  1. If you want to see an example, the border of manta/rosecity on P is a canal that i made.
  2. 1) Materials would be wood or stone, cheap and easy to get 2) I would prefer mostly above ground, but of course terrain challenges are problems, but dont worry, i have came up with a system of "locks" to make up and down travel fast and easy without even breaking. 3) if you hit an ocean the canal will just empty into it. If it needed to go across, you would just go across and find an opening on the other side. 4) I was planning city to city, but if i could get more support cardinal canals would be a great help. 5) the best canal is 5 wide 3 deep total and only 2 deep water, occational step ups for people who may have fallen in. 6) Stagnate water because using controls will make it easy to pass people and you go much faster. Flowing water only lets you go one way unless you make 2 canals, much more work. 7) The canals would mostly be strait aways, curves and turns are hard to do, but with a bit of effort can be done
  3. Traveling on PVE has really evolved, with carbon becoming popular and huge changes in travel. I believe i have came up with a great way of getting places fast and at the same time looking great! The answer is canals! Canals are cheap, boats are cheap, and dont forget that boats are a hell of alot faster! Next revision SEA plans to start a project to make a long canal to make travel a snap. Post your thoughts, ideas, and if you would like to help build this great evolution in faster travel.
  4. What about having plots where limited world edit can be used? The event contest showed us that world edit, if kept to a small area, can be controlled without much of an issue. Maybe we could have limited areas for use of world edit commands! It would also let us see larger more impressive builds which in turn, could bring more players in to play on the servers.

  6. More adverts would help.... but arnt we doing the same things today as we did in the old days of C when we actually had more players? In Fact another player Derpinator and I have already started using youtube build interviews. "diff and derps builder interviews" I cant post a link but you can look it up.

  8. I remember the old days of C.nerd.nu...every day brought new players, new builds, and new conversation. That was a long time ago...These last few revs have only had 15 people at the most in the days after the rev begins. I wish to get it back into its glory days of 80+ people who would actually stick around for most of the rev, and I think most people on C would like that too. I'm sick of people coming on for 3 days then leaving. I want to create a player base, have new people, and fresh faces every day just like the old days when I first joined. So ladies and gentleman, how are we going to go about this? Discuss....

  13. They may be nicknames from long ago, but they are still used today are they not? CTF was a great event for the community aswell. Most of the argument i have seen have been in C. (Most likely because lack of players has made them board and thinking about what is wrong in this community)

Buzzinbee also introduced me to the fact that some of the staff members are not trained for the other servers. you have mods who spend there time on P log on to C for example, and not know the rules. In the end buzzin and I agreed that maybe mod training could involve all the servers in detail.
  15. I find that many days i log onto nerd.nu and find myself bombarded with people (on C mostly) acting like players from other nerd servers are completely seperate people. Isnt nerd.nu's bace idea that we are all one community that comes together to games isnt it? Why the hate for the other servers? P's are care bears... S's are jerks... and C's are 8 year olds... I mean come on people. we all have our diffrent opinions of what servers you like better but do you really need to act like its a diffrent race? (for lack of better term). I can almost garentee that im not the only one who notices this. Post here with your ideas on what could be done to stop the madness!

  17. The mantinian empire! (the town you live in now) is a town started by a bunch of people on C being told by me to join a town i made on admantas land. We called it "manta isles" and it expanded to a wild crazy town full of fun, drones, and 47 people! Well we are back now and in force! We hope to become one of the major names in PVE towns!
  18. /lb me being used to grief? i dont see how that would work. Sure it would be handy for P and C maybe not S due to people hiding builds/baces. Maybe it could be a bindable block so that people could still place coal blocks ect

  20. Recently i was on mumble talking with a few people and a few of us have had the same problem. Ever see a build that isnt protected and you want to know who made it? Well playing on P and C mainly I have asked myself this question many times. A system in which a player can check who placed a block would be one of the handy little things that solves an annoying problem. I dont really want to take time from a mods day just to figure out who made a build. Thinking about it has made me see that there is no difinitive reason for why this doesnt exist already. Just wanted to bring the topic up and see what other people in this community thinks about it.
  21. I dont see the need to remove it really, knapptime18 talked about tping to people digging in survival and killing them, but reality is this NEVER happens. Also if it did happen you could always use /tpmode ask. The only problems with the current status of pvp on creative are things that 1. are very rare, and 2. never happen.
