Hello EeHee, sorry for the wait, I have been talking to a few other admins about this over the last few days. It is unfortunate that you accidentally logged on to our servers with an alt, but by definition that is ban evasion. We will be enforcing our new alt banning policy evenly and fairly for all players, even if they logged in for a short amount of time. The correct course of action would have been to tell a staff member immediately and explain that it was a mistake, but instead you chose to wait and see if we would find out or not. This with your recent trolling makes it difficult to tell whether or not you are telling the truth that it was an accident or if it's just another attempt to troll. Your 2 week ban will remain in place, so please make a new appeal on December 27th.

Hello shoobox, I was out when I read your reply in your other appeal, so I hid it and disabled your ability to post until I could deal with it. I have unhidden the reply and merged that thread with the new one. There's absolutely no part of that reply that is appropriate and I'm adding another month to you in game ban and removing your ability to post to the forums for 1 week. During your ban I would suggest reading through the rules to make sure you understand them and why what you did violates them. These recent actions from you are inappropriate and if continue your ban lengths will start to increase significantly. Please make a new appeal on January 17th and we can reevaluate your ban

Hello everyone, Please help me in welcoming our new headadmin jchance! He has been helping out as a mod since September 2011 and as an admin since August 2014. You may know him from one of the many changes he has made to C recently, Potatoville on S a few revs ago, or one of his many builds on C. As we gain a new head, we are also losing one. Alt Account Banning Policy We are changing our policy on banning alt accounts, and you can read about the new policy below or here. The rules have also been updated to reflect this change. A minimum of 2 weeks will be added to the original ban length for every account used to evade a ban on any of our servers. Any accounts used to evade a ban will be banned for the same amount of time as the original banned account. Admins reserve the right to add additional time depending on the circumstances. Only appealed bans will be lifted. At the time at which an appeal is allowed or afterward, a player may appeal for their other accounts to be unbanned, and if the "main" account is unbanned then the alts are as well. Unbanning of all alt accounts will be done by an administrator or higher. At the discretion of an admin, alternate accounts could remain banned if we believe that the person appealing isn't the actual owner. Bans for the alt accounts will include the name of their "main" account.

Any recent examples? I ask because Tharine, draykhar, and myself worked on putting an end to people describing players as "toxic" over a year ago at this point, and we were successful for the most part. However, like I said above, there still seems to be small group of players who use it when talking about themselves.

Not really. It's only used by a small minority of players who mostly use it when they are talking about themselves for whatever reason.

The logic is that if someone breaks a rule/rules the proper action will be taken. Whether that action is a warning or ban depends on the situation and the rule/rules that were broken. I don't get why you use the word "toxic" to describe your friends. We don't use this term or group people together like that, so I'm not sure why you do. There is absolutely nothing wrong with providing your point in a fun and interesting way. The issues come from personal attacks and spamming threads which is what happened in the "Expanding the community" thread. Seeing how you are not banned for anything, I'm going to go with your not banned for anything, and if you follow the rules you will never be banned.

Examples? Not even close to what the statement is saying. It does not say that you will be banned for not agreeing with the heads on an issue, and you might want to reread it if that's what you believe it's saying. First, you would not have been banned for your actions in the recent thread. Second, it's entirely possible to have a "spirited debate" and not even come close to attacking others involved in the debate. Finally, you might want to read the statement again if you under the impression that new rules were added, "our rules are not changing here." If you have examples of this as well I would like to see them because if someone is banning players are being banned for nothing that's something we need to take care of. When did this happen, and who warned you?

I'm fine with this I think this could create more work than it's worth by some of the players who share accounts, but I would be willing to give it a try if others are. I like this idea. I would like to get this new policy up by Sunday, so please make any comments before then.

I think it's worth looking into an overhaul of our ban system, but I think that discussion would be better suited for its own thread (maybe copy and paste that bit to a new thread?).

This is just a quick reminder to add notes if you guys warn someone for something. There have been a few instances of someone being warned for something, but no note is made which is not good. Adding notes helps us document rule breaking and allows us to see when we need to take further actions.
