What's it like to be a piece of shit?
Imagine you're eating a watermelon - describe it in deep detail.
IE: Weight to the gram, how far you could throw it, how many milligrams of sugar there are on average per bite, what shade of green each stripe is.

I really would be against a mini-games server. It'd require a whole new shitload of technical support, admins, and split up the free playtime of moderators even more.
However, I'd be happy for a small mini-game or two in the lobby as Difficult1 said. Nothing special, perhaps a parkour course above, perhaps a small punt arena below the lobby itself. Sure, mini-games are a core component of Minecraft as a whole, but that doesn't make them compulsory - nor does it mean that nerd.nu has to immediately adapt to it and become like so many other servers out there.
Perhaps in the future when more players are very keen on it, I'd love one.
But at the moment it won't see enough use or encouragement, that's my opinion at least.

I love electronic music, whether it be dubstep, techno,house and trance being my favourites. Chances are I'll probably find some enjoyment out of it, but I have listened to a decent amount of other genres. My music tastes have often adapted and evolved throughout the years. But electronic music is the only one I find myself revisiting. I'm also a total sucker for video game soundtracks. But recently, I've gotten really into Chillstep and will most likely be listening to that.

There's rarely enough people online to make any use of that. Sometimes we get peak numbers like 16, but usually around 3. We also have IM, IRC, Mumble and a load of other ways to communicate. From what I see on other forums they're either abused or never touched.

I'd agree with Steam code awards, as long as they're specified as to what they are.
Perhaps we could even have display cabinets in the judging stand, with named items inside Item Frames allowing players to actually see what there is.
Or we could use signs, but they wouldn't work as well.
Only obvious problems are finding someone who'll actually get the Steam codes.

I love having player built arenas, however I think that there should be some sort of a simple arena at the beginning so we don't have to wait 3+ weeks for an arena to be built. Once there is a player built arena we can discontinue use of the original one

The keyword here is simple, too.
That doesn't mean a laggy palace of Stone Brick Stairs under spawn, but rather a grass stadium somewhere far in the wilderness (to reduce lag) with basic PvP arena requirements. Laggy arenas really piss people off and they're unusable. I think it's about time we had some simpler arenas, far from spawn. The PvP arenas aren't for looking at, but rather to fight in. Sure, we do love some nifty decorations but we don't need Glowstone concealed behind Stair blocks to give just the right amount of light for 50+ blocks on a ceiling that people won't look at.
Perhaps we could even have a really simple secondary arena this revision, I think people would appreciate the option of going to the usual PvP arena but also being able to fight players with lesser internet under fair conditions. Perhaps we could even keep the 'simple' arena in use.
Anyone got thoughts on the secondary arena idea?

There's a lot of different genres I like, essentially my favourite type of song is a powerful/emotional one.
As far as favourite songs go, I couldn't possibly hope to pick one out, as it changes all the time.

Torn, it'd be great if you were up for that! The events would be weekly, but I still have no ground made on prizes.
I'm also intent on hosting another Creative mumble meeting, but will need a solid discussion on how to do so. Pulling off another meeting like the last one at the start of a rev will be great.
I'm not sure who'll be a co-host or even how many I'd like to have, but if we can assemble a short team for it we can discuss it thoroughly.

Next revision I'm hoping to be able to plan some community events toward the start of the rev, such as Speedbuild, Spleef, perhaps some PvP tournaments, but I can't promise anything.
I have jack-shit clue about where to start, but if it's pulled off well enough we could get some serious player participation and, y'know, give players a reason to stay.
I'm hoping that a few people will be hosting events, informal or formal. What I'd really hate to see is 20+ people hosting events all around the same time, trying to compete with each other for bragging rights rather than for the fun. MasterCommaThe's and DiamondLover123's recent Speedbuild contest was incredible, if we can get that sort of thing happening for a while it'd be a big step in keeping players here.Now, a little something I'd love to have, nothing big, is trees. Trees and flowers. I'm not talking massive forests but rather naturally generated trees/flowers on the terrain. Sure, Grass spruces it up a bunch but doesn't make it look colorful. It's just a Grass block on-top of a Dirt block. Flora would actually make the terrain look alive and welcoming, like it used to be. In fact, I'm not sure why we didn't even have flora this rev.
