Shift + Cmd + 3
I know. I was a Mac power user before actually owning one (thanks to memorizing several books on OS X beforehand). :P
But then you don't get to take advantage of Watson's awesome screenshot-management features. It groups them in folders by names in the LogBlock results, and can be set to create date-based folders when it doesn't have a user to go on.
-
It doesn't display your Facebook/Twitter/Google profile to anyone, it's just used for login. It gives you a randomized "dj-1337" name until you pick your own display name.

You appear to have been warned more than once fairly recently for this sort of thing, as the notes tompreuss posted show. While frustration with with mobs killing you isn't typically accepted as an excuse for not replanting, I'm inclined to be lenient in this case.
You are unbanned as of now, but please familiarize yourself further with the rules and avoid this behavior in the future.

Now if only that 1.7 issue of not being able to take screenshots with the chat pane open wasn't a problem. So annoying. :P

Totemo, you're awesome!
Oh, btw, you don't need to use Google Docs for builds anymore. GitHub Releases allows you to upload a build and associate it with the current state of a branch.

Place ice every second block on two adjacent edges, break ice, /modreq water flow. :)
That's fantastic. (Why didn't I think of that!) I've always hated that you couldn't stack full buckets...

Ban for Triviee on c.nerd.nu for major griefing on C. No constructive edits. nerd.nu/appeal to appeal your ban. by nickeox on 2014-02-08 09:21:45 UTC+0000
Nickeox will be with you as soon as possible. If you do not receive a response within 48 hours, feel free to bump your appeal.

Not sure on that. The numbers have dropped quite a bit and this is the second longest rev to date.
Sorry about that. Me spending time over on S must have impacted the numbers.
-
Sounds good to me, as I mentioned in IRC.

Roast, do you make political polls as well?

You say you're looking for ways for us to stand apart from other servers, yet our current system rejecting ranks or trusted groups is a great thing that sets us apart from many, many others. The only "incentive" we should have for playing on these servers is the joy of playing with friends. Becoming a moderator or an admin should not be an incentive - mods have no legitimate advantages in gameplay over that of everyone in general, only duties and the tools necessary to fulfill those duties.
This x10. The egalitarian nature of Nerd is a major part of the network's identity, and one thing I miss terribly when playing games (of any kind) on others' servers. No donor perks, no ranks.

Well, it's been about two days, and I haven't seen any signs of Bestor. I don't see any point in waiting any longer, so I will be taking over your appeal. You seem honest and aware of the rules, and you've technically been banned far longer than the typical length for x-ray.
So, consider yourself unbanned, and welcome back to Nerd.

Due to tomorrow being Super Bowl Sunday, which doesn't work for many people, TornadoHorse and I will be stepping up to handle the arena. (Last minute decision on my part amid the confusion.)

Ban information:
Ban for jonnykrass on c.nerd.nu for xraying - nerd.nu/appeal by Bestor on 2012-06-27 23:59:25 (no more bans, no notes)
Please be patient and Bestor will be with you soon. If nobody has responded within 48 hours, feel free to bump your appeal.

It would also just force towns to grind for things, or treat people as a resource towards getting a portal through player activity, both of which I feel aren't productive.
Bleh. I'm all too familiar with that. An MMO I used to play had a "guild level," which was required to be of a certain rank for the members to get certain perks, and it would decay over time unless players were active. This, of course, meant guild leaders would constantly kick players who weren't active enough to be contributing to the rank.

That's why we have a little thing called UTC. It makes everyone's life easier.
Anyway, whiteturbo, Montreal is in the EDT/EST timezone, I believe. (That's UTC-5, or UTC-6 for Daylight Savings Time.) So you want the North American one, which would be 7PM EST.

Isn't this the carto you are looking for?
Yes, beast. I meant to say rev 21. When I tried earlier it wasn't in the directory structure. Tornado's post has the link to where Sanctuary is.
-
Well, if it is PvP, and you spawn near your own area, it makes it hard to break a whole 3x3x3 cube before people respawn and come kill you.
Unless you log on at off peak hours. I know I scored a few times in CTF by waking up early on the second day. :D

The carto for Sanctuary seems to be missing. Sanctuary had some amazing builds (best experienced in person). The city hall and farms were worthy of Braum, and my wizard tower is pretty spiffy (especially the drop trap), to name a few.

My suggestion: allow anyone to place portals. Portals for everyone! (What could possibly go wrong?)

I missed Synergetrick's. It does sound better, judging by the discussion at least. This is more the techadmins' area, though. Obviously they would have to audit any plugins for that sort of performance issue before putting one in place.

Mrloud, cab, Draykhar and I have come to a consensus: we're definitely open to trying an alternative to SafeBuckets in the future. (Such as roastnewt's proposal, for example.) The caveat being that it should only be done at the start of a new revision, so we don't break things or confuse players.
Edit: The above mention of roastnewt's proposed solution is not an endorsement of a particular plugin. Merely an example.

No, there is not a way to put a delay on warps. (At least, not without extensive additions to the sign plugin.) Allowing /warp wouldn't work either, for numerous reasons, one being that there are plenty of warp points that should not be public. (For example: it's not uncommon to set warp points to, say, the control box in an arena, to make it easier to manage the event.)
I do have good news, though: The usual /spawnme command will work for the event. Tharine pointed out in the subreddit that it should be easy to reset its target temporarily, so I checked up on the CH script that runs it. So I'll get that set up later.

I like the idea.

All right, next rev I will be making an ASIC miner for $pudcoins. (a.k.a giant underground industrial autofarm)
