  1. To prevent tunneling: How about we set up a plug-in to turn all villagers to Zombies when they're not in daylight. And then we make the final objective to bring a Villager from point A to B, necessitating they be above ground to prevent them from turning?
  2. If we're allowed, here are some additional images of the beehive I took: http://imgur.com/a/H3pEh
  3. Are you doing that by command or does there need to be a certain amount of room left for it?
  4. This issue in one of several forms has come up a few times on C. Back in Rev. 13 when every space on the map was filled near completely this was unconscionable, of course you could only ask to have your build itself protected back then too, as without flying making claim boxes was impractical. If you wanted, for a short time, to have a view of open land you needed to build near the edge of the map, and there was frequently a rush to do so when the map expanded. As time has moved on, with lower server population density it has become more practical to grant players the ability to preserve the aesthetics of the land their build survey's, but I find the old philosophy to be both the easiest and most fair. If you want a preserved view, take a screenshot, it will go away eventually and that's how building blocks with friends works. If we really wanted to grant player's preserved views we'd have a server where each player get's their own MultiVerse World. Just my opinion.
  5. I too will be eating myself into a coma and hibernating from roughtly the 23rd to the 30th. The bears have seemingly accepted me as one of their own, I enter their cave at will, and sleep among them.
  6. Our multiverse worlds are never displayed on the Carto. It is like they're not really part of each revision. I'd recommend we switch back to a single world with designated regions for specific purposes.
  7. I can't handle the appeal, but I'll field your question. The answer is that item frames when misused cause a vulnerability to the server. Sorry, can't provide details of that for obvious reasons.
  8. Well thanks, I don't really look at the posts because its always at the same time and place, so I hadn't noticed. Thanks! Still, maybe that would be better placed separately in a folder in the Events part of the forum.
  9. I may have asked before, but could we get access to the //generate WE command? (It would allow World-editors like me to make more than just the standard shapes.)
  10. It would be nice if we had a 9 trophy stands, where the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place builds are copied after each round. This would allow us to view the winners from each week's set of rounds at our leisure once each competition is completed..
  11. The Creative Culture Guide states: "Regions should be a distance of no less than 10 blocks from another player’s build or region boundary." Is the above a soft or hard rule? I'm honestly not sure how the latter could be true based on the fact that a player could build statues right on the border of another player's build and then ask for them to be protected. It would be unreasonable to ask them to move them at that time. If this is a hard rule, I'd appreciate some extra guidance in the guide on what we would do in that type of situation.
  12. Can we get a location, pictures, or video of the winning build?
  13. Also better late than never, I'm back from vacation! (Hope you missed me?)
  14. Cmdrtebok, I don't have schematica, but if I did I would have helped you as a regular player after closing the modreq. Admins, Thank you for your concurrence on the decision. Secretly I was wondering, "Did I miss an announcement limiting the use of schematica to mods on? Is this is something we're supposed to do now? How do I make this not look like I'm the southbound end of a northbound horse? "
  15. There have been comments related to people not being able to play because their schedule is bad on the particular weekend the event occurs, or simply due to a lack of notice. We should change the schedule of the event to split the 3 rounds over 3 different weekends. I'd suggest 2x half-day events and one 2-day "primary" event on the final weekend. The progressive schedule would ensure plenty of notification time and less possibility of schedule conflicts. I did something similar scheduling a week of 10 minute build contests I hosted on C a few rev's ago (before they were regularly scheduled by admins), and had overwhelming attendance on the final day. An added benefit would be that staff would have more time between rounds to find solutions to any bugs or other issues. We could even get creative and change the map or rules between the 3 events so we have 3 different flavors of CTF.
  16. I think most staff when voting on new mods primarily consider whether a player can be trusted to obey and enforce the rules we've established for the server, and act maturely when doing so. Is it really critical how "active" each of our staff is, as long as they are all reasonably cognizant of the specific rules we enforce (which don't change nearly as frequently as when the server started)?
  17. Issue was resolved for me (Windows 10) by installing the latest graphics card drivers for my machine (which required me to flash the BIOS).
  18. In case anyone wanted to know, that command is //replace 9 3 ...
