  1. If by big red dragon thing you mean the groudon I was building, then all I have to say there is that was mine. I tried to take down as much of it as I could before leaving, but alas was not able to. I assume the people that were banned around the same time as me were also involved with the grief? I could be wrong as I have no way of accessing the servers at the moment.
  2. Hey, I was banned for grief on C earlier. I haven't been on C in about a week, and the last thing I did there was modreq and ask for a plot from a user that hadn't been online since May or something. I'm on vacation at the moment and decided to check MCBouncer for kicks, and was quite shocked. I've read the rules and griefing is not allowed, but I can honestly tell you I don't remember griefing. This leads me to believe my account was used by someone else, and when I have access to a computer I'll change my password. Thanks. Edit: previous ban for homophobia (1 Day) https://nerd.nu/forums/index.php?/topic/897-jllmprrt-trooprm32/#entry5957
  3. On those kinds of servers, I'd say temp bans are pointless, as those players have access to things such as PvP advantages (not for much longer, but let's save that for later) and factions allow them to literally claim others' work as their own.For anyone who doesn't know how this works, every faction has a "power level" that determines what amount of land the faction can claim. If the power drops negative (members of the faction die, power drops) then another faction can claim over their base. On to the 100k bans, I do think the bans that took place from 2011 to early 2012 will never be appealed (for the most part) as it's safe to assume a lot of those people don't play Minecraft anymore. I used to play Minecraft with my brother a ton, but he moved on and plays other games. Some of us might need a reminder that it's the active players who've been around that really know this community and how it functions, and I see often that new guys have a hard time fitting in around here. I hate to be /that guy/ but if some of you could give it a try, maybe fill them in on how the rules work? I see new players join and then leave soon after, sometimes not even saying anything in chat. To clarify, we shouldn't force the rules down their throats, but if they have a question about the rules, not answer with "/me drinks" ? (Questions about minecraft are perfectly fine though) Pls to not downvote it's 3:12 AM I might read this in the morning and laugh at it
  4. Oh gotcha. If I click "last" towards the bottom it brings me back to the mcbouncer front page.
  5. Where are you seeing the number of bans? I mean this is known as the server everyone's banned from so I almost believe you.
  6. I found this subreddit... warning NSFW /r/jilling
  7. Are we using the same twitter name (redditpublic) or can we suggest other names, like RedditPublicMC?
  8. I think instead of banning people for combat logging so they have to appeal, just set up the plugin so they're banned for maybe 30 minutes or an hour.
  9. Man that was the shit. Super Circuit Rainbow Road master race
  10. Was plump xp removed to get ready for the enchanting changes in 1.8 ? Dinnerbone recently said 1.8 will be delayed a few more months.
  11. Dex, last rev we had speed builds and that was pretty cool. The creative admins said they're getting it going this rev (plots permissions etc), so I'm looking forward to that. And, if you have other ideas, just request them! I'm sure the admins would love to hear that people like creative (I do, but ironically am not creative enough to think of ideas)
  12. I remember we shared a decent conversation in mumble recently; I also remember everyone screaming "OMG mAGnyUs!!!1!!!1!" when you came back. Funny stuff. Uh the army's a great time, and hey you meet some great people.
  13. Indeed. I personally think survival is cool as it is, but most people seem to disagree. That's cool. I mean one advertisement and a /r/mcservers post that was downvoted into oblivion isn't helping us much. The one thing we never strayed from is giving money for in game ranks / items. That's awesome.
  14. Yeah that's what I have no idea how to go about doing. As a player, I don't feel my say in the community means much of anything (kind of like e-mailing your mayor vs. e-mailing a state representative about a law change (I don't know what that equates to in other countries/territories but I hope you get it)) and also as a player, I physically cannot implement anything. I've also never been in a decision making position at all, and never have made a suggestion to improve something. TL;DR I'm just like "yo"
  15. As someone who started out on those types of servers, I must say I like this much better. The servers on the top of all the server list websites are the ones I'm getting at, as those have a large amount of players. I felt like each time I joined there were different people. I actually revisited an old one I used to frequent, and the only people I remembered were the staff. Here, everyone kinda knows each other, and most new players are welcomed in the community. I actually enjoy seeing some of the new guys stick around. You say the ones who join hopefully will stick around, but we may need something to ensure they'll stick around.
  16. Northern Ireland cuz fuck UK n shit
  17. I always thought the idea of "more players" is a good thing, but think of who we're up against here. The dominant servers with tons of players are factions and/or mini games servers. Since those have so many people, there is no community feel whatsoever, and a good amount of people in said servers have no respect for rules in general. Are these the kind of people we want here? Just leaving this here, as I may sound extremely stupid / in the wrong.
  18. I read everything, and afterward I formed my own opinion on the subject.
  19. Honestly see no point to this becoming a rule of sorts. I've been on servers where English only in global chat is a rule. However, those servers to my memory implemented said rule because of trolls in other languages; said trolling was difficult to moderate. I used to visit a French based server where they had no problem with me using English in chat. But here one of the things that sets us apart is the no tolerance racism/hate speech/homophobia policy. "English only or take it to clan chat" would be, in a way, discriminating against people that don't speak English. Not fair to them if I do say so myself. What I find funny is that Zomise is Swedish, so I don't understand why she, let alone anyone, would be annoyed by this?
  20. Wait no now I remember the greatest pun that has been told (that I can remember) Rev13 spleef club. A steak on the battlefield (steaks certainly raised hueyeueueue) I say "everyone stahp" "A steak pun is a rare medium well done" No one was able to even.
  21. Derp, just spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to set the birthday. Done!
  22. Dang my birthday is in two days. You can do it SuperSlide!
  23. Fuck, didn't mean to downvote Andrew. Pls understand :(
