Bump. Can we just get a yes or no already instead of leaving threads to stagnate in future?
Sorry, you're no longer a contributing member of our community ;D
But really, would be nice to talk about S.. and the fact that it rarely has over 4 players on...

I agree with all of the above, this could be a lot of fun

To my knowledge, nobody has ever been banned for it, it's just been a rule. The difference between taping your mouse button down and using software to autoclick is speed. Does this really matter much in terms of afking at a grinder? Not really, at least as I've seen demonstrated. I'm personally not comfortable allowing gameplay automation tools out of principle, but I don't see any harm in this being unbanned unless it can be demonstrated that it gives a clear advantage over someone who simply tapes their mouse, etc.

I'm guessing that ban appeal was the reason for the bump and revival of this thread. I don't play a lot on P, but I also don't see how it would affect other players negatively (which is what I normally think of for these kind of things).

I'd be interested to see the results of a double launch, but I kinda doubt you guys can get a map up and running by the end of the week. Especially since many S players have submitted ideas, and whether or not any of them will be implemented has not been discussed.
I wish we knew what was discussed and not discussed already. Would make it easier to not repeat the same things that have already been talked about, or maybe knew if we were going with big changes again or just small changes from rev 26, etc.

Bumping because I still think this could work, even with citadel. Would still love feedback. These add ons could bring more players in while continuing to keep them interested in S.

Oh, I missed this one, sorry. We have access to the YouTube channel. I spent like an hour last night trying to get shaders working so I could shoot a short preview of the new rev and it was an abysmal failure.
I would like to use it more.
I would be down to help
This will probably get shot down but I make music and it would be cool if my stuff could be played in some videos there hehe
What kind of music is it?

I agree, something has to be done. If success is determined by numbers, we definitely aren't very successful at the moment.

Is this [ https://docs.google.com/document/d/1e5b6oLYH79VyvnelZvd496Qf3mrcdJoCyv1J8EHsIp4/edit ] no longer going to be a thing? We haven't been told much about S and what the admins think about the current revision. I'm just curious.

I personally don't think mail warnings always work as players can easily miss them if they're not paying attention or just don't know how to use the mail commands (it took me some time to figure out when I first started out). I was thinking of a plug in that could be used to warn a player in a different color (such as red) through chat, and refreshes every 15 minutes or so until the player clears it. This would mean no excuses for the player as it would continue to pop up in chat until cleared.
The idea would be the staff member would use /warn, while the players would have to use /warnings to see the warnings and their number (like a modreq) to do /warnings clear #.
Just a thought :-)

All of these are being saved for future reference :-)

I'm not a C veteran or even that much of a C player, but I think something that would interest me is more building contests. All different kinds: short 10 minute builds to week long builds. I personally have wanted to enter some contests but my schedule never permitted it (since there were only like 2 this rev). I think these are important to C, just as arenas are important to S.

The problem is minecraft updating at times that are unknown, and possibly not being able to update certain plug ins in that time. But I do think it would be cool to have those seasons, and maybe could add to the landscape a bit (maybe winter has more snow biomes while summer has less etc.).

Yeah, I don't think people are remembering that a large XP plump really dulls the gameplay as there's no difficulty in getting enchants at all. X15 or something similar is fun for a while, but gets old once Diamond Armour is brought out.
Because I know I love sitting in a grinder for 2 hours trying to make a set for a five minute fight. I didn't vote for x15 but I think it should be a large plump to have more people playing, and less players sitting in grinders trying to be able to play.

One thing I don't really like about the questions is that we're basically choosing between what we have now, or what we had before. There's an "other" option, but it's still based around the premise of the two. I feel there should be some way to post new ideas as well. Maybe a second thread could be set up for solely posting new ideas?

If you were a head admin, how long would you ban eehee for?

The servers should always be looking to be improved in every way possible. There will never be a perfect server, but we're going to try and get as close as we can.
-
This is absolutely a community based servers, and we listen to the community all the time and use what it says when we are making a decision a lot more than most of you guys seem to realize. It's our job to mange policy for the servers and the policy the thread was suggesting was/is not an opinion, so t it was closed saying as much. I love hearing from you guys and the suggestions you come up with, but in this case I did not see the point in having a discussion on something that was not going to change. However, as Dumbo has pointed out even though that policy is not going to change something useful could have come from a discussion about it, and looking back I should have explained why have no intention of implementing and asked if you guys had any idea on ways to improve the process. It's too late to change what has happened now, but I think it would be a good idea to create a new thread explaining how the mod nomination process works (probably include the reasoning behind the steps) and then ask you guys for suggestions on ways to improve it.
I would upvote this, but it says I've reached my maximum quota of upvotes for today

You do realize it is literally head admins role to moderate the servers with a final say, which includes the forums. It seems to me that you are implying that any moderation by the staff is 100% against the "community" (which the staff are a part of, right?)
You do realize that a final say usually comes after a discussion right? Closing a thread for the reason that it's already been discussed in private somewhere isn't moderating the forum. It's taking away someones, anyones privilege to speak.
-
Yes, I am defending Mrloud. Because of the following image, which is the complete opposite of a "healthy discussion" and honestly it makes me a bit sick, this seems like mob mentality and the community should be better than this.
You're saying that people aren't allowed to be unhappy when MrLoud was the one who locked the thread and took away peoples ability to have a "healthy discussion"? Because to me, closing community threads for utterly no reason when there COULD be a discussion is the opposite of having a "healthy discussion".
I downvoted because MrLoud took away peoples privilege to speak their minds on a topic in what is supposed to be a community based server.

Its a joke eehee, you of all people should know this.
And yes, bickering about slide and everyone else is solving nothing, also the downvotes are nice. Truly shows everyones colors.
None of your posts have contributed to the conversation. Even with Slide and Gsands "bickering" we learned that the admins feel more attacked than feeling like the community is working with them. Even something as small as that is contributing

These threads don't need to focus on one topic at all times. If they lead into different discussions then that shouldn't be a problem.

I would say just the more popular mods be listed, while mods that aren't on the list should be asked by the players if they can be used.
