  1. Fine with me, but how's it going to work? Do players get a way to log into it, or do they send their video to the youtube account holder, who then uploads them?
  2. Yes please. We need fort/buff builders, and I plan to have the map done by this weekend or early next week. I ran into a problem yesterday and lost a day of work, but it'll be fixed.
  3. Hello XXLuigiMario. Please wait for schererererer to handle your appeal. If no one has responded within 48 hours, feel free to bump your appeal. 4. Hello middlebrooks. As you can see from Mrloud15's link, you've been warned before for animal grief, and then on the day before your ban for griefing by buzzie71. Also, editing another player's build without their permission is griefing, which is against our rules. While gold and emerald blocks are both valuable, that doesn't justify taking from a build. The edits that lead to your ban were found in Solace. In addition to minor unfixed grief, you took down a large amount of their tree farm without replanting. I checked with the mayors, and found that you did not have permission to put a rail down on their road. I rolled back your edits but put the rails in one of your chests. In the future, replant anything you take and do not edit another player's build without their direct permission. I'm going to set your ban length at five days. Since you've already read the rules, please reply here on May 23rd to be unbanned.
  5. Is this resolved? I went through the full ban list and didn't see your name or IP.
  6. Ores are done. They're plumped higher than the current ore plump on P (minus iron since there's so much) plus emeralds, quartz, and soul sand are added in as ores. Also, caves will be normal this time, which should make mining much better. My mistake last map was that I made a map in World Painter, thinking I could add in vanilla caves and do the plump later. That's not the case, as I learned the hard way. In order to get caves and ores at all I had to add them in with World Painter, which was just a mess. Rarity of ores could only be boosted by whole numbers, resulting in too many or too few veins, and the caves were not vanilla in any sense. Narrow ravine like tunnels and giant domes were my cave options. So this time I got a vanilla, large biomes seed that consisted mainly of extreme hills in the area we'd be using. I wanted this since 1. extreme hills are somewhat difficult to travel, and I think my plains made travel too easy last time, and 2. I like the cliffs of vanilla mountains, and I have trouble recreating them in World Painter. So why make something when you can take a feature and just alter it? Once I'm finished with the map, I'll merge it with the plumped vanilla map that I initially put into World Painter. This will only change the surface of the map, leaving the caves and ores intact. Also, I switched the places of the swamp and the savanna since the area where the savanna plateaus were meant to be were already mostly flat. It suited the swamp better.
  7. It's fine gramps, they'll be off your lawn soon.
  8. We had a railway CTF of 2012 for that redwall, and I loved the work that went into it. Last year my team had no tunnel since the land was easy enough to use (which might explain our lose). I'm hoping this will force road building to make the teams have more tasks other than strict PvP, since not everyone enjoys that. As for TNT trees, I think I prefer non-buff areas to be dangerous because of player made traps, rather than us putting TNT around. Also, progress shot for the heck of it.
  9. I found a seed I liked that composed of mostly extreme hills around the spawn point. I chose this to allow me to exaggerate the mountains' features rather than making them from scratch to both save time and give a more natural feel. Tom plumped ores and added in ones like emerald, quartz, glowstone, clay, and soul sand. Together we cleared the map of vegetation and snow so I can put it into World Painter and change biomes with ease. This is an artistic representation of the map layout. Seriously though, I made it only intending it to be for my reference so it's very low effort, but it gets the job done. Figured others would want to see it. The red and blue squares are the areas for the team bases. Buff block courses will be in the ice spikes, jungle, and meadow areas. The meadow area is going to be a peaceful area with a large tree with a climbing course, with the buff block inside it. I don't have a solid plan for the other buffs yet. Inside the center ring of mountains (brown ^'s) I planned for a wasteland area of mesa/desert, but now that I think of it it could be a good spot for nether areas. The meadow will either be in a valley surrounded by mountains or on a plateau to separate it from the harsh land around it. When should this be switched to MCP? We need help for building the buffs, bases, and mini games. I'm starting work part time after this week so I'm going to try to make this as fast as I can while I have free time. Do we wait for the finished map?
  10. Last question (for now): What map size do we want? I don't remember what it was last time.
  11. Alright, I'll try to make quick work of it to at least get a rough map to show you all. Should I assume two teams again when making it? I need to terrain to be somewhat balanced for the bases.
  12. I'm really not sure. When do we want this event to be? Ideally I'd like to have it done 2 weeks, or at least 1 week, before launch.

  14. No slide, we're saying flow was on and we're don't want it to be on for the next CTF, because of how BCB abused free flowing lava. Glad to hear that the plugin is in working order \o/
  15. The time I would have kept you banned for for ban evasion has passed. Since you've read the rules, I expect you to follow them in the future. Unbanned.
  16. In the past (until the last CTF I think, which still had people acting as staff full time) staff members either played or moderated. I'm fine with being able to switch between the modes again, I just had the old system in mind.
  17. We definitely haven't heard back? Poked slide yesterday(?) asking if he spoke to buch and haven't heard back. So my offer to make the map is still on the table. I have the time, and have learned how to do it properly from making the last CTF map. I'm not going to start anything until we have a plan/theme. I say we get the basic ground work done here before moving this to Mod Chat Private as we normally do. Some things to consider: Are we using the same plugin as last time? Are we going to tweak it at all, or add anything new? If so, what should be added? Any theme for the map/bases? I think my map was a bit too easy to travel last time. I didn't want crossing to bases to be as easy as the previous CTF, but in doing so I made it too easy. It was very difficult to catch up with flag holders if you didn't have a fast horse. How many teams? With 4, we've seen 1 or 2 teams kind of give up during the match. With 2 like last time, despite my best efforts to yell at teammates not to give up, people were still demoralized by the end. 2, 3, or 4 teams still seem like our best option. Having 3 might be interesting. To address teams being demoralized, what events/perks can we introduce, if any, during the event to spice things up? Half way through the last one a third buff point was added. Would we do something similar? Do we want to keep buff points at all? I thought they were a positive addition, but when there was a team unbalance they could be crippling to the losing team. This ties in to 4, but perhaps if things get too unbalanced we could block the buff for a set time (say a half hour or hour depending on the severity) to allow to losing team to pick itself up. How much should be plump ores? I think having the plump higher than it currently is on P would be good. Yes people on P say it's high, but that's for a revision. For CTF people need to be able to mine mass amounts of materials for swords and armor that they'll lose often in fights, but I fully admit it was too much last time. World Painter is a shitty place to plump ores (can only do full percentages D:<) so that program will definitely only be touching the top of the map. Thoughts on custom spawners? We'll at least need blaze and ghast spawners for potions, but should any others be included? How long will this run? Last time we did 48 hours, and the previous ones have been 24. How did the times compare? Other things to consider: No way we can have naturally flowing water and lava after the stunt BCB pulled last time. I'm fine with sitting this CTF out to moderate to keep up with requests, but in no way do I want players to have to deal with that again when we can avoid it. Lets be sure that we have chest access, button presses, lever flips, etc logged so we can better moderate team grief. I remember my first CTF it sucked to know someone was stealing and have the mods tell me there was nothing that could be done.
  18. Locking, appeal is here for future reference.
  19. With your post here, I'll unban you now.
