundant resource.

 

Following up from a former suggestionbox suggestion:

Our Original Response: We're glad you're enjoying TrainCarts! We've passed on this suggestion to our tech admins to investigate. If possible, we'll follow up with an update in the changelog in future, alongside a link to that changelog post from this suggestion too.

Update: We're not going to be deploying any changes here as we've discovered that this issue can be solved by putting a powered furnace cart ahead of your chest/hopper train.

Suggestion: item frames default to not letting the owner rotate them, this should be the OPPOSITE of the case. It's entirely counter to vanilla behavior and adds work in 99% of use cases. It's also entirely counter to LWC, which lets you into your shit

Our Response: Whilst we understand the viewpoint, for now, we're not looking to change this default. Generally speaking, we expect the vast majority of item frames to be placed with the intention of not rotating. This is something we can revisit at a later date if the wider sentiment seems to indicate this suggestion would be preferable.

Suggestion: Please consider increasing the guardian spawn cap :disappointed:

Our Response: We have looked into this with the tech admins and sadly guardian spawning limits cannot be manipulated without increasing all hostile spawning limits. This means that if we did increase the hostile spawning limits, there is still no guarantee that an increase would be seen at guardian grinders due to the hostile mobs spreading out across all loaded chunks.

Edit: redwall is looking into whether or not there are alternative solutions. Update to follow.

Edit2: Follow-up no longer needed as individuals have altered their grinders to address this issue.

Suggestion(s): "any way we can get /mail to tab-complete names of people that aren't online?"

Our Response: Thank you for your suggestion(s)! We've reached out to one of our tech admins to request that this is included. Currently other projects are taking priority but at some point in future they will aim to implement this for us. We'll look to provide a status update with any news at a later date on this.

Suggestion: can you not have nether spawners next rev, it encourages AFK in the nether which reduces mob spawns elsewhere and makes hunters very angry.

Our Response: We reintroduced spawners in the nether due to feedback from people across the community. We hear your feedback but this is something we'll look to ask about again in future revision feedback topics.

 

Suggestion: meters per second meter a la elytra but in minecarts

Our Response: We'd like to see screenshots as examples here, as well as more context for your suggestion. Please submit a follow-up suggestion or open a discussion on the forums/subreddit.

 

Suggestion: Could the pumpkin head the mobs are dropping currently have a special name?

Our Response: Unfortunately this is a Mojang run event throughout Halloween so we may be limited on what we can alter here. Regardless, Halloween is now over so it may be too late for us to consider such a change.

Suggestions: "let "admins" on chests break them if they didn't place them" & "I mean, where you do /cmodify @playername".

Our Response: We rely on an external plugin, LWC to manage chest permissions. Due to this, modifying LWC for every update on our end may be unfeasible in the long run. We do have a team of padmins who are on tap to help out with these situations though via modreq, especially where you cannot contact the chest owner.

 

Suggestion: /mail playername alias for /mail send playername

Our Response: Provided this alias will not cause any conflicts with NerdMessage (the home of the /mail commands) then we'll happily look to add this. We'll follow up with a response to this with an update.

Suggestion: Allow TNT damage on mobs.

Our Response: Thank you for your suggestion. In the case of TNT, it is a delicate balance to ensure that this block remains decorative for now as allowing it to detonate could cause lag issues (when used on mass, this can lead to server crashes in large enough quantities) as well as potential new avenues for griefing. With that said, we will have a conversation with techs to see what sorts of things might be feasible in future and what kind of potential issues we may need to consider.

 

Suggestion: Could we have the 3D view of the livemap?

Our Response: We've been recently exploring the idea of other mapping tools which offer more functionality. For the moment we'd recommend exploring the cartograph for a semblence of 3D (with the isometric views). If we do adopt any new mapping features then we'll be sure to announce it.

 

Suggestion: Golden pressure plates to be used as powered rails to match the looks of the iron pressureplates usable for rails.

Our Response: This was recently looked into by Pez and it is not something as straight-forward as hoped. For this reason we're not looking to request resources into this area currently.

 

Suggestion: Could we maybe get a pithy list of general changes that traincarts has made? (i.e., "you previously needed ~X distance between powered rails, and now ~Y is recommended")

Our Response: We agree that documentation is lacking in this area - it is not well documented, even by the creator! We will engage someone with the task of recording all the changes this plugin has made to the server at present, whether that be a staff member or player (some people have wider experiences than others in this area).

 

Suggestion: make an area (like shulker area's placed by mods) that made explosions effective

Our Response: We've recently responded to a similar suggestion regarding explosions on P. We will look into the effects of explosions and the reasons why they are presently disabled, with help from techs. There are good reasons they don't exist at present, and we will make sure at the very least, that those reasons are still valid.
