Revisiting this topic because of a particular game mechanic that will change in 1.8. Some of you may have heard that in the 1.8 snapshot, 14w03, iron golems will drop iron (and pigmen with gold) only if a player has had some sort of interaction with it. Although this might be jumping the gun a little bit, it should be something to keep in mind. Currently iron golem farms are very popular on the server, with most larger cities having their own version of one. Whenever the time will come that P updates to 1.8, iron farms will be just a little different than they are now. One method of bypassing this new mechanic and keeping iron grinders "afk-able" is to use an autoclicker to hit or throw items that will give the iron golems the player interaction they need to drop iron. Additionally, if a player wants to build a grinder in 1.8 without using the autoclicker method or taping down their mouse button, it would be very similar to regular zombie or skeleton grinders, where the mobs will pile up in a small area until the player kills them all at once. I am no expert on server stability, but I have a feeling that iron golems might cause more lag than other mobs when large numbers are in one condensed area. Just to reiterate, I understand that this is a feature that is in a snapshot for something very far into the future for us, but I figured it was something that should be kept in mind on the topic of Autoclickers. Well you see, it all started when I was just a little MrWonderbaby18. Socarch27 and the mighty Argothians destroyed my home planet of Wünder, disgustingly spreading our resources commonly throughout their people. My parents, Mr. MrWonderland and Mrs. MrWonderland, knew I was too valuable to be lost in the battle. In their last act of love, they sent me away in a stained clay rocketship, with only my magic hat to protect me. Three PvE revisions pass and I crash into the glorious planet Senicia. After adapting to their cultures and "signology" I became one of them. I fought with them in the Parental Wifi Blockades, where I suffered hourly disconnects and mass afkitis. My fury for the Argothians was shared among the Senician people, for they were also fighting the battle against communism. So a secret clan made of myself, a creature showing traits of a duck and a crockodile, a strange man with a lust for red-colored dust, and an Argothian spy named Dr. Moo plan to fight the oppression that is mighty Argoth using a traditional game known as "spleefing" and an underground Argoth retaliation unit, known as "Argoth Gold", to take them from the inside.
