This kind of direct attack and homophobic language is never tolerated on our servers. The ban length I'd have set for you has already passed. Please read nerd.nu/rules and reply to this thread stating that you have done so and agree to abide by them from that moment forward to be unbanned.

If no one has attended to your appeal after 48 hours have passed, please feel free to bump this thread to bring it to the top of the list.
  3. Yeah, this is a good idea. Sounds fine to me.
  4. According to the code that's published on our github, /give isn't restricted on creative. To head off spam/abuse, totemo added a line six months ago that notified the recipient of who the giver was. I tested just now on P and giving items to a player with /give notifies them who the giver was. I also tested syntax, and /give /give playername both fail with permission errors but /give playername item /give playername item quantity work successfully. The usage instructions not showing properly is because of a typo in the code, which I've fixed in this pull request. After that is merged, we should be good. Yeah, except prior to that, Eehee had what appear to be successful gives to admanta and several others: 2014-01-31 21:57:20 | CH: Running original command on player EeHee2000 ----> /give Admanta 14 3289 2014-01-31 21:57:23 | CH: Running original command on player EeHee2000 ----> /give Admanta 14 3289 2014-01-31 21:57:25 | CH: Running original command on player EeHee2000 ----> /give Admanta 14 3289 2014-01-31 21:57:25 | CH: Running original command on player EeHee2000 ----> /give Admanta 14 3289 2014-01-31 21:57:26 | CH: Running original command on player EeHee2000 ----> /give Admanta 14 3289 2014-01-31 21:57:39 | CH: Running original command on player EeHee2000 ----> /give knapp 14 3289 2014-01-31 21:57:43 | CH: Running original command on player EeHee2000 ----> /give knapp 14 3289 2014-01-31 21:58:08 | CH: Running original command on player EeHee2000 ----> /give Dia 18 9834 2014-01-31 21:58:30 | CH: Running original command on player EeHee2000 ----> /give Dmbo 18 9834 2014-01-31 21:58:34 | CH: Running original command on player EeHee2000 ----> /give Dumbo 18 9834 2014-01-31 21:58:46 | CH: Running original command on player EeHee2000 ----> /give Mrl 21 9834 2014-01-31 21:58:56 | CH: Running original command on player admanta ----> /give nevastop leaves 512 2014-01-31 21:59:11 | CH: Running original command on player EeHee2000 ----> /give NEVA 21 9834 2014-01-31 21:59:18 | CH: Running original command on player EeHee2000 ----> /give gsand 21 9834 2014-01-31 21:59:30 | CH: Running original command on player admanta ----> /give nevastop 407 512 And going back 20 days, there's over 400 instances of /give usage or attempts to use it by many players.
  5. On P, the padmins had the techs disable/remove Fishchecker long ago for that exact reason.
  6. To the best of my recollection, the last time I spoke to totemo about exactly that he said it would require additional code to be added to the MCBouncer-API.
  7. Since we moved to Bungee, the MCBouncer lookup no longer occurs during login (several MCBouncer things changed actually, like seeing kick/bans cross server). Slide has mentioned working on reimplementing it.
  8. Closing due to inactivity. Please read nerd.nu/rules and create a new appeal stating that you have done so and agree to abide by them from that moment forward to be unbanned.
  9. Thank you Denevien. Hi CPDoyoueven, You were banned for killing a bunch of villagers in another player's enclosed villager area. Additionally, you broke a block that was part of an obvious hostile mob enclosure, releasing the mob which your partner then killed. The ban length I'd have set for you has already passed. Please read nerd.nu/rules and reply to this thread stating that you have done so and agree to abide by them from that moment forward to be unbanned.
  10. Random, I think you're absolutely right, we do allow modifications that affect gameplay and the vague nature of that section of the universal rules makes it hard to both understand exactly what we mean and hard to enforce unilaterally to all players. I feel making a list like S has that explicitly allows/disallows certain client modifications would be in our best interest. This will address all of your points (autoclickers, REI's, auto-rejoin clients) and other mods that we have seen in the past. The padmins will discuss it and update the rules as soon as we are able. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
  11. Sounds like an ACL misconfiguration occurred, likely when we updated admin mumble permissions. I know Denevien did a bunch of work on that when it happened, I'd ask him or a tech admin to look in to it if I were you.
  12. Ban #13162237 for BurntBunn on c.nerd.nu for crop grief on P, no constructive edits nerd.nu/appeal by tompreuss on 2014-01-07 22:38:22 Hi BurntBunn, You were banned for griefing 747 crops in the spawn farm and failing to replant. Note the sugar cane destructions were mostly at ground level (as opposed to eye level allowing the base block to regrow on its own). As you correctly note, there is indeed a sign that says the farm is public. It happens to be directly adjacent to a sign that instructs you to replant. You're banned for three days. Please read nerd.nu/rules and reply to this thread on or after 2014-01-10 stating that you have done so and agree to abide by them from that moment forward to be unbanned.
  13. Random already asked us about this privately and we replied privately thusly: We feel that you and he should not use logblock to give stats unless we allow for all players to lookup their own stats. I bumped this thread with the the hope that totemo can possibly implement something that would allow for that.
