  1. Much appreciated Den. I assume by "many" you're referring to a diamond pickaxe & a name tag. While within modmode, I was unable to drop my tool into a block of lava- no change occurred in my inventory. At around the same time, I was checking whether or not name tags were working again. An interaction with a chicken & a tag while in modmode showed no change, so I privately put one into my chest to test with my non-modmode account. At the same time, I placed the pickaxe in my chest to burn on my non-modmode account. I can assure you that these items no longer exist, that the tag did work in non-modmode, that that specific pickaxe was not used outside of modmode, and that no benefit was made in the testing of the nametag, as said chicken has since been laid to rest. As an additional note, were my player/ender chest data intact (I assume it's been rolled back as per S ban guidelines), you'd see that I already possess several pickaxes, all of which are enchanted by myself (with the exception of a highly damaged dpick unbreak3/eff3). I rarely, if ever, make more of something than I have to. At the time of this instance, I was in the process of grinding for the third dpick I needed, a silk touch one (As opposed to a fortune one & a general digging one). I had, and have, no use for another pickaxe. You may ask "Why not use /ci, then respawn the mod kit?" Only within the past few moments have I realized that to be an alternative to my own method, but at the time wasn't a clear option for me. Over the past few days I've come down with a bit of a bad cold, and unfortunately the few times I've been awake I've been thinking a little less-than coherently. Any other concerns?
  2. Believe this to be an unjust ban, unless I'm missing something. If this's about moderation on S, completely out of line on how it's being handled. Ban information: http://www.mcbouncer.com/userban/13139094
  3. There's more than enough time left in this revision to make a transportation system, nick If moderators were chosen as spontaneously as you claim, nick, most of the regulars of C (examples Mag, Hail, Diff, yourself, Flug, etc etc) would have been chosen already. Putting my opinion of your past concerns bluntly, it just sounds like anger coming from you at this point, impatience, a sense of entitlement. Everyone has an equal chance to start down that road, some just sooner than others. Everyone who's thought of for the potential position is gone over with a fine-tooth comb, nothing is overlooked, and while some things outweigh others, all aspects of a candidate are taken into account. Again, it really isn't that simple without changing the purpose of the server as a whole. To your point of being trapped in the past- Are we? Or do we simply allow people to cut straight to the matter of what Creative Mode is about, without the limitations of Plots, without the overconfidence with Brushes, etc etc?
  4. Plotme works that way by confining a player to a specific region within a world. Such methods would not work in an mixed open/plot world.
  5. All I know is that none of them were placed by you. Thanks for being patient, unbanned
  6. Hey, banned you back in August after I found over 2000 non-generated blocks broken by you, with nothing built. Seeing as that was 4ish months ago, willing to unban you, provided you reply back stating which rules you've broken. nerd.nu/rules
  7. Considering we have no advertising venue of our own, in any form, it couldn't hurt. We have our pride as the longest running servers, as well as just plain (but safe) vanilla aspects of creative that can't be found on many others. There's been more than a few threads discussing this, and at the moment it's the only step that can be taken without changing the dynamics of C we know & love.
  8. We really don't need to add anything, or take away anything either. All we need to do is put out some kind of advertisement, as many of us have suggested many times.
  9. The one main feature that separates our Creative server & the vast majority of others is the plot system. With the system, it's fairly simple to limit usage of Worldedit & confine a player's edits to a singular area, making it far easier to monitor. While the plot system does include the option to allow other players to build with you on your plot, it distinctly separates builds & players from each other, which goes without saying is not what our attitude toward creative mode is & has been for the past few years. Worldedit commands, though they can be restricted to smaller uses, can be easily abused to destroy other people's builds in a freeworld environment, and are more than a little bit of a pain to repair. Though a small portion of the argument against it can be attributed to the stress it puts on the server, the potential for its abuse far outweighs any other argument.
  10. Suggested that. Still floating around, somewhere
  11. The lot of you seem to miss the fact that while some people participated in certain actions with certain parties, others merely associated with them. While I can't speak for all, I'm sure that the majority of the other staff members can see that there are differences between cases such as LRO's & Carver, and as such are being/have been treated as such. Actions speak just as loudly, if not more than, words. There may have been some kind of hysteria over AVO in the past at Nerd, but such mistakes caused by that are dealt with as they come up, with everything that's happened since that time taken into account. And Carver, never spoken with you before, or had the opportunity to, but you must admit that at their peak & even now, the name of AVO didn't/doesn't spring to mind as a gaming community, but rather as a well known group of hackers/modders/however you'd like to put it, to those outside of their own community.
