cdmrtbeok
Do you really need yet another forum for the same 5 malcontents to stir the pot and sow hostility through our community and have it permeate all discussion? Are the forums not enough for this purpose? "Anonymous" isn't really anonymous. We all know who you guys are. Get real.
unce
Do you really need yet another forum for the same 5 malcontents to stir the pot and sow hostility through our community and have it permeate all discussion? Do you really need to be so dramatic about a feature implemented to help the community improve? I looked through the posts there and only one of them seems to take a bit of a rough tone. I say leave it up and see how it turns out. It's only been up for a few hours, I'm sure once more people start to use we'll get more constructive posts.

cdmrtbeok
I don't think having the same fight over and over again is helping anything. The hostility in this community is incredibly off putting. It is the reason I quit volunteering my time. It is the reason I'm getting tired of playing again. As I said it permeates so much of the surrounding culture here that it has itself become a bigger problem then the issues raised are. Frankly there are two types of users. One is an adult who participates, is nice, makes friends and hopefully donates if they are fortunate enough to be able too. I am one of these. The other are children who are hostile, entitled, mean, negative and petulant. We could do with less of them. They are the most frequent commentators on the forums yet shockingly not even close to the most frequent players. And no I don't need a thesaurus. I read books. Whoever wrote that in the uservoice thing is a sad human being.
cdmrtbeok
Thank you for that helpful comment Ridiculous. What would we do here without your valued input man? I am at the point where I am short with the overarching hostility and petulance and I'm just being real. You are adding contentless bullshit. Also I won't be replying to this. I'll chime in again on the general meeting we're going to have. Edited March 26, 2015 by cdmrtbeok

You're the one who thinks attitude is important, so stop venting with bullshit insults and passive aggressive sarcasm. The decision about uservoice can't be suddenly reversed without causing more shit. Calm down and give it some time to even out.
tobylane
Yes to tebok, yes to Ridic, yes to keep using uservoices. Name the anons and have a discussion here about what their influence is and their unagreeable need to be anon. Keep the uservoices going, but I'd like to see the admins at least say that they could close something as not done - needs forum discussion. Mrloud15
The uservoice was setup to help keep track of everyone's suggestions so we can better reply to them. However, if it's going to just be used to fight with each other or attack people, it will be shutdown without a second thought, so keep it civil and show a little respect towards each other. Guest Former Staff
Do you really need yet another forum for the same 5 malcontents to stir the pot and sow hostility through our community and have it permeate all discussion? However, if it's going to just be used to fight with each other or attack people, it will be shutdown without a second thought, so keep it civil and show a little respect towards each other. These two posts to me stood out after reading through the replies. I've stricken many words in these two quotes to focus on what I believe is an important point. The nerd.nu forums are the primary source of discussion, I enjoy seeing discussions across a wide series of subjects appear, flourish and in an ideal topic, come to a natural conclusion. Drawing focus away from the forums would not be productive yet I understand from MrLoud's response that the uservoice is effectively a checklist to ensure that people do receive the time to pertinent questions and suggestions however given how rapid discussions can grow, I feel the initial suggestion may become quickly dated if submitted to a uservoice. Based on this, my suggestion would be for anyone on the admin team who visits the forums frequently to pull the unique forum post URL for anything that falls in this category and may not be answered straight away so that it can be aggregated into somewhere within an admin only area to help further bring attention to these posts ensuring that replies are made as part of a public discussion. The admins make a uservoice for helpful suggestions, and then you somehow manage to tie it into us all being assholes and whatnot.. how did you shift your topic from the uservoice to a bunch of us being assholes? How is what you're saying even relevant to the topic? Stop trying to tie every single thing under the sun to be our fault. The drama here was caused by you and no-one else. No offense to you because I do not know you, but I would not assume that you are the former of this quote by the way you've presented yourself in this thread. You come off as very hostile and unfriendly. Also mentioning that you donate makes you seem entitled and is almost irrelevant to this thread. You added that to make it seem like your opinion matters more than the opinions of other users. Instead of "Minecraft Discussions" this subforum might as well be called "Negative stuff about Nerd.nu".
