Hello everyone, i’m sure everyone is getting sick of my posts, but here’s another one. :D I would like to propose a few changes to the rules. These changes serve 2 main purposes. First, to make the rules a little shorter. Large amount of text can be off putting to new players, and makes it more unlikely that they will read through them. The changed set of rules is about 300 words shorter than what we have now. However, universal section is about 70 words longer. This is due to changing the "Don't be a dick" rule. Second, to allow for better handling of a situation where a player is clearly doing something wrong, but the player tries to contest whatever warning or ban was issued due to their actions because the specific situation was not explicitly stated in the rules. For the most part, the changes are in the universal and survival sections. No changes were made to the Creative section, and the only changes in the PvE section were to remove the rules already covered in the universal section. It is a possibility that having 2 meetings could lead to fragmented discussions and ideas. However, as far as I know having 2 meetings has not been tried before, and I think it's worth the attempt to try to hear as many opinions as we can. If it turns out that having 2 meetings is a bad idea, we won't do it next time.

It's possible that the person who made this appeal and the appeal for Caffeine42 are not the same person. However, given that the appeals for Caffeine42 and cameron4938 are coming from the same ip and the things you have said in the appeals above I believe that these accounts are used by the same person. Why should I believe otherwise?

Since we have not heard from buch, I think we should make the decision to go with a CTF event for the 5 year anniversary, so we can start working on it. What does everyone think about this?

I think that's fair request. How about one week after the meetings we will post what our plans are with dates for when they will be implemented? That should give us more than enough time to talk to the techs, heads, and anyone else we need to about implementing something.

No. Part of the problem is that you guys, roastnewt and a very specific group of players, like to keep everything in pm's, or in mumble where there is no logs. You are very passive aggressive, [retracted because logs can not be publicly provided] , and over all are very rude in the private conversations you have with us. I'm more than willing to talk to you, but not in private.

I'm not sure if we will have the time to talk about every suggestion. I would really like to keep the meetings around 2 hours longs because I think people would have a hard time staying focused for much longer. We could have a part of the meeting where anyone who wants to speak can have the floor for a few mins to talk about anything. Again, I'm not sure if this would make the meeting to long, so we could either have it this meeting if everyone is up for it or have another meeting not long after these ones to discus any new ideas.

Stop acting like everything that's wrong with S is because of the current sadmins, we both know that is not true. There has been many things over the years that has lead S to where it is now, and to place the blame for it on any one admin or group of admins is very naive. It's up to both the players and admins to make S work, not just one group None of those meetings have been run by me, and I guarantee that S will not be the same in the weeks/months (depends on what we do) after the meetings because we can't afford to be the same server that we were before the meetings. As for what twilexis said, she could have said that in a better way, but she is not wrong. You, and a few others, consistently complain about everything we do, even when I proposed a way to find solutions to these problems. You do nothing to try to fix these problems, but you always seem to be one of the loudest ones complaining.

The point of the meeting is to discus the suggestions you guys have given us to make S a better place, so I'm not sure the point of you saying "If the admins had their shit together, I imagine there'd be a lot less bitching" for any other reason than to try to start something. Your posts in this thread, the one before this, and mail make it seem like you don't want this meeting to work, and that's not helpful to anyone.

Hello everyone, It has been about two weeks since we asked for your suggestions, and since then we received over 30 of them! We have gone through all of the suggestions and put together an agenda for the meeting, which you can find below. There will probably be a few changes made to the agenda before the actual meetings, but any changes would be minor. As for the meetings, they will be open meetings in mumble where anyone may speak. However, the meeting should only be to discuss what is on the agenda, and new suggestions should try not to be brought up. If there are enough new suggestions, we can always have another meeting, but I would like to avoid the long unorganized meetings we have had in the past. The point of this meeting is to allow everyone to voice their opinions and discuss the possible changes, so no decisions about changes will be made during the meetings.
