Heh. I've managed to break the portal block. Also I havent found the main island through the portal. But then again, snapshots must have updated.

Fine. As you know, end dimension is limited to some kind of island. In 1.9, the portal to the 2nd end dimension can be demolished and never be put back up again. I don't believe that you can even place the portal block once it has been destroyed. So you need to make it indestructable!!! Also the 2nd end dimension is unlimited. You should make it limited. Maybe to the same extent as the nether or so, but it's a 4th world to consider. Also ender dragon resets will need to be disabled or something until the playerbase can set up a contained ender dragon grinder. You might need to do some editing to make some dungeons for the end. Also make shulkers non-limited.

May I join testing? I've done some snapshots and have identified some things for the admins to be aware of.

I get alot of disconnects randomly when playing or leaving my scripts to AFK, rendering them useless. The errors include forced removal by host or timeout but everytime I get these errors, i can load any webpage just fine since my network is fine. I can do a router restart, but wanted to see if it's something serverside.

What about using it to keep all chunks loaded?

Lag has been cray cray. But reading C45y's topic, one thing that stood out to me was the amount of ram available. 16gb of ram for a map that is considered 2-8gb (all deminsions) and all of those plugins seems like a memory issue. So My first suggestion would to be to bump up memory from 16gb to 24 or 32gb and monitor smoothness. Second, I saw that plugins have been turned off and on. My suggestion is to monitor memory bandwith and processing percentage of the plugins. Monitor memory usage, processing percentages, and connectivity. Also check for DDoS and bitcoin miners on the server.

I like the PvP ring, I just hate the idea of PvP.

Do you think it's reasonable that this is done considering that my past warnings are from revs 14 and 15? I don't remember the first one, but I knew that the 2nd one was digging sand off a beach, not knowing that it has already been claimed. I'm sure it's been over 6 months since I have received a grief warning.Why ban now?

Well, the point of these suggested rules is to take out individual perspective and to put in place guidelines for such a thing. Like zomise has no problem waving the hammer for the smallest of reasons, but if it were to be handled by you, you would overlook it and give me a warning. Its to keep the moderation process more consistent rather than calling out moderators in a way that is disruptive and frowned upon. It sucks when i have a banning mod who is using everything in their power and gives no haste to banning me when others would handle it properly. Therea no recourse, no reversal, no anything but suffering. If admins are feeling pressured, then they shold come up with a reasonable solution.

Nerd.Nu has various rules in place to keep this a happy and civil community, along with bans to enforce these rules. Bans are ok, but they should be revised for first time offenders. In my case, when I used that cave exploit, I was handed a 1 month insta-ban with no warning or anything. My only way to "appeal" was to accept my ban sentencing and deal with it. And this time? Grief over 2 wood blocks. I have received no warning prior, but apparently minor grief warnings spanning all the way back to Revs 14 and 15 are taken into consideration in the decision process of wether I should be banned or not, something that Zomise did everything in her power and took advantage to do. Apperantly minor griefs in past revs and breaking 2 wood blocks inside a rule violating structure = ban So I would like to use my misfortune and propose reform to how bans are done. My suggested rules are: 1. First time bans for any reason (excluding hate speech, racial slurs, and harassment) should not exceed 5 days. Players usually understand what they have done provided that the mod has been reasonable and polite about it. 2nd offenders should be dealt with more harshly. 2. Warnings from previous revs for anything (excluding hate speech, racial slurs, and harassment) shall not be considered in the decision process of a ban in a current rev. (for example: 2 different warnings from 2 different revs for minor grief should not be considered in the decision process of a ban. New warnings for the current rev must be issued first. This applies to everything but hate speech, racial slurs, and harassment.) 3. Repeat offenders must be handled by server admins/head admins by default so punishments are handled adequately and fairly. Like how Barlimore was during my first ban, unlike being told things like "shit happens" by a moderator when a clanmate died because of server problems, losing all of his items as a result. (When this happened before, Admins actually handled this differently and in a more positive manner) I hope this receives support and brings better trust to the Mod/Admin team, who ensures that we all have a fun and interactive place for our hobbies, free of charge.

2 wood stumps was it and I didnt see the holes. Also there were no mentions or notifications that I did any grief this rev. The ban length should be minimal, or just immediately lifted. And yes, I did leave. Got back on 10 minutes later to come back and look for a way out and recieved a ban.

Block grief? All I know was that I put some sand blocks down to cushion my fall(which didn't work, and i died) and moved 2 blocks. That is a minor grief, not an insta-ban. But I would like to know why the sudden haste decision when I havent even exited the build yet, to put the blocks in place since the spawner actually breaks server rules itself by not allowing access to players. If there is somewhere else I am unaware about, then please tell me. But I noticed that this came IMMEDIATELY and harshly after not even being able to GET OUT of the build. There has not been 1 single warning this rev, nor for the majority of last rev about griefing. Major or minor, there has been no notification. Just banhammer with no explanation. I fully understanding what griefing is and understand nerd.nu rules about it, but This is being unreasonable. edit: The build was not protected, and as rules on wiki states, Underground resources are considered to be public property. Mines, drop shafts, etc. will not be protected. Why Am I being banned for digging my way (2 block edit) into a mob spawner when it was not protected and not having a chance to get out and put the blocks back in a build that was already breaking server rules by denying players access to the resource through no openings and locked chests connected to the hoppers that collect the resource?

We just need a new server...

I'd say that S deserves a break until 1.9 patches come out. If you do another one during 1.8, then you run into the same problem. 1.9 will introduce different PVP mechanics that will prove interesting to future revs. So it will be good to wait until then, drawing your plan up.

I'd imagine that it would only support minecraft mobile.

When a reset comes around, the main problem is that people lose motivation and just spend time planning for the next rev, resulting in a huge spike in inactivity. The problem is that there is no fun in preparing for the next rev as everyone loses motivation. A solution would to save the map at a certain time before the rev 16 starts and to enable PvE without any protections, Auto flow lava/water, and destroyable with TNT. Alot of amazing feats have been accomplished in PvE and we should be able to have fun in holding a demolition event to go nuts in celebration of the new rev! Just like S does. Theres alot of things to grief and destroy.
