I am very glad to see this go into effect. Lobby system looks awesome and so far I have not seen any bugs.

Yeah I agree with that. Getting rid of it like I said is asking for trouble though but of course more opinions should be cast here.

I completely vote against this sadly. It is always best to have a fallback, if not then countless people will get away with any number of "exploits" in the rules until we patch them all. That is ridiculous. If such change was truly needed we could specify something such as "treat every player in a friendly way" or something along those lines. I would be in favour of a rewording of the rule but in terms of abolishing it, I see truly no reason.

Just tagging that I will be helping as much as I can during a crazy schedule as well. Edit: realized I didn't say how I would like to help with the guideline room and spawn secrets if possible.

Not a Facebook page, that I agree is undermining the purpose of reddit. I am mostly talking about facebook ads because of the MASSIVE amount of people who can view the ads. I do agree we should start with funding for reddit ads though so I think the sooner the better as far as that goes.

I personally really just like /r/mcservers because of how similar I can see the community is to ours at times. With that said I do like this idea, but I have wondered about Facebook and other social media advertising as well because of its effectiveness I have seen. Perhaps someone could give their thoughts on that also?

That was my thinking Wayne. Curious if the parameters for the alias could possibly turned up to show farther back? Probably an issue as to why that isn't in effect though.

Ah right I forgot trace is within a time constraint. Would this affect rollback too because this same incident I got a "rollback aborted" error because it said it also found no blocks and I also tried longer time constraints.

[Removed Image] So I have recently been getting these strange errors that happen when I use coal on an area, it tells me the player who broke the block and what not, but when I use /trace <playername>, logblock says there are no edits. This might be an error of me still being the new guy, but I talked to other staff who have noticed it too. Am I doing something wrong or is this a known bug that is being resolved? Thanks!

I'll try to add something soon, how much room is in there? Looked about 40x30 when I looked a little while ago.

I think this would apply to harvesting natural resources. You wouldn't make harvesting glowstone in the nether considered griefing cause it is lowering the natural beauty would you? Although I see your point of replacing with cobble and another sand level, it shouldn't apply to a natural resource.

Hm, there are many different versions of the lobby system so I am mostly just asking for likes or dislikes as of right now. As far as a benefit, I forgot to mention people would possibly be more inclined to visit creative or survival if they happen to see all 3 different buildings.

So I saw this in a thread about the community the other day, and I really did enjoy the idea of a server lobby. What I mean by a server lobby is say I connect to p.nerd.nu, instead of getting taken to the actual PvE server I get taken to a huge building or a garden that can be custom decorated by staff. Then there would be 3 entry ways (possibly 4 for chaos) and they could too be decorated and once you enter these areas you would spawn on either C or S or P (obviously it depends what building you enter.) I guess techs would need to let us know if the lobby is even possible. I just wanted to get more staff input on this, as I have talked to a select few who thought it would make us stand out more, along with bringing the community together. Edit: feel free to move to public modchat or what not, just figured I didn't want to get anyone's hopes up.

Since I am the new guy, take what I say with a grain of salt, but yeah this was my concern too. Anyone can really write a nice essay and seem very nice, but the players who really just build and dedicate a lot of time to the server can sometimes be the quiet ones too. Guess I will add though that if this was implemented I would at least want to see something like a detailed description of why they want to be a moderator, what they are like, etc.
