  1. For a bit now, enchanting on survival has been extremely easy. It started out with xp plumps, then /unenchant and now Enchantism. These are all great things, but how would everyone feel about reverting to a vanilla enchant system? This would get rid of /unenchant and Enchantism. Having these plugins allows for everyone to create perfect armor, weapons and tools much faster. This was implemented to level the playing field for all users. However, I think we have gotten to a point where it may be too level and far too easy. With the vanilla system, getting perfect gear was a challenge and took time, keeping users on the server longer. Now we are able to create "god" gear in under 10 minutes and I think this is hurting the overall game play. Any other thoughts?
  2. Gear signs are nice, but ultimately, those end up getting camped too. Any updates on when the first Throwback Thursday even will take place?
  3. It seems to me that some players that hardly get on S tend to describe everyone there as "toxic". By labeling all of us in a negative way, nobody from any other servers (such a C and P) would be inclined to give it a try. As a community with 3 separate servers for 3 different play styles, we still need to remember we are all part of the larger nerd.nu community.

From the universal rule page on the wiki: "No attempts to circumvent any protections on the server, including but not limited to the server script, LWC(Chest protection), WorldGuard(Block protection), and No Cheat Plus. Attempts to do so without permission will result in a ban without appeal." Seems like an attempt to circumvent LWC protection to me, however I am not a mod/ admin.

  6. During this revision, I have also started to have these issues while moving armour and other items between my inventory and a locked chest or an ender chest. Edit: I generally have no lag issues
  7. I do like the announcements of when I revision will start. If it wasnt announced, players would constantly ask anyway, causing another headache for staff. It is unfortunate that Nerd has a history of delaying start dates, however, it is hard for anyone to anticipate problems that may come up. Rather than not announcing, it might be a good idea to announce a date that gives the staff a buffer zone to iron out any problems. It seems like the staff always have a general idea of when the revisions will start, so adding a day or two after that could help avoid this issue in the future.

  10. This plugin is working perfectly for your idea of it then. Eliminating glitching out of traps is definitely a good thing.
  11. Ah, I see. Well its not a major issue anyway. At 3 seconds, the cooldown was not even noticable to me. By the time the pearl has landed, 3 seconds has already elapsed. If we are really considering a cooldown, the time length should be increased.
  12. Right now, the cooldown applies when you are trying to open a chest with pearls in hand. Can this be fixed?

  14. Ah I see. I suppose I should have read further than just the general command list :p. I envisioned it working similar to /clan rivalry, except it would tally kill stats between the 2 clans at war.
  15. Is there a reason why the /clan war command is disabled? Seems like it would be a fun one to have.

  17. They were doing some maintanence stuff for a long time today and it hasnt loaded for me since. I think they might still be working on something. I actually like it a bit better than turntable.
  18. Enchantism and XP plump have helped greatly in mining and general resource gathering. Before these plugins, I would spend hours trying to get a Fortune III pick. Also, they help me be able to gear up for PvP if I want. I dont spend a lot of time gathering resources and such, so being able to pick my enchants rather than having a chest full of crap enchanted items helps with both aspects of the game.

  20. What would you guys think about creating an online crew? Also, when do you all usually play? I seem to be missing everyone
  21. Mumberthrax brought up a great idea in chat. He suggested the cooldown only affecting those in armor. This would then target what we want to accomplish with the cooldown (people escaping fights too easily) and keep those opposing it happy. I'm not sure if something like that would be at all possible though.
  22. Ive been playing on S for quite some time now, and I can assure you there is much, much less PvP going on than there used to be. Decapitation is just a fun plug-in. Having a player head gives you no perks, and there is not really any value to them other than showing off you killed someone. Because of this, I dont think it creates any disadvantage to those of us who do not PvP often or at all. Even if a player was not given killstreak rewards, they would most likely still be carrying pearls or a speed potion, both of which make it easy for someone to catch up to you. I wouldnt pass judgement on the pearl cooldown yet. If we get a trail period, that would give everyone a chance to experience it. Thinking back on the times I have used pearls, I really dont have to spam them to accomplish what I am trying to do. I am glad to see you posting on the forums Rhydderech, you brought up some great points in chat today and I hope more people will respond to this discussion. Don't let any negative feedback discourage you, its great to see newer players to the server getting involved! Edit: Spelling
