There was a single letter typo in the plugin file that sets the permission for that command, allowing it to be used contrary to our wishes. Several admins that I discussed this matter with expressed their disappointment that you chose to exploit the mistake rather than let us know. I've confiscated the pick. That's exactly how it's supposed to work on all the servers. I wasn't aware that it wasn't that way on C. I will fix that as soon as I can.

From a tech's perspective, implementing a bed radius was the laziest, simplest thing I could possibly do. But I think it also more fully embodies the intended behaviour - to prevent repeated deaths due to spawning naked in a place where PvP is allowed (unlike top spawn). For the problem of dying near your bed accidentally, having a 3 strikes rule will lead to more successful bed camping. I think simply giving players the choice to respawn at their bed, as has been suggested, is a better solution to that. That has an easy solution: put a chest of emergency supplies by your bed. It's in the realm of base design. I don't think we've mentioned it anywhere: lock both ends of the bed with LWC, or else it can still be broken.

We had the someone spamming chat with a bunch of alt accounts the other day. I cranked up the NCP chat settings after that. I can look for a middle ground.

I take issue with you cherry picking just one of my remarks in order to frame this as some kind of ridiculous cover up. The point is you launched into a personal attack against one of our staff which got you warning, quoting the rule ("Excessively negative comments or disruptive arguments/discussions in global chat are not tolerated.") and asking you to talk to the heads. The comment that you chose to screen shot is in fact true in my opinion. Not all of our players have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the ins and outs of the server, nor should they care. They're here to play blocks.

I have not yet had time to process this appeal in full. I've had many higher priority tasks on my plate: The upgrade to 1.7.2. The survival reset. Seasonal events on PvE. Moderator client tools (work in progress). The evidence for this appeal is long and involved and will take me some time to organise for coherent presentation. It takes into account several incidents involving Skewer and his brother (yes, I knew before I asked) PunchMyTree where one would xray and grief using an alternate account and the other would pass the items to his accomplice by dying (usually from jumping off a high rail structure above their base). In the final summation, they netted in excess of 200 silk touched diamond ores, plus numerous valuable blocks that they griefed from a base on the same road as their own base. The connection between the alternate accounts and their primary accounts is established, for the most part, only indirectly by movement of items between accounts. Skewer's use of noclip hacks to access his chest provided the final confirmation of the requirement for a ban. Prior to that I was hoping to observe these incidents directly. Given their past history of xray, and with the volume of evidence that I have uncovered, I intend to impose a ban of 12 months each, in lieu of a permanent sentence. And hence, I have felt no particular sense of urgency regarding this appeal, in comparison to my other tasks. I believe I'll have sufficient time to deal with it all early in the new year.

For completeness, we generally show an image of the edits that led to an xray ban. The client mod that I usually use to show those edits more clearly isn't updated yet, but some progress has been made on the client mod front (for 1.7) recently. Am I misunderstanding your first comment? I took it as a statement that you were going to say something more; either a confession or a denial. I'll wait one more day and then simply assume that your default position is denial and we'll go through the evidence in detail. Tedious and voluminous as that evidence is.

The ban duration was set in consultation with the P admins, by comparison to the ban you would experience for using xray, which historically rarely gets close to even half that number of diamonds. I leaned on the side of mercy, believe me.
