SwitchViewz
Hey guys, I've been messing around lately with reddit CSS and decided I would try my hand at giving us a more modern looking subreddit theme as well as cleaning up the side bar. This is what I have completed so far (minus the sidebar, still working on that): https://www.reddit.com/r/SwitchView/ I'm curious on everyone's thoughts and whether or not they would like to see it used on the subreddit? One thing I really like about this theme is that we can rotate out the picture at the top and can use images that are taken by the players. I was also hoping that with this new theme we could really put the subreddits flair to use for identifying server admins and contest winners.
c45y
Looks good, even works well in night mode. You have my vote, and my axe.
Trooprm32
YES YES YES! This was something that I eventually wanted to dabble in now that I'm learning web dev, but ya beat me to it.
buzzie71
Quite nice. I like the current style's minimalism but your new style definitely stands apart from the typical vanilla subreddit layout and also looks rather grand. Well done :D If this does end up supplanting the old style: might I suggest including the port number into the Mumble URL sidebar header? Just to keep all the information needed to connect to Mumble visually together.
redwall_hp
One minor suggestion: the emboldening on hover of links (like the comment/share/save ones) makes the elements jump around on the page. I'd recommend finding a way to keep that from happening.
Guest
Looks great! Will the links on the sidebar be blue or you going for another colour? Edit. You also need dedicated colours for survival and chaos. :) Maybe also an "other" tag I'm blind. You have it.
Guest Former Staff
At the very least, run it as a trial. Make sure we have a copy of the old css saved though just in case. ;-)
Silversunset01
From looking on my phone I love it. It's a good mix of simple and "not default" \o/
SwitchViewz
Assuming I get this polished up this week and the sidebar finished I'd like to see it live by the end of the week permitting head admin approval. I have backed up the current CSS code and images in case things go crazy or if we ever want to go back to it in the future. SwitchViewz
CSS theme is live on the subreddit! Had some issues crop up with the new flairs mixing with the old flairs that I couldn't replicate in my test subreddit. However I was able to fix them after quite a bit of messing around. There will be a few more minor changes over the next week or so regarding flair changes and some image modifications, but aside from that were good. If you guys have any feedback or suggestions please feel free to let me know. @redwall_hp: I was unable to reproduce that bug both in my test subreddit and now on mcpublic. Mrloud15
I think the nerd.nu logo could be a little bigger. Other than that it looks great, and thanks for taking the time to update the css!
