  1. I don't agree with doing the move without warning if they've only been inactive for 3-4 months. Primarily I say this because I don't feel they'll need retraining after that short a period of time. The last thing we really want to do is create an unnecessary barrier to bringing trustworthy and therefore valuable staff back.

I'd suggest we handle it the same way we handle mod's who change servers. A mod trained in C modding does not have the same knowledge set as a mod trained for S modding, so by necessity they need to seek training from an admin (or maybe other mods). The key here is that it is the individual mod's responsibility to mod properly and to seek retraining if needed. I've done this myself.

  2. Your griefing was more extensive than originally noted. Including significant damage and fiery ignition of the following structure (a flying ship): http://nerd.nu/maps/creative/#/754/64/119/max/0/0

The griefing was rolled back and your accounts temporarily banned.

Your ban length is set for a week from today April 16, 2014. On that day please read through our rules and post here again stating you have read them, which one you broke, and that you will follow it in the future and you will be unbanned.

  4. I realize it is probably bad form to make a serious suggestion on April 1st, but here it is anyway.

Would it be possible to have any modreq that has the word "grief" in the text be automatically pushed to the top of the modreq queue? This ensures that thwarting greifers is given our top level of attention even if we have multiple pages of modreqs (which is very common at the beginning of a rev).

  5. Like any road, or lap lane at a pool, we should have lane markers. I can imagine cities choosing to have wider segments with actual barriers separating the lanes, much the same way that highways separate lanes differently than local roads.

  6. Perhaps stipulate that major infractions (anything that could result in a ban by itself, but hasn't) and bans be kept indefinitely. Minor infractions (minor grief/spam/inappropriate language)  should be retained for 6 months to a year if there are not more recent related infractions (since together these might justify a ban).

  7. I'm announcing now that the final theme on Friday will be "Redstone."

Please keep in mind that normal server rules still apply. This means clocks (redstone signals that travel continuously in a circle and repeat) must be toggle-able (able to be turned on and off). Any clocks should only be turned on by you for testing and by judges for during final judgement.

It is suggested that any activation buttons, switches, etc... be clearly marked with either brightly colored wool or signs so that judges can easily find how to activate your device.

Please plan out your builds and be thoughtful!
