I don't see bringing outside prizes, especially cash, going smoothly with server events. The amount of drama that can possibly surround events with misunderstood rules, glitches, bugs, etc etc etc, would be even greater if you start putting up real money for people to play for. Yeah an admin has the final say in situations like that, but we have all seen how that's gone before when it's come to even relatively simple situations such as bans. It was talked about to use money for advertising for bringing new players IN to the servers. One big drama event like that could drive many new people right back out the door.

I don't see the community as dying, just maybe burned out as revs get older and older. Eventually there's strip mines everywhere, you have more supplies you'd ever need, you've enchanted the perfect set of armor, tools, etc over and over again, your city/base/fortress has everything it needs and you're just running circles trying to find something to do. This may not be the case for EVERYONE, but it's what I've noticed happens to me late into every rev. The beginning of rev rush dies down and it slowly dwindles until a new rev for one of the 3 servers, or an event, comes around. I think at the time this was posted all 3 servers just happened to be really late into their revs and people had burnt themselves on in minecraft or just mcpublic. But as this latest P rev has shown us, the community is thriving and I'm actually seeing a lot of regulars coming back once again.

There's people on these servers who act way worse than you that we'd expect an apology from before you. We all get heated and pissy from time to time. Don't worry about it!

I like it. Love the more "natural" arena look than the usual square, flat arenas.

In my opinion I say keep PvP enabled in all areas of the map, no safe area. If people want to stay safe and only PvP when they feel like it, then they can use PvP arenas on P. I think we just need to make a noticeable, hard to miss sign/notice at spawn pretty much saying something along the lines of "PvP happens, you may probably most likely will die, so don't get angry about it".

Check out TabbyChat. I was told it is allowed on P. Would need confirmation about using it on S, but I don't see why not. You can make specific tabs that only show you messages from certain chats and set a default command for that chat/tab (such as /c #[whatever clanchat]) so you dont have to constantly type it to make sure you're in that channel when viewing that tab.

I play on P mostly. I was also on S last rev, but I decided to just stick to P this rev since I'm not able to get on as much because of my new job.

Sadly I never got to play any of the CTF events, so hopefully they stay around since they seem like fun. The admin chases were pretty fun in my opinion.
