  1. It could be due to you not using the "https" version of the site, which is the required version for loading things such as Personal Messages and Notifications. I don't know if it applies to the Latest Visitors, I'm just guessing.
  2. I agree with all this, especially the year-round donations and asterisk ideas, but the asterisk could be abused by people donating small amounts of money entirely for the asterisk, not the server. Perhaps something like /donorcheck (playername) would be nice to implement instead.
  3. I agree with this. Survival needs some drastic changes and a big population increase, but I don't want a megaserver. A lot of us like nerd.nu because of the fact that we aren't a bunch of people playing a game online, but rather a community that's developed over time and has always been tightly packed. Some find a megaserver where everything seems unknown, including players, to be more fun, but I think that'd scare off the current veterans we have. If that's what really has to happen, so be it - but I don't think that needs to happen at all.
  4. Magnyus, knowing you has been an absolute blast. Our friendship started the day I returned to nerd, sometime in early 2013. If only I'd known that over a year and a half, you'd become one of the best friends I've ever had. There really isn't much I can say, it just feels strange to part ways with someone that I never even met but knew as a close friend for such a long time. From Mira, to working on fixing Creative with our other friends, bringing up conspiracies about nerd.nu, to me slurring at you drunkenly in Mumble, then to LoL, and now this. I'm actually close to tearing up as I write this, but if I've ever seriously offended you in any way, I'm sincerely sorry. I know I probably have at one/a few points, but there isn't much I can do about that. The time I've known you has been the greatest time of my life. I guess I can wish you good luck with your life, and hope that you at some point check back on us to say hello, chill with us for a while. It's been good, friend. o/ One last time.
  5. I've always kinda wondered what it'd be like for players to drop XP, but if that only happened when the killed player had something enchanted on them, I'd be more than willing to try that.
  6. So, essentially you're suggesting that after a Diamond Armor fight, instead of an opponents armor dropping, Diamonds (equal to the value of whatever would've normally dropped) would drop instead so we don't end up with chest-plates that have say, 30 uses left but rather we get an equal value amount of Diamonds? I really like that idea, you've got my support if that's what you're trying to say.
  7. I seriously think there should be more discussion on this before we do anything with it. I mean, this seems like we're just jumping right into something after taking the slightest glance. A bit more explanation and a nice discussion on this would be nice, as it's a pretty major change to be considering. I mean, we don't even know how we'd go about implementing it with the new features on the horizon, especially considering we don't even know what those features are. Again, we need some debate on this before we can do anything, otherwise we're all going to be very confused.
  8. No, that's working fine, but https://nerd.nu/forums/index.php?app=members&module=list is a good example of what I mean. Under each username, there's a profile viewcount, that's stopped updating. Another example is as follows: https://nerd.nu/forums/index.php?/user/8-denevien/ In your stats column, the profile views count has gone still at 86, whereas the Latest Visitors section still updates accordingly.
  9. This was brought up in the Survival Mumble meetings by myself and a couple others, and it's appreciated that nerd.nu (on the majority) seems happy to look into having a full meeting. During the Survival meetings, there were a few problems that couldn't be solved as the input of other servers was required in order to make a reasonable decision. For a few of us, this brought a bigger picture to mind and, upon contemplating it a little, made us realize that we really need a Community Meeting. I understand that the staff are finally kicking into top gear, trying to get nerd.nu moving to where it should be, but I really feel like I need to stress this point: Don't let this slip. Staff, please, don't ignore the fact that we need this meeting to happen if we don't want to become a ghost network. It's the most efficient way to work toward fixing the rifts between the servers whilst actually getting an idea of what we need to do in order to progress. It should be obvious that before we start trying to welcome players into the community, we need to repair the wounds between the three servers. The main rift is between Survival and PvE, (I admit that I myself contributed to this rift about half a year ago) a rift that's gotten stupidly complex over time. I have no clue how we can fix it, but as a community I'm sure we're going to be able to think up a way to put our differences aside. Again, please don't hesitate on this.
  10. My birthday's in about 10 months, please hurry Slide!
  11. Yes, we've been fixing this for about an entire year now. I think we're making slower progress than we were say, 2 months ago, but nonetheless we're still getting decent numbers compared to the 3~ peak we had before. We're getting, at times, about 15-ish players for peak, with a minimum of say, 4-0. I personally feel like I've done all I can for Creative for now, and frankly a lot of us feel that way - we've felt that way for a long time. I'm happy with our numbers if they continue to grow, but if the staff stop development and our numbers drop again, I'll be packing my bags.
  12. Those numbers are the peak numbers at the moment. I haven't seen the player count go above 10 in over two weeks, and most of the time, believe it or not, the server is down to 0.
  13. I believe that some of the staff are most likely working on it, as it's been brought up about 5 times now and frankly our coffers are going to run out eventually, meaning we need a fundraiser/event. An Event is on the horizon, yes, just be patient and wait for it to arrive.
  14. Yeah, we may as well just do something simple to finish off this revision, such as chuck in a few random (temporary) plugins rather than have the usual Chaos, or perhaps we can just do Chaos if that's less taxing on the Techs. The rev really is dead, there is no PvP at all for 80% of the day. Kinda hard to feel like you're having fun when all you're doing is bouncing around spawn hoping for someone to log on.
  15. FALSE, FALSE YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT "FIRST TO 9" MEANS, PLEASE But if I used a butterknife, much jam would be spread.
  16. Going a little bit more along the topic of CivCraft, I'm generally up to try it as it doesn't look bad at all. However I'm really quite against the PrisonPearl feature - I don't think there's any need for it and frankly it could get out of control.
  17. As DJT832 said, the current Survival revision is about as stale as it's going to get. Chaos barely ever gets stale, I can only think of two times that's happened and they were both due to prolonged revs. Chaos is great fun, all of us house a griefer in our hearts. There aren't many ways to spruce up the current revision of Survival, so we may as well look into ending it - we've generally reached our target for how long we'd like each revision to be, which is about 2.5 months. Also, is it possible to get an admin's word on Ridiculous' idea?
  18. I believe they were actually dueling about another argument but just happened to post it on here, actually. Don't get ahead of yourself, twil!
  19. Yeah, I can't help but to agree with this. The rev is stale, let's see if we can get a Chaos date and time for the current rev and then cycle through old ones.
  20. First decent setup, please don't hang me for my shitty keyboard, mouse, mic, and earphones. Album if you want slightly different views: http://imgur.com/a/nca7a
  21. I believe the policy for editing other people's pages is to make sure that you're actually allowed to and have been given permission by the respective owner. As for IP adresses, they do not need to be logged and I'd prefer that to be gone.