  12. Getting a bit unprofessional here, but it's funny that you notice who's teleporting you (shown in chat), but neglect to see that they've called your name several times beforehand.
  13. Teleporting you back to your location was the only choice left to get your attention aside from kicking you, which I prefer not to use with cases of combat logging, as you can never be 100% sure when the person in question will log back in. You were walking within 10 blocks from the designated point, which was your logout/in point.
  14. You've yet to even physically see me on S out of modmode, and as far as I know Fever & I aren't allied. Message a Head Admin through PM to have them interact with this appeal.
  15. You have a week to go. Post back here then. If you have any further complaints, or wish to incriminate yourself & whiteturbo further, take it up with a head admin.
  16. As I stated before, the decision to ban you was made after you ignored our attempts to get your attention & attempted to resume normal gameplay. To restate, the rule I've banned you under falls into the latter portion of this rule: "Using login as a function of PvP is not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to:" The act of logging out to avoid inevitable combat entirely, which we've well established is what you've done, is the first of your offenses. The second is the use of a third party to monitor the situation for a safe time to log back in, which we've also established to have occurred. I'm setting your ban for one week. Please respond on the 30th of December stating which rules you've broken, and that you will abide by them in the future.
  17. While the majority of that response wasn't pertaining to this appeal, I'll respond to it. The note on whiteturbo will not be removed. We've established that you were in contact with him at the time, by his own admission in chat, and by him volunteering that piece of "evidence" that you weren't communicating, not to mention the fact that he made several trips into that region of the Nether, despite your claim that he did not. I'm reviewing the time period I'll set for your ban. I'll post it here shortly. In the meantime, please review the flaws in your story, and reflect on the conflicting facts in them, specifically this one: "Also, I did say I wasn't in combat, and I logged before he got to me, because I did, and I was never in combat, and didn't even know combat was about to occur since I had been looking at my feet when I left the game." The fact that you've been lying will not be factored into your ban length.
  18. I might add that in the provided "proof" you stated "i wasn't even in combat," "i logged before he got to me." This goes against your claim in this appeal that "I ddin't know is someone had been running at me" I should also point out that if you were reading the chat box, and if you saw I was teleporting you back to the same location, you would've seen that I was calling your name in chat & responded.
  19. Firstly, there is no such thing as a C mod- we are moderators for our servers, plural. While I may be inclined to play on C more, that in no way means that I do not have a grasp on the rules pertaining to all of our servers. After a report from Getafever for combat logging/logging to avoid combat, several mods, myself included, went to watch over your last known location. While there, we noted that the player whiteturbo made recurring trips to the area, never to get any items, but just to pass through & back the same way. 3 such trips were made. After the third, we asked Getafever to leave the area, afterwards you logged back in. Immediately, I sought to get your attention- first through the chat, then through unvanishing in modmode & teleporting you back to your location. My intention was to give you a warning, but that was ignored as you attempted to go on your merry way. After a brief exchange with another moderator, we decided that the best course of action was simply to ban you for what was obviously combat logging/logging to avoid combat, since you refused to listen when you were addressed. Whiteturbo has received a warning for assisting you in combat logging. Your communication with him was made clear first by his own admittance in chat, then with the following "proof" that he hadn't been helping you: http://puu.sh/5WEnY.jpg, not to mention the numerous trips he made to the area during your vacation from combat.
  20. Hey DocQuickDeath (Sr.) The normal time period for griefing's up. Once you're relatively confident that you've got the point across again, post back here at any time & I'll unban your account.
  21. Alrighty then. Seeing as you were banned in April, your ban period is now up. All i need you to do is check the rules & tell me which ones you've broken. Then I'll unban you. nerd.nu/rules
  22. Sorry for the delay, checking on a few other things. You currently have 3 accounts banned with us: siggy11 http://mcbouncer.com/userban/10528225 lobo5th http://www.mcbouncer.com/userban/10644674 mtbolldy7 http://mcbouncer.com/userban/6395401 In addition to being banned for blockspam & griefing, the first two are currently permabanned for evasion of a ban on the first account, mtbolldy7, which was banned back in August of 2012. We have confirmed that these are all your accounts. Before we continue, I'd like to make sure that you're appealing for the right account. Whichever accounts are not unbanned now will remain permabanned.
  23. Heya siggy, I banned you back on April 15th of this year for the use of a hacked client & for general griefing on C. It seems, however, that this isn't the only reason I should've banned you, as we have at least two other accounts linked to yours that were been previously banned. I'll be back to respond to this appeal in a bit, checking on a few other things.
