  1. I believe the best solution for this problem is to leave it to admin discretion on re-sizing and reclaiming regions. If a player claims a giant area, yet only ever built on 1/4 of the claim and then never returns for 30days - we should be re-sizing their border so that other players can use the land. A prime example of this can be seen at coords; 1900, 65, -1730 An entire island with less than 1/4 of it being built on approx 1 month ago, and the player not returning to it - this is where I see shrinking a region acceptable. We have the capability of expanding the map as well, but we should try to have some of these huge spaces close to spawn filled up before we go expanding the map, so we don't end up with a sparse map that is uninteresting to fly around and look at things. Having a "reserve system" may be too complicated to explain to players, plus I think we have a decent understanding of our "regular players" and the size of builds they usually generate over a revision. We need to be wary of a new player requesting a massive region. Another thing, we need to ensure players are making their borders on their own by manually placing the block border. This is a test for them because it proves their interest in claiming the land. Do not make a players border for them using WE, they need to show us they are willing to commit the time and effort. ~bard
  2. For the past few revs I thought of it being common knowledge among regular players/mods to keep a small buffer between regions, perhaps I will add a reminder message to the server alerts - just to keep everyone in the loop.
  3. The main reason is because players want this buffer zone between builds. There were many complaints about different builds being mere blocks from one another, some players plan to incorporate a buffer within their claim and others build right up to their border which we cannot control - so having a buffer between regions can relieve conflicts.

  5. Hi Nolan, Thanks for expressing your concern here. We understand there have been many large claimed areas, and some that become abandoned will be removed. The areas you specifically show are claims that were granted to active players who are known to fill up their regions over time. It is still very early in the rev, that is why much of their claims are mostly empty - by the end of the revision you will likely see the regions filled. Not to worry though! soon we will be expanding the map and opening some fresh new land!
  6. Hey Everyone, I Just want to remind all moderators who create regions for players on Creative to please leave at least a 10-15 block space between region protections. It is ok for the very large regions to butt against each other, but the small regions with plenty of free space around should not be huddled right beside each other - try to encourage claims that have a "buffer zone".   8. Creative Revision 29 will have a Spawn City, please follow this guide for adding players to permissions in Spawn City. The types of plots are as follows: - Suburb - Downtown (skyscrapers) - Shop Players can find an unclaimed plot and type /modreq claim - type /rg i (To find out the child region name you are standing in.) Example: Suburb_15, Shop_5, Downtown_1 - type /rg addowner suburb_15 PLAYER After you have added the player to the child region, update the sign on the plot to show: - Plot number - Player name - Date added Example of sign format: Suburb Plot #15 PLAYER August 22 /signtext 2 PLAYER (to add player name to line 2) /signtext 3 DATE (to add date to line 3) The sign in the middle of the plot can be deleted after! Just have the andesite block with sign when you are finished. Please Do Not add players to the spawn city regions; SpawnCity_North and SpawnCity_South If plots go unused or are left unfinished and there is a demand for plots, they be reclaimed after 1-2 weeks. Hello nickeynickey123, The note I added for you, gamergirl2251 and spamasaur; are all from the same incident which happened less than 1 month ago. gamergirl2251 asked in chat if it's ok to make a NSFW build. The response from another player was "No" - but the building continued until I seen it. This note is very recent and it was not made in error. Therefore I am not going to remove it right now.
  20. I just wanted to add my thoughts here. I do not mind the PvE, S players using the creative server for planning things, the only time I have a problem with this is when prototype builds are scattered haphazardly over the map. I think most players currently planning on C have done a good job of keeping planning in their regions. Having a multiverse world for PvE, S planning is a good idea, and I think we should continue moving forward with getting it up and running. It is not feasible to prevent players from using C for PvE, S planning - we have to find a way to properly accomodate them. It sounds like many PvE players use their own planning servers. If we brought in a multiverse world for planning; would these players come and use it?
