I'm not sure why you bumped this thread. I'm going to reply to your mail asking why your ban length increased here. In your last appeal you were told that 2 weeks would be added to your ban for every account you used to evade your ban. After that you used 69 alt accounts to evade your mumble ban. 66 weeks + ( 2 weeks per alt * 69 alts) = 204 weeks. 204 weeks from your original ban date is May 28th, 2018.

Hello Forzaire, as of right now we have no intention of reducing your ban length. However, we might be willing to reevaluate your ban length in the future if you follow the rules (no evading, spamming, etc.). 66 weeks + ( 2 weeks per alt * 69 alts) = 204 weeks. This puts your new unban date on May 24th, 2018. Like I said above, follow the rules and we will reevaluate your ban length in the future.

What is the difference between an auto clicker and something like inventory tweaks? In regards to ChironXII's ban, the use of a macro mod is allowed on P and no where in the rules does it say you can only do X, Y, and Z with the mod and with the rule being very vague so it's extremely likely that he thought it was allowed. Would it be possible for the padmins to update the rules or create a list of allowed mods like S has so we can avoid issues like this in the future?

Slide brings up an interesting point. If we go ahead and implement this policy should we keep alts banned under the old policy banned, or should we apply the new policy to every alt account banned in the past? I'm not sure what I think yet, but I would like to get this discussion started again so we can make a decision one way or another.

Hello BCB, we have decided to change your ban length from 1 year to 6 months (December 30, 2014). However, given your history of not following the rules we have decided that any future incidents, even if it's extremely minor, will result in 1 year automatically being added to the ban time for the incident. Also, any further use of alts to evade your current ban will result in 1 month being added to your ban for each alt used. Finally, if you are ever unsure if anything is against the rules ask (this goes for anyone reading this) because I don't want to see you back in here after you are unbanned.

EeHee, there has always been tension between groups of players and staff for as long as the servers have been up, you just happen to be part of the group this time so that's why it looks like it's something new to you. I have been around long enough to see several groups like this come and go, and some even come back, but the current group is far from the first and it's unlikely that it will be the last because as much as we try we can't make everyone happy. We also are very lenient towards players, in fact, we issue warnings a lot more instead of banning someone than when I first became a mod, and we no longer permaban someone and instead give them a chance to rejoin the community at a later date. However, if someone is breaking the rules, no matter how minor it may seem to you, proper action will be taken which if it is a minor incident will be a warning. Just to reiterate what Den said above. We are a community based server, but we are not a community run server and, with the exception of trial period (happened long before my time), we have never been one. We love hearing from you guys and we take your opinions into consideration, but at the end of the day we are not a democracy and the policies, rules, and final decision about the servers are up to the admins.

Thank you for telling me how these things looked from your perspective. This just shows that we need to do a betting job of communicating with you guys. I have a few ideas on ways to to do this but I'm still working out the details. If anyone has any ideas please feel free to let me know.

Survival Mumble Meeting Follow Up Post We looked for several plugins to do this, but could not find any until this current rev. People thought packed ice did not have the same properties as ice, so we tested it and found out they do. We have discussed this extensively, but have not come up with a policy yet. A public arena was built by players and another one was pasted it. We are always looking for new admins, and trying to engage the community more. We did. We have. This one is still an issue that we needs addressed.

Just wanted to let you know that we have not forgotten about your appeal, and we are still discussing it. Thank you for being patient and we will hopefully get back to you soon.

This is absolutely a community based servers, and we listen to the community all the time and use what it says when we are making a decision a lot more than most of you guys seem to realize. It's our job to mange policy for the servers and the policy the thread was suggesting was/is not an opinion, so t it was closed saying as much. I love hearing from you guys and the suggestions you come up with, but in this case I did not see the point in having a discussion on something that was not going to change. However, as Dumbo has pointed out even though that policy is not going to change something useful could have come from a discussion about it, and looking back I should have explained why have no intention of implementing and asked if you guys had any idea on ways to improve the process. It's too late to change what has happened now, but I think it would be a good idea to create a new thread explaining how the mod nomination process works (probably include the reasoning behind the steps) and then ask you guys for suggestions on ways to improve it.

This thread happened in Admin Chat, and unfortunately will not be made public. I should have explained why we decided to not implement this instead of giving the reply I did and for that I'm sorry.
