  1. I hope this answers your question
  2. The project I am working on is a recreation of the Los Angeles County of Modern Art (LACMA). In conjunction with the George Page Museum and La Brea tarpits the grounds take up an entire block on Wilshire Blvd, sometimes referred to as the Miracle Mile. The reason why it takes up so much land is because I want to build it in a foot:minecraftblock scale. Last revision I tried this but later encountered other builds in the way ultimately giving up on the project http://imgur.com/a/jei0J. When the new rev started, I headed out to the edge of the map and using a schematica overlay of the first image in the album above, began setting the border. Here is an overview of what it would look like: http://puu.sh/qJU2E/2ac1869c0b.jpg I had no idea at the time that there would be a mountain in the way, as the live map was mostly black. Since it bothers people, I will ask for the admins to rollback the mountain, and look for a way to remove it from my protection. I'd rather not let the threats of being punched in the face, and similar remarks, come to fruition. I am also willing to change the scale to meter:minecraftblock, which would effectively reduce it 27 times its current size. Here is an example of how much the change of scale would be: http://puu.sh/qJUnQ/2b6c9d705d.jpg. However, I really wish to keep it at the current scale, and open it up to a community build. I have tried in the past rev to recruit people to help me...and only 1 truly did, marting11. It is hard for me to communicate what I need done with people. If anyone is good at making recruiting post please help me. In terms of schedule, my job does not allow me the time to work on this during the weekdays. It is also the summer, so on the weekends I get caught up with doing summer things like: family outings, catching up with friends in town etc. It would be difficult to start off with a smaller space and continuous expansions than to do it all at once, and not have to worry about it. tl;dr Need help from community else am willing to 1. roll back the mountain. 2. reduce the scale. Not worth it to ruin our playerbase' experience on this new revision.
  3. Now the party is started. I have never been good at keeping up with the subreddit and forum. I'm on lunch break but using my phone so I will add more to the discussion this weekend. I am open to any suggestions made by the community, if it is in the best interest of the community, as this thread pertains to my case. I would again ask though, to wait until I can add further details about my project and activity level before coming to a decision. If it is necessary to make a separate thread, I will try to do so. If you would like specifics, pm me, or /mail me in game. Sincerely, Vito

  5. Honestly, the problem here is that it's suggested that donators will somehow have an advantage. If it's a "psychological advantage" than there really is no problem, get over yourself. Have a message on the donation page that says otherwise: "Warning: Before donating, understand that a flair is only for cosmetic purposes, and provides no advantage in gameplay". A great example of this is League of Legends Skins. They do not determine a persons skill, level, ranking in soloqueue, wins/losses, matchmaking system. They are PURELY cosmetic. A team of fully skinned players can just as easily lose to a team of non-skinned players. A person could have all the skins they want, and still be ranked Bronze V. Conversely, pay to win is when giving money gives a DISTINCT GAMEPLAY ADVANTAGE. For example: Runescape, with its member items, skills, map locations, quests, and money making opportunities, that are not available to non-members and give them a Superior advantage. Indeed, runescape membership does give players cosmetic advantage but this form of cosmetic advantage is an exception in that ultimately it can become gameplay advantage. A gold trimmed rune kiteshield is still a rune kiteshield in terms of stats HOWEVER it is the difference in worth of the two items, that make it a pay-to-win situation. Gold trimmed items are worth more than their plain counterparts which affects gameplay(money making opportunities), but we are talking about flairs, and flairs I assume aren't going to be traded back and forth between players, which means it has no in-game monetary value, which categorizes it under a the same cosmetic category as league of legends skins. If you want to get tacky about psychological advantages, I can just as easily say that i feel at a disadvantage to players who have known alt accounts, yet we still allow those. We'll allow the use of alt accounts, but we won't give a cosemetic advantage? k den.

  9. A twist on zombie survival-its starts off with a random selection of people on one team (probably a percentage of the people that are on at the given start time) and every time they kill someone that person becomes a zombie and hunts with them. For people that joined midgame there would be a drop-zone where it is the surviving populaces job to safely escort them to bases and yaddha yaddha yaddha. This would allow interaction between incoming players and those currently in. The game ends either at a time limit or when a percantage of survivors remain (of course this is because a new player could join very late and it would keep going and going). Of course there would also be rules for both zombies and survivors that would make sure neither side has an advantage (it wouldnt be fun if all the survivors were in high towers with one hit kill bows and what not). Some suggestions I would have potentially are speed buffs for zombies or permanent night vision. Anyways im just tryin to throw out stuff in my head. Thanks for reading. Tl;dr The zombies are PLAYERS not mobs increasing number by killing survivors. Thedonvito17
  10. So is the spawn already built?
  11. So I was reading through the forums on the "how to save the servers" and one of the things commonly popping up were the "minigames and fundraisers" and I was thinking for a server wide fundraiser event we can do a zombie survival kind of thing where its starts off with a random selection of people on one team (probably a percentage of the people that are on at the given start time) and every time they kill someone that person becomes a zombie and hunts with them.
