      Goodbye rubberducky

  3. Thanks for responding Dene, though personally I thought it would be faster seeing as how you are always watching ,_, That being said I can see your point. The concept was obviously by no means to cut it short, but something that players could rely on to end the rev, instead of simply just waiting it out like most have currently been doing. Say that the rev goes dead about 3 and a half months into it, which is common honestly, then players would know that the rev would at least be over at around 4 and a half months, or sooner if the admins already made plans for PAvE. I can understand both sides of the argument on this one however.
  4. Oh boy johns building in seneca! I shall save you a plot in our medieval district! :)
  5. Hello everyone. I would like to start by saying this is not an annoying "please end the rev plsplsplspls" post. This is a formal inquiry into this idea that I and a staff member who I will leave unnamed for now, came up with. This of course is only a thought, so please don't throw lots of drama around. The main idea is to have some sort of policy in place that says basically after a certain amount of time has passed, PvE either goes into PAvE or a new revision. This would obviously cut down on the 5 month revisions that have seem to become real. One of the downsides I recognize is how it would put possible strain on the hardworking Padmins, which is definitely not wanted. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions on this please by all means tell below. Thank you!
  6. Might have made a terrible irreversible mistake by downvoting you wonder, srry

  9. Building at the start of a PvE rev, running from kitcat on S D: Hm, probably Sci-fi Michael Crichton are some of my favorite books wot I refer you to my first wot
  10. I gave in to peer pressure.
  11. Hm as I was testing this is got almost 10000 exceptions when I set the time to pass after 10 minutes, any idea why? I'm running basically all nerd plugins and vanilla, but it seemed like it got stuck when it tried to rollback broken coal ore house.
  12. ಠ_ಠ you did what?

  13. Basically same feelings as everyone else here. For advertising I have always wondered how the staff felt about forms of social media ads (eg: Facebook ad, twitter ad) although reddit is too social media it's never a bad idea to use different forms of social media for simply advertising.
  14. Haha well out of that whole post, I feel the one thing I could probably clear up for you is the 'don't be a dick' rule. I recall it being explained as something mods and admins reserve in the event a rule was broken, but the rule that was broken was not extremely clear cut. It's pretty much the right to interpret a players actions and ban for breaking that rule if the need arises. As far as all the other rules, honestly you and I must rememeber old staff policies differently. If you even skim through old ban appeals (again like 2+ years old) then you will see so much of "oh terribly sorry, you griefed once? Well you will have to find somewhere else to play". Not saying that is a bad thing, however it shows that the staff has evolved into what it is now of a fully functioning process of listening to what happened, and then usually setting the appropriate amount of time for a ban. All other rules are very clear, like no NSFW (though some could use maybe a definition of what it stands for if the player isn't a regular redditor). Other rules like mumble recording, that is quite self explainitory. It really comes down to common sense and the ability to ask questions if you feel you may be breaking a rule as the staff are here to help.
  15. Dark, like njord was saying, all current bans contain good information as to why a player was banned. Some of the very vague bans you sometimes see are probably from about 2 years ago, when the servers ran mcbans. I understand the reasoning behind giving players who have been banned for almost 2 years another chance. Griefing in my personal opinion is a quickly dying "pass time" (if you may) and many players are finding this game fun again. So really finding out what they did (with of course the exception to major problem makers) is really just digging up old drama.
  16. Yeah the ticks were quite bad when I was also trying it, thanks for double checking.
  17. Noticed this bug also, seems it happens also with dogs, as it too says the dogs are owned by me.
  18. I do agree with this, frankly I find this whole thread to be dramatic. I have been on the subreddit since about PVE rev 6 and actual servers since rev 8 and have watched it grow from "oh you are a griefer (possibly by accident) well sorry find somewhere else to play. To the current system that actually gives players a chance to explain to show that they are serious about playing. I think any sort of discussion system that would be public is asking for trouble, along with already mentioned, more drama. I like the steps that the nerd community has stepped in, and I truly see nothing "broken" or even remotely wrong with it. As far as "voting for head admins or moderators"... nope x100000. This is would be as already mentioned, a "popularity contest." TL;DR dont fix what is not broken. Just my two cents.
  19. Ah okay, I do also like the ability to craft name tags and such. Well thanks for the fast response, cheers!
  20. Hello everyone! Well to keep this short and to the point, I will start by stating this is more of a question forum for head admins and tech admins. So recently I discovered that logblock does not record the destruction of leads that can be used to keep your horses tied to a post. In addition there is a vanilla "feature" (if you want to call it that) that deletes leads after a chunk despawns. My main question is if there are any plans as to fixing these issues. One alternative I have found that could be useful in securing horses would be the LWC feature of locking fence gates (bottom screenshot). *credits: would like to thank glue for helping with screenshots. note* I did not post this in problems and issues because it is not a current issue obviously.
