  1. multiple ban appeals have been made. and the last one stated he will not be unbanned because he is affiliated with AVO. Which falls back to the point why can a staff member be affiliated with them?

A staff member who only rejoined the servers very recently. Strange to see someone gain Mod so fast, even more so someone who was banned for reasons falling back to AVO.

  2. Going about this passively, let's see how long 'til it's locked. Discuss in comments, please refrain from locking until this is discussed. Don't rug>under>sweep. We'll just sort out whether or not to unban Carver here, publicly. Discuss.

  3. I strongly support this. A cycle I've seen over months of my time in nerd is the fucking stubborn-ness to unban certain members DESPITE all the reasons. It's always a solid no,  for no reason at all. This is going to turn into a barneygale unban repeat, just you watch. Players asking for the unban of a player who's served their time, admins/mods alike will simply shout down players with mutes and other retarded shit. I'm sorry if I appear to be aggravated, it's just that I don't want the players to be silenced yet a-fucking-gain. Unban Carver. Don't shout us all down, cunts. my lords who are so upheld. <3

  4. You see Magnyus? This is what it's come to.

There's no food. No shelter. We have nothing. Not even water - the old well by the shed is empty now, with only a few drops of blood staining the bottom.

We cannot live in this place. You condemned us, you fool. All the others are dead - all 346 of them, Magnyus. And the blood - it's on your hands.

  5. Sucks to see you go man, really, but I knew this was coming up soon. We had some good times on C, derping around and generally doing crazy shit. You'd best pop into mumble, IRC or Creative sometime, we'd be glad for you to visit. Don't let shit bring you down man, just push through it until there's light at the end of the road. Take care, stay safe babe. <3 *dribble* :DL

  6. I agree with this a bit, but not on all counts. S, to me, isn't actually as toxic as people make it out to be, but nonetheless is called the "hatetoxickill" server. C is generally regarded as the "stupid child" server, and P is basically the popular "carebear" server. Most of us embrace the terms for S and P, however most of the C players dislike the terms for C. I do know what you're getting at, and can understand it entirely. However to me, S is in a better social state with P and C than P and C are with eachother. That being said, it's quite often that a C player brings up a statement of dislike against P, often regarding the P players building their towns all over the map or simply being unlikable, and most of these are fairly agreeable - not all, keep in mind. I guess a little bit of toxic-ness between the servers can help to keep the nerd community as it is, rather than it becoming an "everyone, praise and love thy neighbour each minute from the heart" community. It's always fun to piss each-other off occasionally, but sometimes it goes too far - I guess that can't be fixed without breaking something else.

  7. This sounds like a brilliant idea. I'd push strongly for this, were it to be debated. However, it'd obviously need some sort of notice to get players joining in, preferably a notice by [server] on each server, as well as a post on the subreddit. Only concern I really have however is whether there'll be a set date for starting and completing icons, as well as a specific source to post it to. Maybe/hopefully after all the icons have been submitted for approval, they could be put into a voting thread.

  8. Finishing admanta's pyramid, Diamond_Lover123's Princess Celestia, and Twitchy1138's Boeing Dreamliner.

    Hate seeing stuff left abandoned.

    Edit: spelling

What about that tonne of redstone stuff you did as I pushed buttons randomly, constantly confusing the entire thing? :c

  9. Too much to say. The list goes on, and on, and on, and on, and on. And on.

My first days on C were strange ones. I was only just re-familiarising myself with the game's mechanics. I spent hours flying around the map, alone on the servers. Eventually, the first person I saw online was achamilton. With him, I built a boat and did some pirate RP. I then built my own boat next to his as he introduced me to the servers, basically giving me a few head-ups on the rules, plugins, etc. Eventually, he logged out. A few minutes later, I recall Magnyus logging on amongst many others. I paid no attention to any of them in chat, just flew around the world. Sure enough, I bumped into Magnyus building something I admired quite a lot. I talked to him about it, asked him a few questions about the servers, and eventually got to know him a little. He seemed like a quiet guy, not too talkative. There isn't too much I recall from that day, but it was a good one. It was the day that I discovered nerd. I feel that meeting Magnyus led to meeting many of the good friends whom I talk to each day. Mira brought a lot of people together to create something huge and beautiful. From my eyes, it looks like a lot of my friends on here were once rather silent, non-talkative people minding their business. Now most of them feel a need to yell "CUNT" at me occasionally. We brought each-other together to form a strong, solid ring of friends.

I'll try and stay on topic here, wish me luck. Over a few weeks, I came to know a lot of people. If you play(ed) on the C server, I'm probably (good) friends with you or at least know you a little. You people are wonderful, inspiring beings. You took in a bloke on rock-bottom like myself, and by clicking on this advertisement I learnt how to earn $399 USD per week by working at home as a single mother with eighteen children. There aren't words to describe what Rev 24 has been like. Honestly, I fucking cannot find any word or any term close to it. It's been a great ride, guys. I'll shut my cakey shittube and just give you a short list now.

    Mira,

    Dribble,

    Spleef,

    Hail's jungle base,

    Ladders,

There's too much. I'm too tired to name them all, I know this was written about as well as a large, sloppy cowshit, but I truly did love rev 24. Here's to many revs more! \o/

Take note, if you were on the log I've made on the river this rev, you're a friend of mine. If you're not on there, use violent and inappropriate language as you demand that I add you on there ASAP. :DL

  10. Maybe I'm being a little harsh in thinking this way, so I'd like to hear from people on both sides of the fence on this;

I keep hearing about those people who don't want to pvp, but isn't this what survival is about? Not pvping is for the PvE server (unless you wish to partake in an arena). Staying on-point, we need to set some expectations for what the survival server is for, is it a survival-pvp server or is it a survival server with haphazard pvp? What would people like it to include or aim for?