  14. Thank you Mrloud15. I'll note also that this appeal thread title was originally "This Abuse and i will not stan for this!" before being changed to "Pvtsnowball971 [tompreuss]" Hi Pvtsnowball971, So we're all on the same page, here is a full and complete historical record of your current and prior bans and warnings that you have been issued: Ban #13104389 for pvtsnowball971 for disruptive chat on P, previously warned five times in the past day nerd.nu/appeal by tompreuss on 2013-12-29 17:28:27 Note #33559 for pvtsnowball971 on c.nerd.nu: Warned for logging to avoid combat / lag occurring during combat by Tharine on 2013-08-21 06:06:18 Note #33568 for pvtsnowball971 on c.nerd.nu: Warned for PvP logging. by mrloud15 on 2013-08-21 18:43:15 Note #33631 for pvtsnowball971 on c.nerd.nu: Previous ban for logging to avoid combat, do not tolerate any further incidents by Tharine on 2013-08-25 00:46:31 Note #35429 for pvtsnowball971 on c.nerd.nu: warned again for use of homophobic language in chat on P by tompreuss on 2013-12-28 18:05:47 Prior bans for griefing (3 days), combat logging (3 days), homophobia (1 month), xray (1 month), and ban evasion (2 weeks). You've also been warned to use a civil tone in your ban appeals here and here. Now then, on to your appeal. First a correction to a few of your assertions: 1) I did not ban you for using a homophobic slur, I kicked you with a reminder not to use homophobic language in chat. 2) Your ban was due to being repeatedly disruptive in chat after several warnings not to do so and your ban message reflects this. As was pointed out to you by TornadoHorse in chat, it's quite clear that you were only using the word "gay" to incite trouble. While the word can mean "happy" and your usage indicates that is what you wanted it to mean, no one in this day and age uses it that way anymore. To think that public chat in an online multiplayer video game would be an acceptable use of the word "gay" (meaning happy) is ludicrous, especially when considering your previous ban for use of homophobic language. In that prior instance you spelled homophobic slurs incorrectly and attempted to claim that you meant on six separate occasions you were calling someone a "flag" or a "flagit" or a "flagot" when it was quite clear to everyone else what you really meant. The same holds true here, you were attempting to skirt around the rules on a technicality, and that's why I kicked you with a warning. Following that, you were repeatedly told to take the issues you had with my handling of that situation to private messages. You did not. Then, when I warned you today about sending an abusive chat message directed at another player you immediately sent another one, directed at me. This led me to ban you. As to which rule you've broken, I'd have thought that after being instructed to read the rules on so many different occasions you'd have a working knowledge of their contents. Being that you clearly do not I'll quote the relevant portion here: Here is a condensed portion of the relevant server logs that reflect what led to your ban, I've bolded the five warnings I reference in my ban message: Aggressive and abusive personal attacks like the ones you gave today, especially ones that are disruptive in public chat, are normally dealt with with bans of significant length. Seeing as how this is your sixth ban from our servers and your prior bans have not seemed to change your rule breaking behavior, despite their already significant cumulative length, I'm setting your ban length at three months. This slightly increases the length over the total of your prior bans. I will further warn you that should you choose to rejoin us after that time has passed and you get banned again, that ban will be permanent. Please read nerd.nu/rules and open a new appeal on or after 2014-03-29 saying that you have done so and agree to abide by them from that moment forward to be unbanned.
  15. While we wait for MCP and our usual client modification moderator tools to arrive, I found that I could get WorldEditCUI working by installing a beta version of LiteLoader and the litemod for WorldEditCUI. This only works on 1.7.2, so just make sure you have a profile for that specific version (and not 1.7.4) before you follow the simple instructions under "how to install" in this minecraft forum post. It's been working great for me though so far, and I know it's real hard to do selections without it so I was glad I found this.
  16. When a player xrays on our server all of their edits and items are removed. We have a specific sign dealing with this in our rules at spawn that you would have walked past when you joined. This rule is designed to be extremely punitive for you and those that you work with. If you read that sign, it also should have acted as a deterrent. I can understand that the players you were working with are upset with you, unfortunately it is your actions and not ours that resulted in this occurring. We added clay underground as an "ore" for this map. Quite a bit, in fact. Despite this, the 4583 clay that you harvested in less than 26 hours is more clay than anyone has gotten total in the last six weeks. Additionally, finding diamonds is not easy on this or any minecraft map; the 11 minutes you spent finding 29 diamond ore in 7 separate deposits pales in comparison to the amount of legit mining time that the rest of the players on our server have had to do. No, we will not be redoing any of your edits.
  17. Hi dontera, Just adding a note here that we are aware of the nature of several accounts connecting from your location. If you use any of those other accounts to play minecraft on our servers during your ban, your ban length will be greatly increased and the accounts you use will be permanently banned. And of course we'll be closely monitoring them for xray and other things that violate our rules.
  18. Then we'll see you on the 22nd. Be sure to follow my instructions then.
  19. Thank you Mrloud15. Hi acrowsmurder, You broke a block of netherrack that released a lava flow onto a highly traveled road in the nether. The lava also flowed down into a railway, breaking the rails there. This caused the death and loss of items for a player. This image shows the lava drips you would have seen before you broke the block This is the full extent of the lava flow you caused As you mention, you've been previously banned for griefing before. Keeping both that and the severity of your actions (death and loss of items for another player) in mind, you're banned for two weeks. Please read nerd.nu/rules and open a new appeal on or after 2013-11-22 saying that you have done so and agree to abide by them from that moment forward to be unbanned.
  20. Request denied. From the rules at spawn:
