  1. Well I don't do cool selfies but here's a fairly recent of myself and the better part at a friends wedding.
  2. Fak, the one week I'm gone... Well I'll try to be signed up for the next one, I do really like the idea though switch, good work!
  3. Alas, haven't ever seen one of these threads so lets get some current movie reviews going! I had the guilty pleasure of watching Arnold in all his old wrinkly glory in the new Terminator and I personally had totally horrible expectations for it, and was completely surprised. Just because it had some slip ups from the older movies previous plots, I'd say a 7/10 for the killer action and what not! Anyways that was my lame first post so someone do me a better one and help your fellow nerd members out when picking a movie!
  4. Was there a follow up or has it been 7 months of no answer from the padmins?
  5. Seems this has been solved, closing.
  6. The solution is always the 'Murica server! I cant completely get behind this idea for a few reasons. 1) why would we play there if it's not nerd? We all stay here for the rules and the community, why would we essentially become a junction 2.0? 2) why would nerd need to be involved in the making of this "secondary server" at all? For the funding? For the moderating? What can we bring to the table that anyone else with $10 a month not bring? Overall I am very please we made this move for survival. It's the best thing that could be done to help re-brand survival into something made for this generation of competitive servers that exist today.
  7. I do appreciate it good sir. I want to be clear I appreciate the hard amazing work that all of the admins and staff put in, especially to survival, and I hope to see that positive amazing energy in a new direction relatively soon. Thank you for the quick reply Barlimore, that is 100% what I was hoping for. This can be closed unless others wish to discuss.
  8. So I'm going to be blunt in this whole argument, as I'm keeping this in MCP to avoid stirring the community. To start, survival at this moment has 10 players on it. Just 10. About 5 hours after a new revision and 10 people are online. I don't know how many times one must ask but how long before things change? Is this the fate we've given survival is to have 10 players on a map capable of holding 200 or more? This is not a shot at the admins, or anyone at all let me be clear. We are a community and as such, we take equal blame in survival deteriorating into what stands today. The point of all of this is what is to change? So far despite the numerous discussions that are being held for changing how S is run and operates, we launch a new revision, almost expecting for it to fail. In that sense I mean that the demeanor that everyone holds seems to be "S will die, its just a matter of time" What can be done to avoid this? Clearly nothing but total and complete overhaul of the system. Not bandaid fixing with shops and rewards for pvping, because the facts show that has not worked at all for us. I hope this gives a view of how we should change. Where the effort should go and what should be done as quickly as possible to ease our way back into relevance as far as a pvp server. Thank you.
  9. Alright so TL;DR: There will be no staff during these times apparently, please keep your anarchy to a minimum thank you.
  10. This is quite true, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to just test it, even if it does divide some.
  11. Well if tebok will no longer play we must scrap all ideas. Being serious again this is a only a discussion please don't go planning your resignation over this. The split world idea as C4 said perfectly, would "fracture our already moderately sized player size" and while I would like to say everyone would enjoy this change, of course you'll always have the few who won't agree.
  12. I'm simply surveying to see if anyone would even still enjoy playing in survival anymore or if it's long in the past... The point isn't very pronounced just a general consensus of if building with unlimited materials would be enjoyable to many while giving it the nostalgic feel and challenge of walking places and scaffolding up to create proper buildings and what not. That was the purpose here, just a changing of the consistentcy we've had.
  13. The problem with multi world that we all seem to forget is that if creative has the capability to fly and then that will be 110% more popular as obviously it's easier to navigate. Obviously if the demand is there for both worlds then that will be helpful, but right now as standing about 10-20 people are on at a single time during the standard creative rev which isn't high demand.
  14. So here comes my big old suggestion part II: please keep in mind this is all in the name of improving creatives standing as a server all together and promote players to join. Some might remember that creative long long ago was without flying and in my opinion it was one of the high points of being challenging while having a nice balance of still being enjoyable. I'll keep this relatively short cause I think maybe a poll or just this discussion would help a lot to move this idea foward or keep it in the past. Thanks everyone!
  15. Let's just make the staff vacation plan to help Barlimore move in yeah?
  16. Down with apple! *prepare to derail thread*
  17. Haha shit I think that site is not very mobile friendly. But under my response anytime on the 1st is open so me
  18. Could you clarify what junction plans you mean? Like a balancing of combative and non combative areas or simply making the map smaller to make more PvP hot spots. I know the Non PvP area in the map at all sounds droll at first but it can promote building, which in turn promotes further exploration to create a base out in the PvP area and battle other players for valuables only available out there. Or even eleminating the non PvP zone and just sticking with farther out exploration with maybe a custom world generation to give the whole experience a different feel such as a barren Forrest biome and so on.
  19. apologies mate didn't mean it to be offensive.
  20. Agenda spotted, suggestion denied thanks for playing :D *but for real this should be done so vote yes from me
  21. So the broken part is we are missing players? that I have to disagree with and your long absence from survival possibly leads me to feel like you're running off old information? Whether we come to terms with it or not, the gameplay of our founders in 2011 and such is stale and unadaptive. We've tried solving this before with player sponsoring and advertisements and it certainly seems like a content crisis not a missing player issue. Perhaps a spin off as you were saying where the spawn and small surrounding area have little to offer and then beyond that are the incentives. Also PvE has nothing to do with this, nor controls anything. As I've also pointed out we are not limited by any other server, we are just going for the improvement of survival.
  22. To start off, I'm hoping this little bit of background helps show I'm not giving this advice without truly having insight into how survival had worked over the past few years, nor the attitude everyone takes towards these changes. I have discussed this idea with a few staff members but didn't get the feedback I was looking for so here it is to you good folks. I 100% loved playing survival back in the day and seeing how far it's come is impressive, but also I feel we should consider how far it hasn't changed. The idea pitched a while ago about survival having a mixed non combat and combat areas was interesting, and I felt it wasn't given its proper turn over with consideration. The main focus would still be PvP, and it would have many incentives to entice players to journey out into the circular pvp area following the smaller maybe 300x300 interior circle area that is non pvp. The idea would be to go out into the "wilderness" and fight other players to find the admin made treasures (small but useful) or possibly even dungeons or something to that effect? The whole concept is to make the map constantly changing and dynamic and interesting. That's what S is lacking is the changing dynamic and while its worked over the years, I think we both can agree that survival deserves a little more than 10 players a day after 2 months or more of a rev. I'd appreciate your thoughts! Please keep in mind this is all just up in the air discussion, but I think with the proper influence, we could create survival into a highly enjoyable and renewed experience.
  23. A huge portion of abuse of choosing sides was players using lots of alts to get on the team of their choice. I think we should take the time to go above IP locking and lock alt accounts with all known IP's previously used to try to prevent this issue in the future. Something of that nature wouldn't be too difficult to just keep a large record of alt connections or possibly some other strategy to ensure one team isn't stacked with a huge amount of active players while the other is filled with offline alt accounts and so on.
