Due to what I believe to be my university's network filters for incoming data, I'm currently unable to play on the nerd.nu servers for more than 3 minutes at a time. Working on finding a way to get around this, but for the moment I'll most likely be completely absent from the servers, including the C prep map. I'll be on Mumble as much as possible to provide direction for what remains on the underground areas of the spawn, as well as be active on the forums, but will be unable to join the servers themselves. If you've got an idea for a solution to this issue, gimme a shout, I'd appreciate it.

This decision was upheld by Barlimore. We'll treat this appeal as an extension of the previous one, as a response to Barlimore's comment.

Regardless of what another player was or was not doing to you, you are responsible for your own actions.

tf2'd be good for most of us, as it's not only free but bridges the platform gap between Macs & PC's, something few games do effectively on Steam. On another note, anyone want to do a few rounds of Civ 5 (without BNW) on the 30th?

While I can understand your point of view on the subject, its not so much the statue of hitler itself, but the swastikas adjoined to it. We have a strict policy about the use of that symbol, for the sake of all parties connecting to the server. I really don't think you understand what was wrong in your situation. When someone warns you that you're going down that road in the future, please take heed of them. Setting your ban for a week, BUMP this post on the 31st. That's the same thing as griefing, WKON. There's loads of space left on the map, at least in the areas I roam. There should never be a need to use someone else's hard-earned resources.

There should be no rewards given whatsoever.

Doesn't have to be staff members, can be anyone. We thrive on our community, the staff just handles the day to day upkeep of the server. It's about everyone, not just one area of the community.

What can be said on the topic of certain players targeting the same players, over & over again, without allowing them any opportunity to re-equip from their only sources of weaponry?

The concept of survival mode is to get things for yourself. Giving away ANY items, or aiding in obtaining specialized enchantments, completely defeats the purpose of that. Some of you may be thinking "what's the harm in a few exp levels?" For one, a single level can mean the difference between facing someone with a sharpness 2 sword and facing someone with a sharpness 3 sword. It's exterior interference for otherwise normal gameplay, and should not be altered. It's a slippery slope, votifyer give-aways. Next it'll be spawn drop parties, then in-game economies. Then our servers will be no better than the generic, 12-year old run, only last for 2 weeks server. Votifier can be used for publicity. We don't need to give away items to get people to vote.

If people want to vote for the server, to see it thrive, it should be of their own volition- not through bribery.

Here's a thought, I'm sure we've all considered it: Just use votifyer for the voting. No perks, just the attention it'd bring to the community with its high number of votes. Well, I guess a larger player base IS a perk, to some degree...