You couldn't be more right here. This is - and always has been - a highly controversial debate. Whilst some say that the PvP-goers make it impossible to exist on the servers, others say that this is the point and reason for PvP in the first place. Both of these sides drive people away occasionally, the non-PvPers getting sick of the PvPers, and vice versa. However, you are correct in what you've said. Survival is the PvP server - we PvP on there. What I'm hoping for is if this entire clan addition is introduced, players cannot drop out of clans, thus enforcing the PvP. Players'll just have to suck it up and work together to live.

If the people who don't want to PVP had somewhere they could work for their clan, protected by the people who do want to PVP, it would be a diverse community. Even if it was something predictable like an obvious castle in each quadrant, it would encourage battles between larger groups of people, with more purpose. When the invaders get into the castle they attack the non-PVPers who may choose to fight back, and enjoy it. If they die, the invaders get a reward for getting so far in.

I'll add now that I do mean for the castles to be player made. Look at Vinhaven for an idea of what can be put up quickly when people want to get something up.

I really agree with this. This needs to start happening. For the past year, give or take, S has been full of whining and "stop killing me" players. Some of these players are actually raising good and important points, but the majority is just asking S to become P. I'll wait to see what you guys think.

  11. There are some great ideas in there worth considering.

I have another rough idea to put into the mix, though I'm unsure of the consequences.

How about having some form of 'forced' clans from the start of the revision, whether that be four main clans (as an example) which will help people to work together within their respective clans and encourage more pvp / base attacks in a targetted way. This idea runs a little from the way teams were set up during the first Capture the Flag event if anyone recalls this.

-While people could be forced into one of these four clans to begin with, there could be some timeframe for people to leave and create their own, or to leave whenever they wish.

-There would need to be a large majority on-board with this idea, willing to jump into this, for it to have a chance of success.

I'd like to hear other opinions on all of the suggestions so far.

This actually sounds like a really fun and useful idea. It would introduce new players to a whole new world of interaction with their peers, and would also forge many friendships among those of us already playing. (and vice versa.)

However it may be hard to come up with a good way to introduce it to S, mainly due to the large variety of player interests. On one hand, allowing players to drop out whenever they wish could effectively destroy the purpose of it, with there being not enough participants able to keep it running to a purpose. On another hand, not allowing players to leave clans could force them into PvP which they would much rather avoid at all costs, effectively destroying the fun for them and putting them in tough, unwanted situations time and time again. I can definitely see it being an engaging activity in the future and would push hard for it to be brought in, but I do feel that it can either - A: Make player's experiences be far more lively, active and enjoyable, or B: Pressure and scare players away from the servers to escape the PvP. I think a poll would be real good on this, it'd be quite interesting.

  12. O_O

Who was angry? Who was arguing?

How has this gone "too far"?

I personally don't see an apology and discussion as things going "too far", I see it as a step in the right direction to getting peoples concerns sorted out.

In fact, your post is the only post I've felt is overly aggressive and rude so far.

You don't seem to be looking very far at all at what I said in my post. It's gone too far because one of the greatest admins we had left, a few of our best mods have left and many players have left all due to an incident that really shouldn't have happened. I'm not standing up for anyone here, except those actively working on solving it rather than countering every post by another player (default, mod or admin) and thus creating another small  storm of confusion to be sorted out. You don't seem to have paid any attention at all to my post. If I recall correctly, there's been a lot of hate and over-the-top insults on the subreddit. However I do apologize for the aggressiveness of my post, I was just getting frustrated is all. Also, the points I made in my post weren't my directed on this thread at all - it was directed mainly at the subreddit and a few stray comments on the forums that only stir up shit. My post was directed at the majority of us involved in this, not this particular thread. I felt this the best place to post it, however, due to it being a big key point in solving all this. I honestly don't believe you if you're asking me whether anyone in the community has been upset or angry.

  13. I for one would like to see horses spawning regularly and naturally, mostly. This rev has been.. well, very short of neighing animals. Whilst I think that protecting horses goes a bit too far, I certainly disapprove of the fact that once a players horse is killed, it's near impossible to get back as the only method is to find a Villager and hope it can trade Horse Eggs or cure a Zombie Villager and hope it sells Horse Eggs; if it doesn't, rinse and repeat. I'm certainly against dozens spawning every minute, of course. It just needs to be more within reach to own a horse. Perhaps the same principle could apply to cows, but no further than that.

This has been a pretty good rev, the spawn done well in my eyes and the roads made nicely. There's been little shortage of detail and attention to server buildings, (staff made ones such as spawn) and generally this rev hasn't been as toxic as last rev - hopefully we can agree on that if anything. Perhaps a new PvP arena could be made alongside KoTH and KoTV, but different and very new feeling, so as not to give a player the sense that the arenas never change. I think what we need most of all is a fresh start. What I want to see most is a lot more unique and intuitive features implemented and a lot more polls on what should be added to the server.

Upvote for Jesus (or if you agree with what I've said), downvote if you have no heart (or if you have no heart). <3

    Thanks for reading guys! ;D

  14. I agree with both wholly, except the possible abuse of the second rule in this scenario:

A player traps a large amount of skeletons in a box where players cannot harm them, then releases them via pistons as a trap. I feel this is a form of bypassing the "the player and hostile mob should have no ability to harm one-another" rule by transforming it into a trap.
