  1. I'm not sure what I think about this. Are you saying you are sometimes capable of sleep-minecrafting? If so, have you ever sleep-moderated? If so, were you actually awake when you wrote this? Have you been sleeping later? Have you been Tyler longer and longer?
  2. I'm going to be moving houses over the next couple of weeks (til April 1st) and you may experience intermittent service. If you have a complaint please contact customer service at the number on our website. UPDATE: I should have some form of internet hopefully by Wednesday March 16th. If I can find all the various pieces of a desk, I'll be in even better shape!
  3. Will that power supply be enough for that graphics card?
  4. I'm back on forums and will be back in game some time over the weekend.
  5. I will be in a foreign land from Jan. 16-24th. If I see a wild Barlimore while I'm there I will attempt to regain communications long enough to report a journal detailing my observations of them in their natural habitat. I don't think they'll spot me though as I will be wearing a clever disguise (a.k.a. mustache).
  6. Haha, no problem. Looks like it might have another life here! I believe each room already has a pool which was intended to act as a portal if that is what you are asking for. The whole design was put together so it could be copypasted to extend the structure to form as many rooms as needed without too much work. I'll be happy to help with anything you need design wise.
  7. I present you this! https://nerd.nu/forums/topic/3026-museum-build-contest-winnars/ Can be found in Rev. 27 here: http://redditpublic.com/carto/creative/c27/carto/#/-2073/64/246/-2/0/0 I give all the permissions to use and abuse this build.
  8. Admins and mods are in separate categories, so I don't think there would be any issue with comparison of one vs. the other. Additionally I had assumed the actual statistics would be hidden and only the order would be shown. I agree, time is probably a bad measure. I would hope this wouldn't cause anyone stress and would be mostly a useful tool for players.
  9. Currently our staff page is sorted into categories of Admins, Moderators, and prior staff. I would find it helpful if we also sorted each section by the number of modreqs each staff member has completed. That way players can quickly find the titles of staff who are generally most active in-game. Since the statistics of the number of modreqs performed by staff are already tracked, I don't think this would require significant effort to implement. As a stretch goal (to motivate staff perhaps) we could put a star by the names of the staff who have completed the most modreqs on each individual server. Alternatively, play time or block changes could be used as the determining factor for the sort order. Please respond below with your idea of whether this would be helpful for you and which criteria would best reflect staff accessibility to players.
  10. One area I doubt get's counted in "activity" is new rev and event server development, of which I've spent some significant time in the past. While generally my modreq count is sufficient to justify being active, when I have limited time, I often have devoted myself to server development rather than sitting on C and waiting for modreqs. Furthermore I fully agree with c45y. There is little to no reason to "clean up" staff as frequently or with the restrictive criteria that are currently being used. I am further in agreement with Mrloud15. The forums are where rule and policy changes are communicated to current staff, keeping up on rule changes is the primary reason we require inactive mods to go through training when they return, and thus I feel forum usage is probably the best determination of a moderator's status as a staff member who should be allowed to act on our servers however little time they have to play the actual game.
  11. I...uh...uh..yes, yes I did. A veritable redstone themepark.
  12. So glad you guys like it! Love that Convex Selection tool!
  13. Move this post from "Minecraft" to "Problems & Issues"?
  14. Some of the methods I suggested could allow large enough cities to be granted more than one portal or for two smaller cities in close proximity to jointly be granted a portal they would not individually be deserving of.
  15. I think the current suggested methods only do well to serve varied geographic areas and do not do well to serve portals to the highest trafficed areas of the map (i.e. high population or high build quality or useful resources/farms). I have two alternative suggestions: 1. Have "portal contests". No portals to begin. Every 2-3 weeks there will be a contest where people post their city's merits/pictures on the forums, a poll of the competitors is then voted on, and the winner gets a portal. 2.a. No portals to begin. Establish a forum topic where cities/communities/people can request a Portal and state the merits of why they deserve one. A build receiving X number (20?) of upvotes would then automatically be assigned a portal. 2.b. No portals to begin. Establish a forum topic where cities/communities/people can request a Portal and state the merits of why they deserve one. Admins use their discretion on when a city is well enough established to get a portal. This method has worked for Creative Warps since forever. These methods would ensure large population cities, and well motivated builders of any size city (large population doesn't matter if no one votes) are represented and given a chance.
  16. I personally would enjoy having one "slow" build contest that features structures that are heavy in redstone usage.
  17. I think we could shorten the procedure considerably by removing the first and last steps mentioned and end up with the same value of customer service. 1. is just beaurocratica. (Yes I'm coining that term, copyright MasterCommaThe 2015) As for 5. we wouldn't want to jeopardize our status as a non-profit organization during a tax audit. Have fun, happy holidays!
  18. Thank you schererererer! While we're at it, can we make a stereoscopic cartograph view as well? :D
  19. Can anyone fix the cartograph so it shows the entire map on Creative?
  20. Like everyone, family being around for the next 2 weeks will limit my appearances on the server. I'll be around, but not as much as usual until this affliction passes.
  21. I've completed my move. Happy to be back.
  22. You've served the effective ban length already. Thank you for a much more reassuring response. Unbanned.
  23. Ban on 10/7/2015 "Repeated Trolling, chat/block spam, grief." Note: 7/14/2015 "trap grief on S" Note: 5/21/2015 "warned for crop grief on survival" Note: 4/19/2015 "Attempting to interfere with an arena match. Ban next time" I can have an admin total up a calculated ban length based on multiple offenses if needed. However, I see nothing in your appeal that reassures us in any way that you will adhere to the rules should you be unbanned. Based on your history and the fact you can't even keep your disdain for our servers out of your appeal it appears you will have no intention of complying with our rules.
  24. I'm beginning to move, buy, and sell a house. If my presence is spotty for a couple weeks some time in the next couple of months, you know what happened. I'll be back, don't rent out my room.
